Name: Montecristo
Nicknames: Monty (he REALLY doesn't care for this nickname, kthx), Cristo
Gender: Male
Age: Physically, he looks to be in his late teens, possibly right around 20. Actual age unknown.
Attached to: Emily
Breed: Savannah Cat (more than the wild markings, I was loving the leggy look on the breed! biggrin more pics!)
Favorite Food: New England style clam chowder, served piping hot.
Least Favorite Food: Creamed Spinach (I don't care how many times they tell you it's good for you, it looks DISGUSTING.)
Likes: Warmth, being spoiled (when he's in the mood for it, obviously--if there's things to be done, who has the time?), Emily and Mindy (not that he'd admit to that, most of the time--but the pair of them can be convinced, sometimes, to be directed towards acting on behalf of the greater good, and Emily is really efficient!)
Dislikes: Cold (even worse is being WET and cold), being ignored, being inconvenienced by others (never mind that he has no hesitation about BEING an inconvenience to others).

Temperament:

Curious, often capricious, and with a distinct preference of getting his own way, Montecristo can be cutting, sarcastic and vindictive when crossed. However, he's also got a healthy sense of play, and he's fiercely protective of his senshi--not that that means he's overly nice/accomodating of their preferences and wants, of course.

Cristo can swing the whole range, in regards to how affectionate/standoffish he might be. One minute, he can be cuddly and friendly and willing to listen to you gripe about the fight your best friend is having with their boyfriend, the next he might be barking orders out like a drill sergeant, and expecting them to be followed.

When it come down to it, Cristo values expediency over niceties, and has a tendency towards tunnel-vision in accomplishing a given goal--if it accomplishes his goal faster and with less fuss, he doesn't really care that if it causes 3 hours more work for the people picking up behind him, or if it inconveniences a dozen people just to save him five minutes. (('Why would I walk all the way across the room to use the litterbox? It was far more convenient to go right here. :<' ))

As to what his goals are, while he serves the greater good, and would certainly see it as his duty to guide his 'charges' along the correct path to also serve it, he's not of the school that everyone deserves saving--when he's stirred to step in, or act, he's not going to back down until he's succeeded, or died trying (ditto that for those he can convince to do the same), but he sees enough shades of grey that he really doesn't feel it's their duty to step in to protect every poor schmuck on the street, often from themselves.

Hobbies:

Harassment - He gets a kick out've winding other people up, expecially when they get on his bad side (or are the victim of one of his unpredictable mood swings) and it shows. Sometimes, doing so also serves the purpose of providing impetus for them to do what he's directing them to do, which is an added bonus. biggrin .

Knitting - This isn't something he brings up often, or publicly, but he made the scarf he always wears, and often whiles away spare time by making useful bits of clothing to warm his more-susceptible human form during the winter months. (and the reason that this is a year-round task for him is that the knitwear ends up falling to pieces in short order, probably because he can't resist batting it around, although he does, sometimes try.)

Strengths

Inquisitive - This could technically be both a blessing and a curse, but once Cristo's curiosity is roused, he's very difficult to deter--come embarrassment for the senshi whose secrets he's ferreting out, or danger for him in his 'investigating', once he determines to get to the bottom of something, it's very rare that he doesn't do so....and those rare occasions that he fails to find the answers he wants, he can be touchy, irritable and downright cranky.

Practical - Cristo's not overly attached to formality, or tradition, particularly when it's inconvenient for him--whether that offends or bothers others, he really could care less.

Driven - this can be both a strength and a flaw...possibly even borderline-obsessive, Cristo will ignore everything from hunger pangs to injuries (as long as they aren't slowing him down unduly - yay practicality!) in order to get the job done, which means that he usually accomplishes what he sets out to do, even where others may have long-since given up. However, as a result, he can be pushy and impatient with others who may or may not be quite as determined to push forward.

Decisive - (this is sort've the positive side to his flaw of being 'judgemental') Cristo's quick to make decisions, and willing to stand by them, which can sometimes be all the difference between success and failure--he's not going to sit around bemoaning all the possibilities that go wrong, or worrying about whether or not he/his team is enough to swing it, but instead he looks at what he knows about a given situation and chooses a path accordingly.

Flaws

Judgemental - While not completely inflexible, Cristo has a tendency to make snap judgements, and once his mind is made up about something/someone, it's very difficult to convince him that he was mistaken, and to change his mind. With that said, being judgemental doesn't forbid his being adaptable to a given situation--but it may limit what he takes into consideration, and what he may overlook.

Capricious - Because his moods are prone to changing often, and without real provocation, he's not always seen (with good reason) as being particularly trustworthy, or predictable.

Snobby - Cristo has a pretty major superiority complex, although it's not ALWAYS all about him--as far as he's concerned though, his team is the best, and of course, as far as guardians go, he IS about as good as it gets...at least, he is in his own mind.

Foul Mouthed - Minor flaw, but Cristo has a really foul mouth most of the time, more so when he's under pressure or annoyed.

History: I have a couple questions that need answers before I can write this up, so this'll have to sit blank for now XD;;

Appearance:

Cat Form: Really, I'm not overly picky as to exact markings--the only really strong want I have for his cat form is the tall, slender leggy/lanky frame that exemplifies the breed. ex 1 ex 2

Human Form: Tall and somewhat slender, but deceptively strong for his build. He's not built like a girl, but with more of a rangy strength than a bulky one. He's got a light-to-medium tanned skintone, gold eyes, and his hair color, I'd imagine to be a range of light-medium reddish browns, with lighter red-gold streaks.

For the following bit, I know it's not the magically-influenced attire that guardian-cats actually would wear, but natsu said she could take a spin on the descrip below, so I'm not going to alter it. Incidentally, if there were any one clothing item I'd like to see him actually have, it'd have to be the knit scarf. >w>

While there might be a few things that differ, the loose reference pic zoo did for me (omgluv) at the top of the thread is a perfect reference for his hairstyle, as well as for his scarf (which he almost NEVER leaves home without). Fingerless knit gloves are also a winner, as far as he's concerned--they keep his hands warm, but don't interfere with his sense of touch. The T-shirt is also exactly the sort've thing he'd wear, because he CAN. Usually, he's the sort who'd never bother with anything more dressy than a well broken-in pair of jeans, or cargo pants (if there's a few holes in them, he really could care less).

Like the reference pic, while he wouldn't be the type to overdo accessories (he wouldn't have the patience for it) things like the watch, and even a few other pieces that caught his eye/amused him in his spare time (shineyyyy) wouldn't be out've the question. And leaving something like his belt undone because he couldn't be bothered to take the time to fasten it properly is, unfortunately, the sort've thing that'd be right up his alley, behavior-wise.
