I'm new to the guild but not to gaia. You can get gold from posting in threads and such. Also if you want use tektek.org to make a banner of the item you want and then post it in your signature.
Don't beg though, people will be mean.

Welcome, my suggestion is that you do surveys for free Gaia cash. Its in the shop drop-bar under earn gaia cash. Use it to buy items in the cash shop and sell it.
