:< That's lame, and with the past times I've used Amazon I usually got my items around the later date if not after.

Spook, it's that book Dog mentioned. looks like a good read, and it'll help me on part of my research. good source material too.

I went ahead and canceled the order, left them a very serious note explaining my discontent lol. well...I did all this only after I found a nearby bookstore that has it so I'll pick it up tomorrow, and Wal-Mart's got GI Joe for the same price, so no worries there either.

The shitty part is if you want it faster you have to pay more money. Now that's totally jacked up.

Everything costs money... Everything. :/

That blows. I'm glad you're still getting that book, though. It really is good. It puts things in perspective from an outsiders eye.

If I didn't have to come up with 1,000$ for my mom to help me get a car, I would buy the book too xD

Not much else in Non-fiction that I can think of... (Mary Roach's other book, Stiff looks interesting: its about human's fascination with cadavers.)

In the fiction section however, I would highly recommend Christopher Moore's books (any of them. They're all sci-fi/fantasy, and they're all hilarious.) In particular A Dirty Job, which is about an antiques dealer unwillingly dealt the duty of collecting people's souls before they die. All the while looking after his infant daughter as a single parent and two ginormous hell hounds, and battling the forces of darkness that want to feed on the souls.... Death+funny... he can pull it off.

As Christmas approaches, check out The Stupidest Angel (yet another Christopher Moore book) an angel is sent down to earth to grant a christmas wish to one child. The child he selects, having recently witnessed a man dressed as Santa Claus being murdered with a shovel, wishes for Santa to come back to life. Not being the brightest angel in the sky, he raises the dead, unleashing brain-starved zombies on the entire town.... Wee!
