Why?
I was never like that. When guys blew me off or said mean things to me, I hated them. I dated nice boys. Had crushes on nice boys.
Well, right now I'm in love with an a*****e. But idk.. I think I'm still different. I think I love the person Matt used to be, and I stick around for the brief moments where he is Matt. It's becoming not worth it anymore. But I've moved out twice now.. and came back. I lie to myself, and I lie to others about how things are. What does it really take to leave? When will it be real? Cause I thought the last time I was really done.. but here I am. He is drunk again, and he tried to beat me up. Granted, I did hit him first.. in the side and there's no way it hurt.. but he told me, out of nowhere, "Felicia told me if I kick your a** she'll act like she did it so I don't get in trouble." Why would he say that? But more importantly, why am I still this stupid girl? Letting him treat me like s**t all the time? I don't even like him most of the time. I always love him.. but most of the time I want him to go away.
Soo.. discuss..
Do you tend to date assholes?
Have you ever loved someone, but only for what you used to have?
Am I an idiot?
Will I ever really leave?

No. You aren't an idiot. Love does make people do silly things, though, and sometimes it's easier to stay with someone because of a love you used to have than it is to see them for what they are now and move on.
That being said, there is something to be said also for commitment and sticking with someone through tough times if you think there might be hope.
Of course, I'm biased right now because I'm begging for another chance!

You need to leave him before he hits you. seriously. I understant loving someone for what you had, beleive me, im in the same boat there myself. my bf might be an a$$ sometimes, but he would never hit me. your not an idiot for still wanting to be there. im more afraid my guy wont be able to move on. but if you dont love him anymore, your hurting him and yourself for staying.

My tendency is to be laid back, yet fun, with a satirical and cynical sense of humor. Quite a sick sense of humor....but never an a*****e. Most ladies don't seem to have an interest in me...save for select few on the Internet (they know who they are). As for your problem, Spen, leave him. And if he ever does physically hurt you, let people know...especially me. I can't stand to see a man hurt a woman like that. (second though, don't let me know...I'd end up breaking his legs.)

Okay, I'm gonna say it- THERE ARE NICE GUYS OUT THERE. Lots of them in fact. No one seems to pay attention to them though. :/ There's also something to be said for compatibility though.
I could blame a lot of bad relationships on daddy issues, but sometimes it's just the thought of someone that girls end up liking the most.

I concur with that fact that nobody pays attention to the nice guys. They just end up becoming good friends, nothing more. :I

gonk That was not a personal attack at all. I wasn't even talking about myself, for the most part.
And the sad part is that some guys know this, and are assholes just to get the girl, per se. idk about anyone else, but I know I can't help but be nice. It's just who I am.

A man should NEVER raise his had as a fist against a women...ever I abide by taking care of women treat them nice, be gentle as you can...One of the very few things that can make me pissed off is seeing a guy abuse and maltreat his girlfriend...and the fact I can't really do anything to stop it...pisses me off....
