My cousin recently got an SKS. I think he said it was Czech or something. Anyway it's a really beautiful rifle. xd I want to shoot it so bad. I know he wouldn't have a problem letting me shoot it, but he's usually pretty busy and he lives several hours away from here so I can't just walk over there and go shooting.

Sorry guys no pics.

I never heard of a Czech SKS.
Closest they came was the Cz. 52. So either it's not an SKS or it's not Czech.

Even more win.

Also, common mistake, Vz 52.
I'm sure you just mispelled it.

But yeah, the Vz's were originally x45 but when the Commies pressured them they switched to x39.
They lost accuracy, a bit of firepowah and some of the reliability.
But nothing that should be a problem in private use.

...s**t. My eyes skipped over the "commonly incorrectly called" part, saw "Cz. 52", and thought, "Oh, Česká Zbrojovka. Yeah, that makes sense."

Most likely it isn't Czech. I can't really remember what exactly he said because I had a couple dozen different things on my mind. All I do remember him saying is that it was an SKS and that it was 7.62x39
