Lina had been making her way back towards the beach when she haw him again. Wasn't it Quirne where she had first seen him? The purple Jala with the golden tail. Yes, he had been oddly colored but he was the only male she had met that hadn't been mean or completely into himself. In fact, Udi had been the perfect gentleman. Lina had definitely been hoping to see him again and there he was. Had he found his father yet? She wasn't entirely sure but perhaps he wouldn't mind a little bit of company.

Slowly the little white mare trotted up to him and watched as he turned to see her coming. "Udi!" She cried happily out to the stallion, letting him know that she was glad to see him.

Udi looked up at the sound of hooves. He had been on his way home to find out if anyone had seen his father. So far, he himself hadn't had any luck. The purple Jala had spent his first day searching Quirne. He had assumed he could spend the other two slowly skimming the rest of the land on his way back. Today his spirits weren't exactly high, especially after the Ichsa stallion who had led him on, but he did perk up at the site of Esterlina. She had been nice enough the first time he had met her and she did seem to be excited now. Well, he couldn't just stand there miserable now could he?

With his ears pricked he trotted over a little to meat her half way. Even though the two didn't quite know each other well, he considered her to be a friend. "Would you like to join me?" Udi asked the mare. "I seem to have found this rather delicious... well to be honest I have no idea what it is. But it tastes great!" He said enthusiastically. He did still wonder what it was but he doubted it would kill him. Even if it did, so long as it didn't hurt, he wouldn't mind. The stallion had never had much of a problem with the thought of death.

Esterlina was quite glad to see that Udi wanted her to join him. And whatever he was eating, must be good from the look on her face. The mare quickly joined him an took a little nibble of what he was eating. Oh! It was good! The two then ate silently side by side for a while.

Once Udi had had his fill he lifted his head and took a good look at Esterlina. Wow! She was really pretty. Had she been that pretty before? The poor stallion couldn't quite remember. Actually, everything seemed to be rather fuzzy. Udi laughed a little has his world seemed to flow by, causing Lina to raise her head. Yes, she was definitely pretty. That was odd. The stallion tried to shake his head ridding himself of the thought, although it didn't work. He was gay! He wasn't supposed to like mares! But here he was, strangely attracted to Esterlina. Judging by the look on her face, she was attracted to him too.

Whatever else happened that night remained a blur to Udi.

The Purple Jala woke with a splintering headache and an empty stomach. What had happened last night? He tried to remember but all that came were bits of fragmented memories. The only coherent memory he seemed to have was of Esterlina.... oh no! What had happened? Quickly the stallion turned his head to look for the mare and saw her laying just a few feet away still fast asleep. Slowly and carefully, Udi made his way over to the mare and nudged her a little.

Esterlina had been in a deep sleep when Udi woke her. She jumped a little as the Jala nudged her awake and then quickly settled down before angering her head any further. Whatever they had done last night, she couldn't remember any of it. Perhaps the stallion would?

"Udi, what happened last night?" She asked him as she carefully stood up. No only was her head pounding but she was unbelievable hungry. Had she ever been this hungry before?

Udi let out a little sigh as Esterlina asked him about the night before. It seemed that she must remember just as little as he did. Well, it was a shame but at least they hadn't hurt themselves. Last night would just be one of those little awkward subjects they probably would try to avoid any time that they ran into each other.

"I'm afraid I don't remember. I was actually rather hoping that you would be able to help fill me in to be honest." Udi's stomach gave a little rumble just as he spoke. "However, I do know that I'm hungry." The purple Jala was about to take a bite of the grass at his hooves when he remembered just how good it had tasted last night, and now that he looked at it he didn't quite recognize they way it looked. "Hmm, perhaps it was something we ate? I don't think I've ever seen grass that looked like this before, there appears to be some weeds mixed in here."

Lina smiled a little awkwardly at Udi as he talked. Well, so much for the idea of him filling her in. Perhaps her memory would come back in due time. She was also about to eat some of the grass when Udi spoke again. "Hmm, perhaps you're right. Maybe we should head toward..." She stopped for a moment thinking of where they should go. It was rather obvious that this particular spot was not very good for eating. "Shrilal? I haven't visited my tree in ages and for some reason I just feel like I need to..." Her voice trailed off then as soon as she realized what she was really feeling. They had a tree. The signs were unmistakable. She was so much more hungry than she should have been, neither of them remembered what had happened, and she felt like she needed to go to Shrilal.
