Gift: Cello -- She may be a scrawny thing, and she probably looks damn silly sitting behind one, but there's no question she has talent with a cello. She hasn't been playing for as long as some have (really, who starts playing the cello at five? It'd be twice her size), but her real gift helps a lot and keeps her competitive -- Absolute Pitch. It makes music classes (and performances) at Barren Pines much more simple, despite the rigorous competition. Science though? Forget it. Dumb as a rock.
Virtues:
Generally helpful -- Most of the time, if asked, she'll help you without a moments hesitation. And she usually won't ask questions about it either. Need a pencil? She has an extra, and won't ask for it back. Need a tutor? A partner for a duet? Lucy doesn't think these things are such a big deal, and does them without thinking too much about it. What she doesn't realize is that what wasn't a big deal for her, might have been a big deal for someone else, something they appreciate. It certainly helps to redeem her 'moody-ness.'
And although she really does not think too highly of people most of the time, it does make her feel good when someone flashes her a smile and a thanks.
Purposeful -- Although she's not die-hard by any means, it's not in Lucy's personality to give up something she wants, unless it becomes obvious it's impossible to obtain it. Considering those things are few and far between, this determination is a rare occurrence, but when it does surface, she's not likely to give up without a fight.
Flaws:
Overly emotional -- Luce is sensitive, and not in the good way. She tries really hard not to show it, and tries to act tough, but she is just one of those girls who you have to walk on eggshells around, and many things often hurt her feelings more than people realize. She's likely to take things to heart, and she may even cry about it, but maybe this is why she's so good at the cello. Pour your heart and soul into an instrument, and it'll respond. Better than people do, anyway.
Temper temper -- Luce is not a nice person when she doesn't want to be. She does not like you, and she does not want to be around you. Prone to getting over-excited, she frequently jumps to anger as a result, which quickly spreads to everyone, not just the offender. The reason isn't exactly their fault, but hey, it's not her fault she got pushed around as a kid. Say the wrong thing, you might never mend the relationship enough to make her stop glaring hatefully at you. Get her too worked up, and her fists might be swinging (albeit pathetically -- she's a rather listless girl, which is pretty funny, considering she plays such a large instrument)
Unmotivated -- Even with the cello, Abigail faces an extreme lack of motivation, despite her talent. Passed experiences have lead her to believe that usually, situations are hopeless. She use to be one of those cute little girls who loved everything and everyone, but somewhere along the way, she lost the faith, not in religion, but in people and in life. The only thing she's truly interested in anymore is the cello, and even that is fading. She won't ever let it get bad enough that she'd get dropped from the program, but her listlessness becomes more apparent by the year.
