It was sunny out, but Uzuri could tell that the seasons were changing. There was never much of a change; it was always hot, always sunny. The wet season was the only exception. But the season was pretty unimportant right now. With one of her clan leaders coming back to the lands beaten and pregnant, Uzuri's mind was preoccupied with other things.
She sat on a hill that overlooked the main area of the lands. Her eyes were staring, but they weren't really looking at anything. With such a new pack, her mind was churning about things like if they were going to have enough members to fill in important positions, to keep them safe, and to gather food. Then the social issues wore heavily on her, but she knew that she'd have to get through it.

Adejola was wagging his tail, as normal, as he skipped up to Uzuri and nuzzled against her side. "What're you thinking about?" He yipped as he snuggled against her. "Everything okay? The wilddog hated when something was bothering his beloved Uzuri. Then again, with such a new pack, Uzuri probably had important things to worry about. It made Ade want to be useful. "Anything I can do?"

"Hm?" Uzuri turned her head suddenly, snapping out of her deep thought. "Ade...." She smiled, always loving how happy he was all of the time. It always made her smile, no matter what. "I was just thinking about....this." Her gaze returned to the lands in front of her, seeing members roam about. "There's just so much to deal with." She laughed, but it didn't hide her nervous tone. "I'm afraid that our leadership of two might not be enough. But look at us-" She lifted her paw, moving it towards the vast savannah. "we're such a small pack, we just don't have the numbers right now." She shook her head; she didn't want to have to talk about issues dealing with the politics or issues of the pack, especially not with Ade. She didn't want to bring him down with the heavy issues of the pack.
"I'm just ready for a member boom." She let out a giggle. She knew that many females were expecting, or wanted families. She herself wanted a family.

He laughed, blushing lightly under his fur as he playfully pounced her and knocked her over. "A member boom, eh? We could do it." Ade giggled as he nuzzled her stomach. He licked her nuzzle before flopping down next to her. "As for leadership and numbers and all... I wouldn't worry too much. Our numbers are quickly growing and you've said something about maybe having a council at least once, haven't you? Maybe find some people who would be good for it. A council would certaintly add to the number of leaders." He said, his voice care free before he began to lovingly clean her ear.

"Mm, Xx'ami and I have been discussing that." She nodded her head, her eyes solemn looking. She was trying to keep the pressing thoughts of a family between her and Ade aside as she thought about such serious things. Her face held a blush on it, the only remnant of her flustered thoughts. "I just don't think there are enough to do a full council. I mean, we don't have a single member on the council." She shifted her gaze to Ade, staring him right in the eyes. "And I don't want to force anyone into it..." The other issue was that the only free adults were all siblings, and Uzuri wouldn't be able to accept a council purely made of siblings. She loved them to pieces, but the thought of a biased council scared her, and she didn't want this pack to fall apart to bickering leadership.
"It's all just a lot of circling thoughts, I'm afraid." Her maw was clenched, her nerves working on her.

He hated seeing Uzuri upset. Despised it. "W-well... uh... I could be on it." He suggested, wagging his tail happily. "That'd make it kind of easier, right? I can help out!" Ade snuggled against the female, wagging his tail happily. "Then you wouldn't be so stressed. Right?"

"Would you?" Uzuri's mouth was partially open, her mind racing thinking about how everything would go with him on the council. She had to admit, the positives far outweighed the negatives. Really really by far.
"That sounds amazing....." She tilted her head down, staring at her paws, still thinking. "I think you'd be great!" Her head jerked up, smiling broadly. She really did want to have someone comfortable that she could easily talk to about things on the council. It would not only allow for easier communication, but she wouldn't feel so stressed if he was on the council. "I trust you, Ade."

The wilddog wagged his tail super quickly and nuzzled against Uzuri. That was an even better reaction then he'd expected. "Of course I would! If it'd make it easier for you and the rest of the pack, then sure! I would love to be able to help." He licked her check before suddenly nuzzling her stomach again. "So... About that member boost..." He laughed, nipping lightly at her ear.

"A-Ade!" She giggled, her face feeling hot. Insanely hot. She knew what he was getting at, for sure she did. It was a little awkward for her to talk about, but she had to gain courage, for him. For them. "I-I....maybe we should......start making room in our special place?" Her eyes flicked to the side, towards the ground. There would be so many preparations she would want to make, so many worries....but they were all worth it.
"Only if y-you want to...." She nuzzled his neck, closing her eyes, her stomach filled with butterflies.

Ade was blushing just as hard as Uzuri was, but he was determined to over come it. He jumped to his feet and started toward their special clearing. "Come on, 'Zuri! Bet I can beat you there!" The wilddog cried before he took off at full speed, his tail wagging behind him. The thought of a family was a new one, but the wonder of it all outweighed the awkward parts by a ten-fold. "I'm gonna win!"
