Demo: Augustus was not in the mood for games. Not that he ever was, right now he was simply in an exceptionally foul mood. Months they had been searching for their missing family, and he was nearly certain that his brother was losing hope. Even if he thought for a moment that they weren't going to make it, he shoved it to the back of his mind.
"Where has he wandered off to now..." Somewhere that would lead to trouble no doubt. It was always trouble with Caius, but he was still a valuable member of the pride. And his brother, and if there was one thing their father had taught them, it was the value of family. If there was one thing there mother had taught them... it was how to stab them in the back.
Chobi: Caius had been out in the desert with a certian lioness. An extra pop in his step was clear as he made his way across the plains. He hadn't , entirely, meant to leave his brother high and dry. This search was just so silly to the gladiator. The leopard was starting to get over his home sickness and get into the scene that was the rogue lands. For one, free love.
So onward he went not really taking any time to sniff the air or conceal him self from others. Maybe it was a tad cocky on his part but he didn't care. Thought he was sure his brother would care and punish him if he knew what he had been up to.
Honestly though, Caius didn't mind Augustus's protective strict behavior. It reminded him of home and mother. He missed Atia very much.
Demo: "There you are." Augustus muttered when his eyes finally caught the horizen and he saw his brother. Though he was about as cocky, and ten times as nasty, as his brother, the rogue lands had left him entirely distasteful. The people were crude, full of... wanton needs and pathetic desires. Not like the strong stoics of the Binadamu.
"Caius." He said, nodding his head towards the only family he was positive was still alive. "Come on, I think I've found a new direction for us to check in and..." He could practically smell the lioness on his brother. So Caius had been sleeping around. No surprise there.
"...you smell awful." He wrinkled his nose in annoyance.
Chobi: Caius grinned a cheshire like grin, "I have been out in the desert," which was completely true. But the little grin told that there was a lot more to the story. As did the stench of the two lionesses he ha spent time with. To be fair, he only slept with one.
"You found another lead?" His sauve mask disolved in an instance showing the proud Binadamu stern face he usually wore around the pride. "What type this time.. whats the source?" Honestly, he was half hoping that it wasnt a faulse lead. He really missed his comraids.

Demo: "Some birds mentioned a large progression of leopards and lions a few months back." Augustus said, "I had to pin them down and make some threats..." A smile curled around his mouth, one that reflected his mother's tendancies towards the sadistic. "But it seems that they may have gone north. We've been going too far east. Last faulty tip took us... off course."
He turned and started walking, excpecting his brother to follow, "Do try not to sleep with anyone else though. If mother smells it on you when we find her, she'll accuse you of ruining your noble bloodline." And from Augustus' tone, it was clear that he felt something similar.
Chobi: Caius couldn't help but laugh, " I know brother I know. That is if we can find mother... Might be up to us to repopulate the pride," He said the last line in a cocky kind of childish way.
"Birds some times are scatter brains... They think all of us feline types look the same. For all we know it could have been several cheetahs and those screwed up nutters wouldn't know the difference.." Caius was tired of getting these faulty hits. The birds had been the least helpful of all. Caius had come up with his own theories why birds were so unreliable. He didn't like them at all now after months of dead ends.

Demo: Augustus's hair stood on end, "To even suggest that is detestable. Who do you think you are, Caesar? Besides which, with lionesses, it hardly matters whether or not you ******** them, their children will be worthless." He told him, his voice furious and cold. He hated it when his brother talked like that. "I won't be sinking to that kind of level any time soon, I assure you."
"Any lead is better than no lead. And I was sure to interrogate the bird very throughly." A missing wing would do nicely for such things. He had come to understand why they always tortured slaves to insure a truthful condession. They were more honest that way. "I'm very, very sure this is a solid lead this time. They saw a lion that looked like Caesar and an old leopardess... she was wearing a zebra shawl. They tried to make a trade for it."
Chobi: Caius didn't roll his eyes because he knew his brother would only get annoyed. He did, however, sigh. He sighed long and hard. This was nothing new where the birds came up with a lead that sounded like it could pass for the real deal.
"Alright alright, we'll check it out.." His tail lashed a little, "But if this is another wrong lead... Im gonna go on a birdie killing spree," A sadistic smile curled on Caius's maw. He was only half joking.

Demo: Augustus smirked in return, "I think I'd choose to join you on that adventure in particular." He said, cracking his neck, "Come on, we have a lot of walking to do... and hopefully we won't run into any of your little sex-friends while we're at it." He couldn't think of a kinder way of saying it. He didn't want to either.
His mother had always had a way of making the cruelest things sound perfectly normal. He envied that in her. It was something that he hoped he would be able to complete for himself some day. He had no doubt about that actually. He would be everything she wanted him to be and more.
Chobi: Caius was used to this from his mother and brother but it always made him cringe. The boy was a product of his father more then that of his mother. A great gladiator but very unfocused. Atia hadn't been as strict with her first litter and Caius got away with murder, so to speak.
"Walking... right," The leopard wasn't happy. He was looking forward to a nice afternoon nap after spending a good long day with a lioness. Now that was ruined with this new lead. If he complained about walking he knew his brother would get annoyed. He didnt want to get Augustus annoyed by any means.
"So, you really think the bird wasnt a bluffin?"

Demo: Augustus growled at his brother, not appreciating his tone, "Would I take it seriously if I didn't? We can't all be as pathetic as you Caius. We don't all give up when life gets tough." He couldn't believe his brother sometimes. How could they have come from the same womb?
Slowly he turned to look at him, "Have you give up? I could leave you to rot." He didn't mean it, but the threat was real. Of course, leaving Caius to rot would mean killing him.... something Augustus did not want to do.
Chobi: Caius wiggled his nose. He knew his brother really meant it and he knew he liked to be alive.
"Yeah yeah yeah," The leopard muttered feeling his head drop some. "Well lets go then. I'm not completely out of this fight yet. " Hopefully the bird wasn't another wise a** giving them yet another wrong lead. Part of him really wanted to believe that his parents and siblings and pride still survived but most of him really had given up hope.

Demo: "You're pathetic, you know that?" Augustus sighed, "We will find them again. I know we will...killing our mother is a feat only the Gods could accomplish." Though he hope their siblings were still alive.
"You have to prove you're stronger than this Caius. We could be the last of our pride, and if so, we must be prepared to bear that burden. We cannot let the Binadamu die."
Chobi: The male snorted, "I don't doubt Atia is alive. I'm sure she'd kick any god's a** who tried to take her down." The leopard smiled at that thought. He could only hop it was true. Atia was a scary woman and he'd hate to be the god who came to collect her when her time finally did run out.
"Your right brother. I've grown lax being out here..." He lowered his head more showing his submission to his brother. Anyone who knew Augustus would know you were dumb to try to prove him wrong or get in his way. That was how one ended up dead. Caius knew this and Caius admired his brother for his strength.
"Your more then right..." Still the shadow of doubt glinted in his liliac eyes.

Demo: "Good. Then enough dabbling in lionesses for fun. We're moving on, and we're finding our mother." Augustus said, his yellow eyes flashing back at his brother. "We're finding our Pride, and if we don't find it, we will be as Romulus and Remus and found the city once again."
He smirked back at his brother, "Except I'll be sure not to use you as a sacrifice. You're far too useful alive, when you chose to be, instead of lazing about."
Chobi: Caius smiled back at his brother. The smile ment a lot and lifted his spirits some. The leopard didn't want to lie to his brother so he kept his mouth shut tight about the lioness matters. He had feelings for Azu and wanted to see her again and bring her back with him. Atia and Augustus combined would probably not be pleased.
His heart sank some.
"Thanks Augustus," He knew his brother meant the compliment. Augustus rarely said anything nice unless he meant it. "I'll.. toughen up."

Demo: "Good. I'll beat you into shape if you don't." Augustus promised, and that was a very genuine promise. He tended to be brutally honest in that respect anyway, "Come on then, let's go."
