Faces of Shimagakure
There are many non-player characters living in the village of Shimagakure. They may have a task for you to do which is always rewarded with some nice experience and maybe an item. NPC's can also help you train certain skills as well. Most of them have been brought to Shimagakure in order to help expand a shinobi's knowledge and others have been around since it was built. They all know a thing or two about a thing or two.
The crew are responsible for roleplaying NPC's. If you'd like to interact with an NPC, just head to the thread they're usually in and you might get a lesson or a small mission on the island to do.

He's a cheerful and friendly fisherman, but as captain he's a bit more strict and cunning. He loves children and treats all the young shinobi on his boat with care and enjoyment. He's always afraid that they might return to his boat after he sees them walk on land, so he cherishes every moment with the young tykes.
Background:
The Captain of the fisherman was once an ex-navy general for the tea country who went on many missions to take down pillaging pirates and rotten smugglers. He knows the seas around the wave country, sea country, water country and fire country like no other. The Kage specifically asked him to be a fisherman at his village for his specific skills in keeping his route unpredictable to those who might follow him in order to find Shimagakure.
BakaLao was suffered heavy damage to his body due to the awakening of the Two Tailed Nibi. He courageously saved many through his fishermen skills, but almost went to the bottom of the sea with his vessel. He is currently in intensive care in the clinic.
Other:
Can teach Swim, Endurance, Fortitude, Rope, Sing and can give +3 to training rolls.
Character Notes:
Jio Seiko - Met on Winter 5, Year 102. Knows him as Tomoko's clansman. Thinks he's a pretty normal boy with stomach troubles and could use a bit of manners.
Tenmoki Aya - Very familiar with the girl and adores her good-will nature. Loves to teach her knew songs to sing while on the sea.

Background:
Prodo was a famous brewer in the Tea Country. Even though he made an amazing cup of tea, his skills in making beer and fine wines were far more superior. Prodo lived a quiet and humble life until his vineyards, house and servants were all killed by a band of vicious bandits. They took over his vineyards and kicked him to the street. The Tea country doesn't have a very strict justice system, so Prodo was never given what rightfully belonged to him back. Instead, he was given the chance to start a new and humble life in the village of Shimagakure. Sakuran, a weapon smith, had met Prodo on her boat ride to Shimagakure and invited him along after consulting Ichi. Everyone loved Prodo's liquor and the Kage especially loved his cup of tea.
Personality:
Prodo doesn't talk that often, but he is a sweet old man. If you ever have a problem, he is willing to listen and perhaps lend some helpful advice, but he's mostly there to listen. Even though Shimagakure can get quite dangerous, Prodo loves the village and all its people, especially the great characters that come into his bar every night. He loves his pub, eventhough it gets knocked down and rebuilt almost every year due to brawls and attacks on the village, but Prodo doesn't mind since he's always entitled to taking care of it. Prodo loves the bar so much that he has made the basement his own little home.
Skills:
Prodo is friendly, though quick to detect things that are out of order. He's also good at knowing when someone's telling a tall tale at the bar, and can mix any drink known to mankind. [Teaches Charisma, Detect, Sense, and Alchemy.]
Character Notes:
Tategami Shuga - Prodo was a very good friend of Shuga since she was always in the bar drinking.
Zeayla Natamo: Good gal that seemed to fill the void after Shuga left the island.
Kun Kumo Kazuma: Dislikes due to the fact he stole liquor from his cellar.
Yamanaka Hanabira: Dislikes due to the fact she stole liquor from his cellar.
Jio Tomoko: Dislikes due to the fact she stole liquor from his cellar.

Kumiko lived in the Fire country as quite the hussy. Since she was granted with beauty, she would use that beauty to constantly get what she wanted. Kumiko had no interest in the medical area until she was attacked by a group of men whom she had screwed over through gambling. Kumiko was brought to the hospital that Tenko worked at. Tenko is Kumiko's best friend since she cared for Kumiko and even taught her things about plants and taking care of patients. When Tenko was invited to Shimagakure by Hyuuga Nao, Kumiko automatically went along.
Personality:
Kumiko is very flirtatious and not shy at all. She likes to have power struggles with Tenmoki Yuki from time to time since Yuki is also a beautiful woman and competition for Kumiko. Once Yuki got married, Kumiko began referring to her as an old hag. Kumiko can be cruel at times, but deep down she's always wanting to help the world be a better place and she feels she can do that by helping the shinobi of Shimagakure.
Skills:
Kumiko is very good at getting attention from men. She can teach genins and chunins a thing or two about sexuality. [Seduce, Charisma, Knowledge.]
Character Notes:
Tenmoki Aya - Adores the girl for her style and gets along with her well especially since she's the boss's daughter.
Tenmoki Akiko - Just like Aya she's a pleasure to be around. She's one of the cute and shy types, but her work ethic is admirable.
Tokiha Orika - Always kind and cheerful. I'm glad the tragedy in her past has not brought her down.

Tenko was raised as a peasant and lived with her family happily. Nothing exciting has ever happened in her life. She studied medicine at a clinic that Hyuuga Nao was head of in the Fire Country. She excelled in her studies and was great with patients, but never was able to function under pressure. She met Kumiko who had become one of her patients and listened to her life story. Tenko became good friends with Kumiko and helped her become a regular nurse at the Hyuuga's clinic. When the time came for Nao to leave the Fire Country, Tenko was invited along. She was more than happy to be chosen by the doctor, so she willingly went with after the village was built. Tenko hasn't seen much of Nao since she arrived in Shimagakure, but she had began to grow a sparkling admiration towards Tenmoki Yuki. Tenko works hard every day to please Yuki and do her best to live a modest life in Shimagakure.
Personality:
Tenko is very modest and sweet. Since she wasn't graced with good looks, she's had to work hard at being kind to people in order to gain friends. Tenko is constantly fantasizing about having a family or doing strange things with other members of the clinic's staff. Tenko doesn't realize that she is a lesbian quite yet, but one day she should figure it out.
Skills:
Tenko is a very smart individual and is willing to teach students, genins and chunins anything they'd like about plants, nursing and medical technicalities. [Alchemy, Intelligence, Knowledge]

Personality:
Miki is a very relaxed guy who loves music and nature. He's the shining example of a Japanese Hippie from the Edo period. He loves everything earthly and truly believes in the healing power of the earth. He's a man that's very hard to anger and would be looking at the bright side even if his Arboretum was burnt to the ground. Miki's believes in the saying 'My house is your house,' and will lend his bed to a tired traveler while sleeping under the stars himself. He likes to laugh, drink moderately and teach children all about plants and alchemy. Miki loves children and wants to have at least ten of his own. Miki hasn't been able to find that perfect woman though. He often break into song when he's happy.
Background:
Born in the anti-social Earth Country, Miki left home at a young age and traveled about the lands learning about plants and music. He happened to stumble across a man named Tuhai while in his travels, who had been rather loose with his belt. Miki enjoyed the scene that unfolded between this flamboyant and a rather barbaric woman. He listened to Shuga's story which concerned the unattended Aboretum. Miki waited for word from Shimagakure while Shuga spoke with her leader. He was quickly picked up from Tonato and brought to the village to restore the Arboretum.
During the harsh attack on Shimagakure, Mikio kept himself hidden until the battle finally came towards his Arboretum. He managed to save a few of the escaping children. Not without casualty though. The man lost his Arboretum and suffered damage enough that would put him on bed rest in the hospital. Despite this Mikio is one of the few that can keep a positive outlook on the situation. Sometimes when passing the clinic one can hear him playing a song on his instrument.
Other:

Character Notes:
Heikou Clan - Before they were banned from the village, Zombie Dhan, Tomoko, Seiko and Zoku lived in a tree house at the Arboretum. Tomoko and Miki got only since they both loved the Haha Plant that Tomoko made into what she called doobies.
Hyuuga Kanami - A very beautiful and young girl. Although she jumped to the conclusion I was going to do something pervy to her. That's not cool at all man.

He is a rather plump fellow. He is already bald on the top and front of his head but the rest seems to be quite a spicky hair. His skin is bronze colored because of the extended exposure to the fire in his shop. He is wearing a white sleeveless shirt and a somewhat orange overall now turning kind of brownish because of the years of use and the black burnt spots. His arms look stronger than those of an ordinary man and kind of hairy too. He has a short beard black with yellow tips.. burnt hair. In the belt of his overall he has many little spots for hanging his equipment and tools while working, Different hammers and stuff. He is 6' 8" tall.
Personality:
Although he looks scary as hell and taken out of a barbaric novel He is quite cheerful. His laughs migth echoe through the walls and scare nearby animals but you know its true happines. He can be rough and yet do it to help you. He gives nothing for free for aeverything need work to be aquired yet he loves to make deals with those in need. Quite the rolemode
Background:
Not much is there to know about him Except that He comes from the Fire Country. He started of as a Shinobi, One of the first few who actually took a liking of heavy weapons. They werent exactly stealthy so most shinobi didnt use them. He on the Other hand enjoyed it. Not only that but he started creating his own weapons. One day he simply decided to earn his living doing this and so He set his shop in Shima. He still keeps His legendary War hammer in a High stand on the Back wall of the Shop
Other:
Can help shinobi learn Blacksmith, Any weapon skill, Focus, Endurance, Trap and Intimidate.
Character Notes:
Orika- Aye, she be a strong lass fo shure, but she be lacking in the patient department. While the girl has got muscles she is to eager to know everything at once. She will make a fine blacksmith one day though
Karite- The boy has got guts and determination. If he manages to survive all the trouble his mouth will get him into he will be a great shinobi someday.
Kore- This little fella has a lot of bite on him, not a cub I like as of yet unlike Baki
Kiba- The rascal is still a question mark, rather annoying though
Shisei- This punk stole from me, when I found him I will squeeze his head clean off
Kane- A fine respectful lad, he is top aces in me book
Dhan- Sharpened his blade for him, hadn't ever really seen anything quite like the ancient demonic blade, but still worked on it the best he could.

Background:
Udo found his way to Shimagakure courtesy of Tenmoki Koro himself. The daimyo had suggested the island as a change of pace from the ruckus of Tonato. Taking his advice and requesting permission to go to the island, he found that indeed, Shimagakure was just what he needed. Setting up his shop, Udo Udon, he makes his living cooking the tasty noodley goodness and selling it to the villagers and shinobi of Shimagakure.
Personality:
Serious but thoughtful, Udo enjoys riddles and mind games. He is quick to figure things out, and often challenges customers to complete a game of Sudoku for a free serving of Udon.

Brassa has an odd way of speaking, but is an all around fair kid. He's older than he appears, but then, most people who have freckles have that same 'issue'. He is easy to get along with, and often helps the small band of children that usually occupy the playground. Between him and Sevvi, a lot of arguments are done, but Brassa is a fair kid and knows that sometimes asking for helping isn't denoting weakness; it's showing the strength to accept you can't do things alone.

Physical Description: Despite having more than a dozen years of battle behind her, Himoto still looks a decade younger than she is. The woman stands at 5’5 with a tender figure of B32 W22 H33. She weighs 121 lbs. Her skin is the same milky color like all Hyuuga, but does not retain the same softness like other Hyuuga women. This is due to some of her years in confinement as well as some injuries obtained in battles. Despite the woman’s skin being more firm than the average clansman she does not show very defined muscles in her body like the rest of the clan. Her night blue hair is cut short and moves wildly about her head with many bangs hanging over her forehead. Even when using the Byakugan the veins in her eyes are not as noticeable as other members of the clan. This has made other members of the clan look down upon her. She has a small scar between her shoulder blades due to a sneak attack years previous.
Clothing: Himoto keeps a style that is useful for her occupation. When the woman was but a girl she was more into trendy designs and brighter colors. That has changed. The woman now wears blue clothing that is comparable in shade to her hair. Her pants are baggy and loose fitting, stopping at the top of her shins. At the ends of the pants are even darker blue bands. Both feet are in sandals with a red string tied around the ankle areas.
Her shirt covers the feminine body below down to the thighs. It is buttoned from the right side rather than in front making the shirt as it is almost ripped at the side. The sleeves are billowy and long, traveling down to the woman’s knuckles. Both palms are covered with fingerless gloves that travel up to her elbow. The ends of the sleeves and shirt also have tan bands embroidering it. She keeps a beige hat upon her head and scarf of the same color around her neck. Both articles have a dark blue band at their ends. Himoto keeps a kodachi in its sheath horizontally tied to her lower back. She also has a large ruby on a chain around her neck. The ruby’s luminous properties sometimes reflect off of Himoto’s eyes and makes her pupils appear red at times.
Personality: Himoto is all business. She is stern, strict and austere like an old nun. The branch member is a fanatical practitioner of the rules and will not break them. Playing it as close to the book as possible is where her mind is and very rarely strays from there. Her rank as a branch member keeps the woman constantly on her toes and wanting to impress her superiors in the trunk section of the clan. Over the years this desire combined with mistakes being blamed on her heritage has given Himoto and inferiority complex. She despises being part of the branch family and yearns to be part of the trunk division.
The kunoichi has a lot of book knowledge, but fails when it comes to quick thinking and instinctual maneuvers during battle. This lack of ability has made facing enemies difficult, but her tactile mind has always been able to pull through in tough messes. The knowledge she’s picked up through studying and experience has made the woman always pre-plan before a known engagement. Himoto will do what is needed to make sure she comes out as victor. This makes her calculating during battle, always trying to find the safest and secure plan for victory.
Her cold demeanor and intelligent mind has made her a prime person for teaching the younger generation of Hyuuga. Many of her occupations revolve around this subject and being a hunter ninja. The leader of the clan found Himoto most effective in dealing with Kanami and her wanton ways. Because of a past love, Himoto isn’t too sympathetic to relationships. This combined with her inferiority complex makes the woman put a wall up between her and everyone else. For the kunoichi no one is to ever get so close to her feelings again. Despite this the wintry personality has allowed the branch member to keep her calm under the most stressful of conditions. Even at the times when she is unsure of what to do.
Background: When Himoto was a teen she behaved like any other girl of the Hyuuga clan. She did her training, respected religious days, was obedient and respectful. On top of this Himoto always brought an upbeat attitude into everything and anything she did. Her outlook always had positive effects to those around her giving the girl many friends in both the Branch and Trunk families.
At the age of fourteen the young Hyuuga fell in love with a boy outside of the clan. Himotos’ friends of the Trunk family found something wrong with this relationship while her friends of the Branch cheered her on. The teen followed her heart and continued on with the relationship. As time passed the bright girl began to change her appearance to impress her love and skip responsibilities to spend time with him. Things remained well for a year when the boy was curious to see some of the hidden scrolls of the Trunk. Out of love, Himoto managed to retrieve a few of the scrolls for him. As soon as the girl turned away for a second a knife went into her back.
Her crush had been a spy all along wanting to gain his hands on the scrolls. For a year he kept up his persona to gain trust and thus get the scrolls. Fortunately the Hyuuga was able to stop and kill him bfore any information could fall into malicious hands. Unfortunately Himoto would not be exempt from the incident. Even though the young girl and her friends from the Branch family saw nothing wrong with the relationship, there were things that were apparent to the Trunk side. The crime was one of the highest classes of offense and despite her young age, Himoto was sentenced to imprisonment for three years. This event would spur a small rift between the Trunk and Branch families for a few years based on the different ways of teaching the children of the different families and trust.
Deception, shame and punishment would be Himoto’s harsh teachers in life. Throughout the trial and her time incarcerated the teen had begun to see the world differently. For once she finally made a distinction between the Branch and Trunk members. The elders blaming it on her heritage to the lower clan spurred her bitterness towards the Branches. She did not desire to be part of the lower branch an only wanted to be accepted into the trunk. At age of eighteen when her prison sentence was over the now woman immediately joined a special unit of the Hyuuga, the Undertaker Division. It was a special unit used to track and kill missing clansmen. The unit was expected to eradicate the body at the location and return with the eyes of person as proof of their success. Hunting down strays who abandoned the clan was perfect for Himoto. Each mission was executed without remorse, but deep down this was the woman’s personal battle to somehow become a member of the Trunk.
Because traitorous members were very rare, the woman was also placed as a special jounin to teach the children of the clan. Her skills in some areas were still average or mediocre so she could not reach jounin at this point in time. Much to her dismay Himoto was still only seen as an average Branch member. The woman continued to work obediently for the clan. At the age of the thirty her new mission was to keep a watchful eye over the heiress to the clan, Hyuuga Kanami. Seeing this as a sign to put her in great graces with the Trunk and hopefully to get into that part of the clan Himoto took the job. While important the woman did not realize that this was meant to keep her out of the way of certain affairs.
She and Kanami stayed peacefully in Shimagakure till the event of Black Spring. Once that happened the Hyuuga woman finds her world flipped around as she was appointed by the Hyuuga superiors to take over as leader of Shimagakure. While a very high honor, Himoto wanted to stay with the Trunk. This only further pushed her away from the family. The kunoichi began to believe they were doing this as a means to keep her away from the clan. Her suspicions were confirmed as there were no shinobi sent to aid her with shinobi village. She was alone in its restoration. A job Himoto took obediently.
Other: Himoto means ‘origin of a fire’. She has earned the nicknames ‘Embalmer Himoto’ and ‘Corpse Dealer Himoto’. Despite her bitterness towards the Branch families she treats them with the same respect as Trunk members. She has a nose that can pick up many smells and has an above average knowledge of alchemy. She dislikes the taste of fish.
Character Notes:
Hyuuga Kanami - She's a rarity in the world to be blessed with beauty, brains and the bravery to use it. She's also humble in her own weird way. Now if she could only lose that wanton and lewd attitude towards the opposite sex. Well I'll make sure she loses it...
