Enough said.

Added TLDR;

The Brady ******** heads are already trying to turn Fort Hood into a 'ban this gun' 'ban gun ownership' deal.

(FN 5.7 because they test fired one they bought from a shop and obtained SS190 ammunition from Military or LE sources and punched a hole through a vest)

One law enforcement expert referred to the Five-Seven as "an assault rifle that fits in your pocket."

When first launched for civilian sales, company officials wrote on the company website that “enemy personnel, even wearing body armor can be effectively engaged up to 200 meters. Kevlar® helmets and vests as well as the CRISAT protection will be penetrated.” That language has since been removed by FN Herstal.

BUT THE COP-KILLER PISTOL CAN'T BE A COP-KILLER PISTOL BECAUSE THE COP-KILLER PISTOL DOESN'T FIRE THE COP-KILLER HOLLOW-POINT BULLETS!!!!

You know, if they'd actually DONE SOME RESEARCH, they'd know he can't get the armor-piercing 5.7mm rounds. Only police and military agencies can get them, and last time I checked, the Marines don't use anything chambered for that round.

On the way back from White Castle I was listening to KTalk, 100.3 I think?

Anyway, at the 11:00 mark they played a news update.

Said how the Major purchased the guns legally off base from 'Guns Galore' and about how it is able to penetrate body armor and the 'assault rifle in your pocket' and the '200 meters' thing.

If I knew the number I would have called in to help drop ONE of the BS 'facts' floating around.

Even Rage does not quite convey the feelings inside. I must find something more powerful.... if such a thing exists.....

It wouldn't even have mattered; to my knowledge, nobody was wearing armor, except from the SWAT guys.

Seriously, the only time you find soldiers in body armor on a base that is not on the enemy's doorstep, is when they are in live fire training exercises.

I know, I was at USMC Air Station Miramar, the Marines on guard duty had vests that could carry water, and in an emergency, they could strap ammo pouches on the webbing, but there was no way to have armor. I call them "Tactical Camelbacks"

I remember seeing a video of a guy getting hits with a Five-seveN at 100+ yards, it was a few years ago when I saw it though, so I don't have a link.

It should be common sense that people on military bases don't walk around in armored vests all the time.

Then again it should also be common sense to know it's very difficult if not impossible to hit a target at 200 yards with a handgun let alone punch a hole in its armor.
