The night was dark and the place was empty and secluded. Good.
Bellatrix had been taking her Sailor Scout duties less than seriously. Really, she just had more important stuff to do. What was more important than defending Destiny City? Life of course! There was school, theatre, and all her other obligations to attend to. Plus, she was sure there were tons of other scouts out there on the job.
So why was she here now, powered up beneath the chilly moonlit sky?
Recalling the incident with the Negaverse Lieutenant Obsidian, Bellatrix knew, despite how much she wanted to deny her duty, she had to at least learn her powers - how to control them - and how to fight. Too bad she really hadn't been told jack s**t when she was awakened. To Bellatrix, this senshi thing was still just another role in a play. It couldn't be real. This was all just a really really weird prank, right?
So why did she have these moments when everything made since, like that sudden epiphany? "Sailor Bellatrix, Amazonian Senshi of Fortitude! ...yeah right...." She said, kicking a can that the wind had blown in her path.

Sailor Walküre was on her usual night patrol. Every evening she went out and did her duty, protecting the innocent and defeating the things that go bump in the night. That's what super heroes did. The job was thankless, well, less than thankless considering the police weren't exactly warming up to the senshi.
She heard the rustling of a can around the corner. More Negaverse agents? Battle ready, and preparing to pounce, Sailor Walküre popped out into the street. "Prepare to..... huh?" She stared confused at the girl in front of her. The fuku was unmistakable. "Another senshi?" she said to the other girl.
She wasn't trying to be rude, really. She just wasn't expecting to run into another senshi tonight. Sure, it happened from time to time because the city was crawling with them, but it didn't make it any less surprising each time.

Bellatrix's reaction was about the same. Her wide-eyed, innocent, expression was unmistakable. Bellatrix had never met another senshi, aside from Iris. She'd definitely never met another one while patrolling...if you could call it that.
"Well this is certainly...different?" She said with a small smile that seemed to say 'errrr, what a coincidence?'

Walküre sized the other girl up, which was what she usually did in the situation. She looked as shocked as her, and frankly, a little green behind the ears. Maybe she had never encountered another senshi before? Or if she had, maybe just not one as stunning as herself.
She decided to skip the formalities of striking poses and trying to be intimidating that she usually found her self doing, and instead just extended her hand to the other girl, "I'm Sailor Walküre, the senshi of Battle."

Bellatrix looked out at the outstretched hand for a second before shaking it. "I'm Bellatrix, Amazonian Senshi of Fortitude." That was right, right? That's what her instinct had told her anyway...fortitude. That darn cat had at least told her that she was Bellatrix, but the rest had been up to her to figure out. It was really quite stressful.
Bell put on a friendly face, "Hey, think you could help a newbie out? You see, I never really got told what any of this...senshi business was about. El-err, Sailor Iris told me some but nothing that really made much since...

"Well actually," Walküre said as a small frown came across her face, "I'm still fairly new at it myself, but I can impart what wisdom I've gathered already."
She made a motion with her hand for Bellatrix to follow and continued to go along her usual patrol route. Amazonian senshi? That was a pretty fancy title. Mili wondered if that meant that there were other Amazonian senshi out there for Bellatrix to find. She also wondered why she didn't get a fancy title in front of her name.
She hadn't met a Sailor Iris yet, but apparently she hadn't given this girl the full run down. "Why don't you start by telling me what you know already?"

Well, technically Amazonian wasn't in her true tittle, but she'd done her research. Bellatrix was the star of the Amazons,..so it made since, yes? But then again, Bell didn't really know the rules. And it seemed the same could be said here, as well. Did Astrea not inform anyone? If she can poof a henshin pen out of thin air, why not a 'how to' manual!? Ugh!
"I know my name, how the transform, and my attack. I know we can evidently jump pretty high, and..well that would be the extent of it..."

Thinking about it, that was all Walküre really knew also. But what else was there? Now she didn't want to look like she didn't know what was going on, and scrambled to find something that wasn't in the short list of things a senshi should know.
"So you know the basics. That's good at least. Have you been in any battles yet and learned how to use your attacks?" Being that it was her power sphere and all, Sailor Walküre was confident in her battle skills. Maybe she could coach the Bellatrix about that.

"Well, there was this one incident with this one Negabaddie. That was when I found my power though. It was...really my first encounter with anything,...other than the youma that Iris and I were confronted with....that was when that cat came and told me who I was though." Bell heaved a heavy sigh. "And nothing has been the same."
Bellatrix wondered maybe if she just moved away things would go back to normal...or was this happening all over the world, and not just Destiny City? If it was just the city, than why here of all places? Ugh...so much to think about.

She wasn't very good at consoling. At her core, no matter how sweet Sailor Walküre acted, she was still kind of a b***h. So she did her best, and gave Bellatrix an understanding smile. Walküre loved her powers, and was glad to be a senshi, but she never thought that that wouldn't be the case for anyone else.
"Hum, I propose that we patrol together in the future then. Safety in numbers, right? Plus then if we run into any bad guys, I can show you the ropes." She paused for a moment, thinking. "Oh, and try to hang back at first so you don't get beat up. It can be tough out there."

Bell nodded. "Okay." Yeah, no kidding! She'd gotten away from Obsidian based completely on pure luck. She hadn't even known when she opened that warehouse door that she had tripped a switch, but the sound of police sirens had been....oddly comforting.
Yeah,...she definitely could learn a thing or two.
"Grouping together sound like a good idea. What if these youma and Negaverse agents get to be too strong for just one of us? It...seems like a logical thing to do. Maybe...maybe we shoud find other senshi? Not only will we be more safe, but we'll be better informed and more efficient too!"

Walküre had a soft spot for efficiency. She also like to win and avoid losing, which are almost the same thing, but not really. There was a difference.
So teaming up it was then. It was probably odd that she hadn't done it already, but it was never too late to start. It was going to be like being in the Justice League, only no one could talk to fish. At least she hoped there weren't any senshi with the power to talk to fish, that would be the worst power ever.
She pointed down the street, smiling, "See that coffee house there? Meet me there tomorrow and we can start trying to find other senshi, and maybe stomp on some youma along the way."

Bell nodded. She didn't have anything to do tomorrow. Homework could wait! "Sounds good to me. If I find anyone else, I'll bring them too. The more the merrier, so they say."
Bell was starting to get sort of excited. Hopefully they'd finally get some more insight into the whole big senshi vs. negabaddies thing. And maybe they could find that darn cat and wrangle some more answers out of her!
We can end this one here if you'd like, and start another if you'd like)
