Ever since I started Secondary School I became creative as I needed something to do during my boarding school times and ended up making my own species and worlds to write about, one such world was the very first with a race of machines called Teknians, of the planet Tekni.



The Teknian's are a race, if you can call them that, of machines who are highly advanced and strive to protect life rather than destroy it. They are ruled by a council if the 3 that first created the planet Tekni, only known as Number 1, the Council Leader. Number 2, Defence Council. And Number 3, Programming Council. Since the founding of Tekni, over 3 trillion androids, cyborgs and many outside species call Tekni home. This wouldn't really be possible though without the massive station build around the planet known only as Tekni Ring which houses all the living population. 500 billion machines call home on the planet surface in the only city there called Central Tekni. This one city takes up a quarter of the planets surface and no more, the council refuse to encompass the globe in metal and concrete and are, along with a few other races, the only species to truly respect life and nature. Many millions of Teknian's are there to protect the other 3 quarters of the planet, it's wildlife and plant-life.

Ring station is regarded as one of the biggest objects in current existence, and houses 1 trillion biologicals, as the Teknian's call anything that eats, breathes and sleeps. Because of the sheer population, quite a number of Teknian's also compose of the biggest security force in the galaxy with 50 billion security units across the station. Because of the vast station, it requires many millions of combined hours of maintenance a year, this task is appointed to a further 125 billion Teknians's, yes, it too is the largest maintenance crew in the galaxy.

Anyway, such a sized station has a massive fleet to patrol it composed of billions of fighters and million's of cruisers and destroyers. The planet itself is protected by a planet-wide shield grid based in the ring itself making it the one most defended planet in existence. The planet is considered a safe haven for anyone trying to get away to a lawful and peaceful place or escape persecution due to race, religion etc. The Teknian's do, however, frown upon sacrificial and martyrdom based religions considering them to be a gross violation of biological rights and extremely restrict them to avoid unnecessary bloodshed.

A little history lesson regarding the Teknian's oppression of such religions:

The 2257A-Habitat Massacre
When the station was first opened to the galaxy and people began moving in, a now extinct and currently classified species, which will be known as Species A, moved into the ring to escape the persecution from a number of other races, having used members of those races as sacrifices in their rituals. Due to the fact The Ring was considered territory of another species the species wanting justice had no jurisdiction or right on The Ring to arrest them, thus, what was left of Species A were able to live their lives in one level of the habitat ring. However, things soon got out of hand when people were turning up missing for some reason with no explanation to where they went.

Clues began to lead to Species A and an ambassador appointed by Number 1 himself, with the fact the Teknian's feel it's right for the biologicals to attempt to sort things out themselves, with a large security detail decided to visit the culprits to sort the matter out. But the moment the ambassador confronted the chief of Species A the entire group was jumped and swiftly executed, this sent a massive shock-wave of happenings through most of the ring. Within 30 minutes of the executions Class 13 RIOT Cyborgs stormed the habitat level to round up every single one of Species A and forcefully move them to a planet. In the time Species A had been there their numbers doubled from 2307 to over 5000, as well as the fact they had been purchasing smuggled weapons over the time they had lived on The Ring. (Missions of biologicals were moving in every day, even through unconventional means, it was rather hard for the currently small security detail to keep everything in order. At the time the Ring had lax security as the security detail was spread thin.) This made Species A even more deadly, and the fact that their 'teachings' told them they would go onto a better place for their martyrdom actions made them quite a force to be rivalled. The entire battle lasted 7 days 3 hours 58 minutes and 46 seconds, Species A was relentless the fight spilling out onto the ring-wide highways and into commercial and residential areas and getting innocent civilians involved, Species A continued to fight until the last member of the race was killed.

Since the Teknian's began keeping tabs on religions The Ring has been a more peaceful place with a good economy and pretty much a planet in itself.

The Teknian's control very advanced ships with many weapon systems and powerful energy shields, the pride of their fleet is the latest class of ships known as the Fortress Class which can be a quarter the size of Earths moon. Due to their size they lack any movement and rely solely on Hyperspace drives to get to where they're needed and even then tend to take a while to travel the distance. To date not one Fortress Class ship has been taken down and they are generally the command centre for any military campaigns.

In person they do not weld weapons to their chassis, Teknian's are rolled off the assembly line with their basic form and systems. They do this to avoid looking too intimidating while on patrol or visiting other planets, their mechanical strength allows them to face up to even the strength of a Hygathian, and their alloy armour is resistant to most energy weapons as well as brute force. In battle their main tank is the UIV89-6A Heavy battle Tank (HBT) which sports a rather impressive Arc Sabre Tesla Cannon (ASTC's), and two Rapid Firing Pulse Guns (RFPG's.) The UIV89-6A1 version of their HBT uses Enhanced RFPG's or ERFPG's. The UIV89 model uses hover-track propulsion, meaning it can glide over rivers and has a tiop speed of 34km/h but will pretty much sink if the body of water is too deep. However the UIV89A model uses standard caterpillar tracks, has more armour and only a top speed of 19km/h.



There is really only a few words to describe the Hygathians: aggressive, feeble-minded, berserker's. The Hygathians are a large reptilian race which stand at an impressive 9 foot in height, are armoured pretty much all over their body with thick scales and are built like a brick-s**t house. Because of their highly aggressive nature they are constantly fighting, both everyone else, and themselves. To keep their numbers up from the massive casualty rate they use cloning factories to swell their numbers, this explains why the race consists of only males. (The average mortality rate for Hygathians is 395,123 deaths a day. The average Hygathian lives for approximately a week or longer depending on if he can kill everyone who tries to kill him.) Hygathians rarely have any regard for anyone but themselves, however if given the opportunity they will take a job outside the planet Hygath as body-guards or hired hand bounty hunter. (Hired hands are pretty much assistants/escorts to the bounty hunter actually doing the mission he's taken up, they rarely get any rewards for it except a one time hiring payment.)

They Hygathians are one of the many races that care little for diplomacy and prefer brute force and massive guns as their ambassadors, but on rare occasions, or when the Teknians decide to get involved, they will sit down and talk, though it's wise to have a thick sheet of bulletproof glass between you and the Hygathian ambassador to avoid getting any broken bones. Their battleships also represent their nature, they are extremely heavily armoured and sport some very powerful weaponry, but are very slow and cumbersome, and their engines often fail on them, and because they rarely bother fixing things they'll simply launch their boarding pods to the nearest ship. Hygathians don't use escape pods.

In person, Hygathian warriors are incredibly powerful and do take a bit of ammo to stop. Anyone going up against Hygathians tend to bring along armour piercing ammo as it has a somewhat higher chance to pierce their thick natural body armour. Not to mention they also wear additional metal armour, most of the time they can only be stopped using plasmatic, laser and explosive weapons or even tanks with a 170mm cannon or bigger.

Hygathians don't normally use anything other than themselves in a fight, but for added battle-power they will bring their own kind of tank to the battlefield, the absolutely massive XR8 Juggernaut which comes with three 205mm Gauss cannons which were designed for taking down aircraft. It's so heavy it's top speed is a mere 5km/h but it can drive straight through buildings, essentially, that's what it was designed to do, simply steam-roll from one side of the battlefield to the other. It's gauss cannons are a threat to pretty much anything on the battlefield being able to take out anything but the most heavily armoured or faster tanks, they are vulnerable to attack bombers while distracted by ground targets.
