Kaikara hadn't explored this part of the town just yet. It was all new to her--that and there were a ton of humans, so she wasn't all that excited to be here anyway.

She had grown quite a bit--adult, strayed away from her previous looks when she was a kitten. Her hair was short and jagged, reaching to her jaw and up. Though it was somewhat unkempt and messy, the red streaks through the black made her eyes stand out through the dark locks. Kaikara didn't even attempt to hide the scar that went from the top of her left eye up into her hairline, leaving speckles and streaks of white through the dark hair as well. Why bother hiding what she was proud of? It had been her escape, her freedom.

Sighing, the hybrid made her way through the streets, swerving out of the two-legged's way and growling when a young one got too close. To other cats, her attire merely consisted of bandages over her chest and some simple black shorts, the sun and moon on her hips showing clearly compared to her somewhat fair skin.

As to what had brought her down here, god only knew. Something in her gut had made her come this way, and now she was regretting it...it was busy, noisy, smelly...she didn't like it.

Kaikara's large tail flicked about behind her, while her light ears pinned back against the contrasting black hair. Sigh. Okay, time to head out of here and find some food.

[Reference to her growth Just look there if my details were confusing. :3]

Persy had come into town, as she did from time to time, to get away from the mansion. Since her rape, which had been quite a while ago now, Kieran had been very protective of her, not allowing her to be on her own when she went out. But it had finally been enough time it would seem. Of course Kieran was still protective of the red haired female, but for other reasons. It was very obvious from her figure that the normally very thin cat was pregnant. Her stomach was swollen slightly but the top she wore with it almost exaggerated it. She walked around, her long red hair blowing in the wind as she walked. The weather had turned, making it much colder then it had been in previous months but the female didn't mind. She enjoyed the cold weather, her thick coat protecting her quite well. She walked happily along the busy street, humans moving out of the rather large cats way as she walked.

The cat walked along, her mind elsewhere. She was happy to be pregnant again and happier still that Kieran was excited about it too. Ever since their fight she had been worried that they wouldn't ever get back to where they were in their relationship. It seemed more open now though, better, stronger and she couldn't help but feel that the new kittens would old deepen that bond between them. They were older now. More prepare. But then Persy got a sinking feeling that she always got when she thought of this sort of thing. Her first family was a horrible failure as it were. The female didn't go a day without thinking about it. How her kittens had left her and how there was one they never found. It was her...the kitten that was never found that haunted her at night, keeping her up. She wished every day that she would be alive still. She walked along, her heart heavy as her old nightmare returned.

Kaikara spotted the other feline from just a few yards away--it didn't seem all that busy in the feline world around here, so she was surprised to see the female.

Obviously pregnant, the younger cat frowned a bit, wondering why she was out in such cold weather. Good coat or not, it still seemed like a stupid idea...and without protection. Tch. Did she want to lose the kittens?

In Kaikara's world, humans were out to get them at any corner, nook and cranny. She hated humans, and that would never change...so seeing the pregnant female out here, where humans could hurt her, kill her children...

Something hit home. Her stomach churned, and she crossed her arms over her bare stomach in discomfort. Why did this female seem so familiar to her..? She reminded her of Morph. Without even thinking, she ceased her steps and just...stared, her long fur bristling from the discomfort and distress. Ears folding back, she huffed a bit...no way, couldn't be. What was she thinking?

Persy didn't trust humans, since they had taken her first litter away all that time ago but before that she had actually quite liked them. Her humans had been kind to her so being on her own around humans didn't scare her at all. She shivered ever so slightly, pulling the jacket she wore around her shoulders closer. It wouldn't fit around her stomach anymore. She sighed and descided to sit down, tired out from walking all the way to this little market.

She sat down on the corner, desciding to do some people watching or cat watching until she felt rested enough again to go back to hunting for food. The female wasn't due for another while yet but she was tired out from worrying about what her new family would be like and how she would be able to keep them together this time. She wasn't letting this happen to her family again. But she blamed herself for all of this. It was all her fault. If she had tried harder, kept searching then maybe...she shook her head, trying to get these thoughts out of her mind.

She watched out amungst the crowd, seeing a young cat staring at her. She cocked her head to the side, almost squinting as she looked. The young cat looked familiar desipite her rough appareance. It was her jaw structure, the red streaks...but it was her eyes that she had to fixate on. Her eyes were nostalgic...it couldn't be...could it?

Oh geez, that cat just looked right back at her...

She bristled slightly, frowned, and tore her gaze away from the all-too familiar woman. Why was she so damned familiar?

Frustrated, she growled, and stepped towards one of the human benches and jumped up onto it, ears low and back hunched over. Now she just didn't want to leave...obviously the female had seen her staring as well, so now she just felt stupid.

Kaikara growled to herself once more, frustration flooding over her while her tail flicked. The woman's eyes kept glancing back to the strange female, fleeting away every now and again before looking right back. Huffing, Kai shook her head and slid right back off of the bench, her blunt side kicking in.

Stepping up to the strange pregnant female, she crossed her arms over her chest and scowled, "Who are you?" Keeping her distance, as well as keeping her ears back, her eyes narrowed and she waited. Probably just some kind of coincidence that Morph and her looked similar.

Persy looked straight at the young female, her mind going a mile a minute. She looked older then Nyx looked, but then again Nyx wasn't a great comparison when it come to females. She was still small and skinny unlike this young cat. It was her eyes that pulled at Persy's heart. They were perfect, etched into her mind for years and years for the constant search she was on.

Persy looked down, placing a hand on her stomach. She certianly didn't want to make the cat more uncomfortable than she already seemed to be but she couldn't help but look up again, she didn't know what to do. She could freak out and anger this cat quite a lot and Persy was in no state for fighting but Persy didn't want to lose this chance. It had been a constant 'what if' for so long it was too good to miss.

The red haired female was shocked when she saw the other cat get up and walk over to her. She was a bit more wary now, realising that she wouldn't be able to protect herself very well. She would just have to hope that the slightly rough looking female just wanted to talk. She looked at her, watching the female carefully, her eyes not fully being able to pull away from her eyes. "I'm Persephone...but everyone just calls me Persy. Who might you be?" she asked, her heart beating a mile a minute as she spoke.

Kai was never good with other cats. It was a curse, but she figured it was because she never had real 'practice' when it came to spending time with other cats in the first place. Just disgusting humans.

"Dont look so nervous," she muttered, motioning to the woman's stomach, "...bad for the babies," since when did she care? Something deep inside her made her want to worry, to have something to worry about...but as to why this was, she wasn't sure.

"Persy.." Sounded familiar. That's when her ears folded back and she tipped her head down, dropping her tough exterior for just a moment. "...You know Morph?" It was painfully familiar, she knew that Morph had brought up the name, or something of the like. And she had a feeling that she knew who this woman was.

"My name is Kaikara."

Persy smiled, grateful for this small bit of worry the young cat was showing towards her. "Sorry. I had a...very bad incident involving a cat a while ago. I havn't quite gotten fully over it yet I'm afraid." she said with a small smile.

Her heart did a somersault as the young cat asked her about Morph. The hope that Persy had been keeping deep within her heart for so many years was coming to the surface in waves. She was trying to keep it in. She didn't want to let it out for fear that it was all for nothing. She knew her heart probably wouldn't be able to take it if she wasn't who she thought she was.

And then there was the wave of worry. If this was her baby...what if what happened with Ishtar happened all over again? What if she didn't want to ever know her. Persy tried to swallow this worry too and nodded. "Yes I know Morpheus. He's my son." Persy explained to Kaikara, her eyes studying the other cats, her heart racing.

"Your...son," she clarified this in her mind, her ears pinning back and her body going rigid.

So this was the woman, huh? She didn't know whether to be angry or go into hysterics. Instantly her eyes glazed over, but she was too stubborn to cry. Too stubborn..right? She wanted to think that, at least.

"So you're my mom," Kaikara said stiffly, her voice quivering as she spoke, her hand coming up to motion at the other woman, "Because..Morph..said he's my brother.." She said just as shakily as before, her first few tears sliding down her cheeks. She might be too stubborn, but her body was going through too much for her to not cry--would Persy want to even talk to her? See her?

The hybrid didn't know what had happened--she had felt abandoned this entire time, and when Morph said that they had looked for her and never found her...she didn't know whether to believe it or not. It was hard to...but at the same time, she wanted to believe him..believe Persy, if she had the same story.

Persy first nodded slowly, her heart beating faster as Kaikara repeated of Morphs relationship to her. She would wait to see the females reaction first but the more Persy had had a chance to look at her the more she could see. The girls colouring was the same as her own, even if it was more cream then her own she had very distincitve spots, just like Persys.

Persy's heart almost stopped beating when the girl spoke. She stared for a second, her eyes starting to well up. "...after all these years of searching..." she muttered quietly, silent tears falling on her lap as she spoke. This was too good to be true. Persy had always pleeded with the gods that her daughter would be alive even if she could never know, even if she couldn't ever seen her again. Having her standing infront of her was...was just amazing. It was beyond anything Persy would have ever asked for. "We...we never stopped looking for you...Kaikara...never." she said quietly. The female was unsure how to act. She was her daughter, Persy was sure of that. But she was no longer a child and what made Persy the most upset was that she didn't know the girl, her daughter.

She looked up at the girl with a small smile, tears still running down her face. "I thought it was you...it's your eyes. But...I've seen you in cats and kittens before...trying desperatly to find you. We looked everywhere. We have been looking everyday for you...I know it sounds absurd or like a lie but it's true. We never knew what had happened to you...and we didn't want to stop looking until we found out. We had been told to stop looking before, that it was useless, that the humans had tamed you or worse...killed you...but I had to know for myself and so...I never stopped looking for you..." Persy explained to the young cat infront of her, tears flowing faster as she spoke but still being able to speak perfectly.

Kaikara swallowed thickly when the woman began to cry--she didn't take crying well, especially when the one crying was her mother...relationship or not, she was still her mom, no matter what...

But her next rambling words were what hit the hybrid hard. They had looked for her? Why hadn't they found her? Her chest tightened and a lump formed in her throat, but she wouldn't allow herself to cry...she couldn't. Biting the inside of her cheek, he looked down, watching the few tears that escaped the woman's lap hit the ground below instead.

Morph had been right, though. They were still looking for her, still wanting to see her and meet her...but who would have guessed that she would have met her mother like this. Kai didn't know what to do, what to say..she wanted to argue and say that her family left her for dead with those horrible humans, but how could she prove that, or even say it to the pregnant woman sitting in front of her? Her lips quivered when she tried to speak, but instead she moved forward to slide down to her knees and wrap her arms around her mother's torso and sobbed into her chest. Kaikara wasn't one to show weakness, to freak out like this, but her body told here there was no other way to even show or speak how happy she was--happy. For once.

Of course, she was mindful of the pregnant belly as she continued to cry into Persy's collar, unsure if this was even okay...but she figured the woman would let her know if it wasn't.

Persy whipped her eyes with her hand carefully, attempting to stop herself from crying. The last thing she wanted to do was to scare off or make her long lost daughter uncomfortable.

Persy wrapped her arms around her daughter carefully but warmly. She couldn't help but her the girl starting to cry again aswell. It had been so long and she has missed her so much. She could hardly believe that this was possible, that this was actually happening. It had been a dream, a mere fantasy for the cat for so many years. "I...we never stopped searching for you. And I've never stopped thinking about you my darling. Every day since you disappeared I've never, ever stopping thinking and worrying about you." she said softly, rubbing the girls hair in a comforting way as she spoke. She wasn't really sure if this was okay. After all the hadn't know Kaikara in years. It was almost like they were stangers.

But Persy could feel it with every movement she made and with every word she spoke that it was her little girl, no matter how much she had grow, no matter how different she looked. All Persy could do was to hug her and to speak from her heart. She wasn't sure what else she could do other than this to convince her of the truth...that she had searched her out in every cat she met or saw every day, that she never stopped searching. She hugged the young cat tightly. "I missed you every day. Every single day."

The tightened hug comforted her slightly, but Kaikara couldn't help but question herself. Why, why was she doing this? What if she was digging another hole for herself, to hurt herself again? She'd already done it twice, but this hole was so much deeper and could rip her heart into pieces if she was incorrect about her assumptions..but this Persy just seemed so...so honest to her, warm to the touch, and comforting in every aspect so far.

She had to be her mother, Kai didn't know what she would do if she wasn't.

"R-really?" They had kept looking for her? Why hadn't they found her..? Was she that hard to find? The humans had kept a tight leash on her, so to speak, and made sure she could barely get access to the windows...so she could understand that they hadn't been able to find her, but...

"Yo-you're pregnant," again. Was this her second litter? Were these her siblings? Way to be obvious though, Kai. Make comments like that when she'd just met her. Pulling herself back slightly to look at the pregnant belly, she used the heels of her palms to wipe at her tears, which were still relentlessly falling. "S-so, where's...dad?" It felt weird to use these pet names. Mom, dad, sister, brother...she'd never used them before.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 31, 2009 8:14 am

Persy held her for a long as she could. After all this was her baby whom she had been spending years and years looking for. She couldn't help but feel that if she let go Kaikara would just disappear and it will have all been a dream, that this would have actually never happened and she would still be missing and Persy would still be spending her waking moments worrying and her sleeping moments dreaming of her daughter.

Persy let go, smiling towards Kaikara, teary eyed. "Believe me, I would never lie about something like this. I could never lie about it. I promise that every day I've looked for you, that we've looked for you." she said softly, staring into her eyes which were so similar to her own but were equally Kierans eyes. "...after all these years. I can't believe we found each other." she whispered.

Persy blushed slightly but nodded all the same. "Indeed I am. This is my second litter though." she said with a smile. "So currently there are the five of you and then there will be however many there will be in here." she said, a soft smile playing across her face. There were five again. Even if one never wanted to speak to here there were five in existance. "He's currently helping his brother run the territory. He does that from time to time when Aiden needs a hand around the place." Persy said brightly.
