This wasn't how she'd plan to spend her Halloween: taking her sister trick-or-treating. Technically, she was taking Ginger, Zemel, and Aesica.....but the blonde menace had dragged Zemel off to go trick-or-treating on their own, which left 'Zuba with Aesica. Not that she minded; the baby was quiet. She appreciated that. With herself dressed up in Barton Regular armor, and her sister dressed as a doll, they set off trick or treating. Hey, she figured she might as well get some candy out of this deal.
Aesica sat still as the split-one carried her, glancing around at the other younglings wandering around in their costumes. What was the point of all this? They dressed up and got candy from strangers. Where was the deep meaning in that? To her, it seemed more like a market ploy than a holiday. But, those were things she could discuss after she figured out this walking thing. Till then.....she might as well reap the benefits of others' stupidity and gullibility. Candy was good.....free candy was better. The infant did her best to look cute.....she knew how to play the big people.
Azubahiel straightened her armor and readjusted her hold on her infant sister before heading up to the first house, candy-bags in hand. One for her, and one for Aesica.

Kyler was crying. He was on the phone, talking to the person that was supposed to go trick-or-treating with him, and was told that the other kid was sick, and couldn't go outside. He was left, on the couch, crying. Tui and La comforting him.
Tykier came in, dressed up as a vampire, and noticed the crying, "What's wrong, Kyler?! Why are you crying???" He knelt down in front of the boy, and placing his arm on the boy's shoulder.
Kyler cried some more, "H... He couldn't come..." Kyler's voice was wobbly because of the crying. The Lust spawn, dressed up as a prince, rubbed the tears that were continuing to well up in his eyes. The two tentawings kept trying to make him feel better.

'Zuba, unaware of the drama that was going on inside the house, approached the Hilson abode. She knocked on the door, stepping back after doing that. Okay, with this whole "trick-or-treating" thing, you knocked on people's doors and said "Trick or Treat". Then, they gave you candy? What if they picked trick? Ugh, what a confusing custom...
Aesica stared at the door, putting on her best "cute baby" act she could. Big wide eyes, a small shy smile; all that put together should get her some candy. Maybe some chocolate, if she's lucky? She could hope! Chocolate, as everyone had to know, was the best of the best of candy. Well, in her opinion, anyways.

Hearing the door knock, Tykier quickly went, from Kyler, to the candy bowl, grabbed it, and opened the door to see 'Zuba, "Oh! Hey!" He opened the door even more, smiling.
Kyler's ears perked up at the knocking, "Who is it?" He got up from the couch, and stumbled his way to Tykier, and at that, Tui and La made 'grabby hands' at 'Zuba.

'Zuba smiled lightly. "Hey, Tykier." she said, greeting him. "You grew." Why is it people always grew without telling her? Oh well. She then looked to Kyler, a little worried. "'Lo, Kyler. 'S 'Zuba. You okay?" The poor boy looked like he'd been crying! She reached out, gently petting his tenta-wings, more out of habit than anything else.
Aesica stared at the two new people, not even trying to hide her interest. They looked so amazing.....and were those tentacles with feathers? Cool! And the tall one looked like he could be quite a formidable foe when angered...intriguing...

Tykier smiled, "Heh... Yeah... Sorry, if I didn't tell ya..." The he remembered, "Oh! Here..." He placed a chocolate-covered apple into each bag, "Mom, made those for the trick-or-treaters..."
Kyler shook his head, "No... The kid that I was supposed to go with got sick, and now I can't go..." Tui and La were battling for attention from the other spawn. One of their feathers fell off. The Lust spawn sniffled, and smiled. La waved Tui off, and went over to investigate Aesica.

'Zu smiled lightly. "'S okay." she said, chuckling lightly. She then looked into the bag, smiling slightly. "Thank you, Tykier." she added, smiling up at him. She looked to Kyler...oh, the poor little boy! "You could come with us." she offered, smiling lightly.
The baby blinked as the appendage drew closer. What an odd appendage.... The infant reached out with a tiny hand to give the tentacle an experimental pat.

Tui liked the pat, and gently coiled around the small arm. Kyler's sad face turned happy as 'Zuba invited him along to enjoy Halloween. The Lust spawn grabbed his pail, which was next to the door, and stepped carefully outside the door. La waved the Tykier.
Tykier smiled, "That's nice of you to ask, 'Zuba! Thanks for making him happy by having him trick-or-treat with you girls," he waved back at La, and spoke again, "Kyler... Remember that you only stay with 'Zuba. If you get lost, just use that pager I gave you."

'Zuba smiled, shaking her head. "Is not a problem." she said said, waving her hand dismissively. "And we won't lose him, promise." She headed to the door. "Be back around ten?" she asked, looking at Tykier. She didn't like wandering around without a curfew of some sorts. It felt odd.
Aesica frowned a little, instinctively pulling her arm back. Whatever that thing was, it was clingy and foreign and, while she wouldn't admit it, scary.
