It was a whole new world for Bovidae as he clung to his mother's hand. Mountains made of metal screeched loudly, or were they the people riding on them? It was hard for the spawn to tell, but he knew one thing already, this day was going to be fun! There were other rides too, and lots of games and foods and gift stores to choose from!
Sure, it was a bit cold outside, but still it's not that bad as far as the Harrington's were concerned. Long sleeves and pants were all that were needed, though Bovi, as always, lacked shoes.
"Where are we gonna go first Mama-Stace?" Bovi queried.
"How about the swing ride over there to get you started?" she suggested.

"Lira Lira Lira can I gets a posicle? And-and cotton can'y, and a pizza, and cowny dogs, and-"
"Um, um, hold on Fitzroy, I don't have that much money!" Lirona cried out as she rushed after the excitable spawn in her charge as he ran from food stand to food stand, completely awed by the foreign tastes and smells. Mr. Cathaldus had needed someone to babysit the Gluttony boy while he was out going to a great-aunt's funeral, and Lirona had happily volunteered. It was always good to have a little money, after all.
However, Fitzroy was proving to be a little more than she could handle. Ever since the two had arrived at the theme park, the young boy had done nothing but run excitedly from place to place, a worried Lir in tow. It seems his attention span was too short to be held by just one thing. Unfortunately.
Finally, Lir caught up to Fitzroy and caught his shoulder, quickly scooping him up before he could run off again. "Alright, you bottomless pit," she teased him gently, "how about we actually go on a ride if I get you... frozen lemonade?"
Fitzroy wiggled happily at the thought, Pac-man biting lightly on Lirona's arm. "Okay! Okay! Um, um, we should go on that one!" he said, pointing at the giant swing contraption on the other side of the Guess-and-Tell booth.
A short frozen lemonade break later, the two spawn were making their way to the line for the swing, Lirona's hand clamped firmly on Fitzroy's as she lectured him. "Now remember Fitz, you have to stay with me. Don't go running off aga- ga- No, wait, Fitzroy!"
Somehow, the toddler had wiggled out of her grasp enough to run forward a few places in line, staring with open admiration at the boy with purple hair that stood there. "Wow... Your hair's a great color!" he said happily, bouncing up and down on his heels, the ride completely forgotten. "I wish I coulda brought-ed my crawons so I coudda drawed you! Your hair's a... lilcay color, I fink! And I'd know, a-cause I draw wif crawons a lot!" he said happily, puffing up his chest.

Bovi simply smiled. With his keen senses he had heard the boy some time ago, and had a feeling he was going to be approached soon. He had gotten used to people commenting on him all the time, so this really didn't come as a surprise. After all, he DID have nice hair.
Never the less, he knew that every compliment was a treasure. "Thanks!" he said, bringing the long braid around his shoulder so he could get a good look at it himself. "I like your...wings? They look kinda like wings anyway. I've never seen anyone with things like that on them before, so I am sorry if that's not what they are," he stated honestly.

Fitzroy bounced happily on his heels, and smiled with both his mouths at the compliment. "Yup, they be wingers! Dey're not like fevvery wings, dough; all dey can do is whistel," he said with a grin, wiggling his wings to demonstrate the high whistling noise that they made. He then bent down and poked at Bovidae's ankle-wings appreciatively, Pac-man stretching out his tongue to lick the edge of one curiously. "I like yer lil' wings! Dey're cute!"
Lirona arrived then, very much out of breath from all of the running this baby-sitting job required, and smiled apologetically at the adult by the spawn. "Ah... h-hi. Sorry about Fitzroy here; he-he's pretty excited to be here." She smiled tiredly and stretched out her hand. "I'm Lirona, by the way. Nice to meet you."
Fitzroy, who had been watching Lirona for this time, then turned to Bovi and mimicked his temporary guardian, stretching out his hand and making what he thought was a serious face. "M' Fitzroy, by th' way. Nice to meetchu."

Stacie smiled. Bovi just seemed to attract odd people to him. Not that she didn't mind. She had been more sociable with Bovi around then she ever did before she had been entrusted with his care.
"Stacie Harrington," she said politely, taking Lirona's hand giving it a firm shake.
Bovi was about to introduce himself, but blinked. It hadn't occurred to him that the mouth on Fitz's tummy was real. He just thought it was part of his shirt. The light lick made him jerk just a bit, because he really wasn't expecting it.
"Eh? Oh...um...I'm Bovidae, but you can just call be Bovi," he finally said, snapping out of his stupor long enough to remember that the boy had told him his name

Lirona smiled at Stacie and shook her hand, still a little awkward and very out of breath from chasing Fitzroy around. She was only glad that Adelle wasn't staying with her friend today, otherwise she'd have a real handful. She sighed, and then smiled a little awkwardly before smiling at Bovidae. "Nice to meet you to, Bovi. I like your hair."
"I know right!" Fitzroy said, grabbing onto Lirona's shirt and bouncing up and down. "And and and he's got ankley wings, and cool feets and cool stuff!" The Gluttony boy smiled brightly, obviously very proud of his new friend's appearance, before turning back to Bovidae. "So so you're gonna go on de swingers too?! We should go togevver!"
"Um, I don't know about that, Fitzroy," Lir said quietly, looking nervously at the line of people behind them. "We shouldn't really cut in front of all of these people..."

Bovi looked at Fitzroy and then at Stacie, and finally at the line behind them full of rather grumpy patrons. Grumpy people were bad, but Fitzroy was nice and super neat and...
"We'll just go to the back with you!" he said finally, stomping a hoof down onto the pavement as to show that it had been decided and that no one else could talk him out of this new plan of action. He let go of his mother's hand and grasped Fitz's hand and took off towards the back of the line.
"Gotta hurry before more people get in line!" he said with with a giggle.
Stacie shook her head and scooted out of the line as well, though lacking the vigor Bovi had. She gave a weak smile to Lirona.
"That's Bovi for you. Good lord is he hard to keep up with. Doesn't help that the boy hardly sleeps," she offered with an apologetic yawn.

Fitzroy also looked back at the line of angry people, puffing his cheeks out in confusion at the predickiment they had on their hands. However, thanks to smart Bovi, the two of them were soon running to the back of the line. The Gluttony spawn giggled happily as he ran, bouncing when the pair of children got all the way to the back. He peered around the people to see where Lira and Stacie were, and gasped quietly at how long the line was! It was like a million long! He looked at Bovidae in concern. "Gosh, it's gonna be a longs wait! You shure you don't minds, Bovi?"
Lira laughed ruefully as she walked with Stacie, shaking her head. "Oh, don't I know it. Fitz's best friend has both Liberality and Diligence in her. She sleeps for five hours a week." She laughed again, fidgeting with her hair. She felt like an old mom, comparing kids and such. "I'd probably have lost both of them by now if she had come with us."

Stacie blinked a couple of times. So the little one that Lirona had in her care currently was from the lab Bovi was from? Bovi had never mentioned kids with second bellies on them before, or metal wings for that matter. Lirona was obvious right away, as this was not the first tentacled child they had come across, though she was the oldest.
"Sounds like a handful," she said finally.
Meanwhile, Bovi waved off Fitz's suspicions with a grin.
"Bah, I don't mind waiting! It'll be more fun to wait with someone to talk to," he explained. "So Fitzroy, what do you like to do? Sides drawing I mean," he asked.

Lirona nodded, smiling brightly at Stacie and shrugging her shoulders. "Yeah, I suppose. They're both real sweethearts, but..." Another rueful laugh as the two guardians finally got in line. "They certainly love their exercise." She paused, gnawing at her lip as she tried to think of something else to say. She didn't have a lot of experience talking to adults that weren't Noah or Silas (or Adhara, she supposed), so the Lust spawn was understandably a little awkward. After a small while, she smiled once again, looking to where Fitzroy and Bovidae were. "Bovi certainly seems sweet. What's his combination, if you don't mind me asking?"
Fitzroy grinned and nodded, happy that Bovi wasn't going to get all impatient and mad. Mad people weren't very fun to be around. He gnawed his lip gently as he thought, Pac-man mimicking the expression, before he shrugged. "Mm, dunno! I likes vidyo games, and peeza, and my daddy, and a whole lotta stuffs!" He bounced on the balls of his feet. "Whaddya you likes to do, Bovi?"

Stacie giggled. Apparently, according to Bovi, it was always hard for people to guess his combination. He lacked the super distinguishing genetics that either one had, and he was awfully good at pleasing the sin side of him by being kind to people. After all, he realized at an early age that more people would like him and swoon over him if he were nice, and it just became part of his personality. Besides it seemed the virtue side of him was prominent anyway with how hard he worked on tasks.
"Pride and Diligence believe it or not," she said with a laugh.
Bovi clapped his hands together. "Oh! I like video games too! And puzzles, and playing sports. I like basketball the best, cause my legs make me good at jumping!" He wiggled one of his bow legged legs to prove his statement.
"That, and its one of the few sports I can play that doesn't need me to wear shoes with points on them. I kinda can't wear shoes cause of my feet."

"Oh! Oh, I guess that makes sense," Lir said with a mild tone of surprise. She could have guessed the Diligence part, seeing as her best friend and surrogate niece both were Diligence, but the boy certainly didn't seem to prideful. Well, thinking about it, there was really no other sin that she could attribute to him, so she supposed that worked. She laughed gently. "Funny, I always imagined Pride children to be more... annoying," she ventured gently, not wanted to offend Stacie. It was true, though; the idea of Pride wasn't usually a very good one.
Fitzroy smiled widely, hollowed wings flapping with excitement and making a whistling noise. "Rully? Dat's awesome! I likes puzzles, too, and art-ing, oh but I never played baskeeball 'afore..." the boy trailed off, tapping his chin thoughtfully while Pac-man nommed his 'lip'. "How do yah plays it?" he inquired. The only sport he knew about was soccer, and that's because Daddy liked to watch it on the tee-bee. Basketball was a very foreign concept.

Stacie smiled and nodded her head at Lirona's statement.
"That's what I was afraid of as well, but being mixed with diligence seems to tapir off some of the annoying. It's like he's willing to work hard for people to like him, and the liking part keeps his pride side pleased." That was the only way she could explain it anyway.
"Hummmm," Bovi mused, trying to find the best way to explain a foreign sports concept to someone.
"Well, its basically a game where you try to throw the ball into the basket that's way up high on a pole. The basket has a hole in the bottom so you can get the ball back. The farther away from the basket you are when you make the ball go in, the more points you get."

Lirona nodded, her apprehension around the mother quickly falling away. "Oh really? That's neat. I suppose that's a good combination then..." he mused, mind drifting lightly to combos that he supposed didn't work so well. Litural, for one, and of course, Aludra... Coming back to the present with a shake of the head, she beamed up at Stacie. "Well, it certainly works. I like him, and I'm positive that Fitzroy does too!"
Fitzroy listened intently to Bovidae's explanation, gasping quietly at the sound of this baskey-ball game. It sounded hard! As the pair moved forward in line, Fitzroy's admiration for the older spawn grew. He must be really awesome to be able to do something so difficult. "Wows, dat's neato! You're rully good, huh Bovi?"

Stacie laughed lightly, shuffling a few steps ahead as the line moved as to keep track of Bovi. Sure, the boy could take care of himself, but there was a younger person with him, and the mother side of her wanted to make sure everything stayed safe for both of them.
"Well little Fitzroy is a sweetie himself," she said to Lirona. "To be honest I think this is the first time I've come across one with a second mouth, though I suppose I shouldn't really be surprised with anything that has that facility connected to it..." her words wandered off as she kept watch on the two adorable boys, glad that they, at least for now, were void of any horrible side effects for being what they were.
"I'm pretty good, but I am not as good as older kids at it. I still need practice," Bovi said with a nod. "I try to practice as much as I can everyday, though Mama-Stace gets worried if I stay outside for too long..."
