Swerving her eyes to the side, Uzuri smiled contently. It felt good to be needed, to be loved. She lay on her side, flicking the tip of her tail up in the air at repeating intervals. The ground was soft and healthy, mainly due to all of the water sources that speckled the area. It was her father that made that input, as he never wanted to stray too far from it.
Her head flopped down, and she closed her eyes, feeling the gentle wind blow across her fur. This place had become heaven to her, surrounded by those she loved. It was a tight-knit family, all linked together in some way or another. She never regretted the decision to have Ade's large family come to the pack with him- it was the perfect thing, to surround herself in his essence, as she had lost anything her original family had given her.
Heaven. Yeah, that's what it was.

Adejola was trying to be a sneaky as possible as he snuck toward Uzuri. His gray form was held low to the ground and his orange toes barely made any sound as he slowly advanced. Suddenly, he smirked and, with a quick burst of speed, ran forward and playfully tackled his mate. The adolesance nuzzled her head before showering her with a bath of licks. "Gotcha, 'Zuri." He purred happily, his tail wagging. "Whatcha doing?"

"Ade!" Uzuri sprawled her paws out before being tackled. A smile creeped onto her face, her blue eyes wide with happiness that he was there with her. "I was just letting my mind wander for a bit." She pressed her nose onto his, happy for the wonderful distraction. "But I'm glad you're here. You make me happy every time that I see you." She smiled, trying to take more liberties in her speech around him. It was difficult, changing who she had become, but she loved changing, especially for him.
"What have you been up to, hm?" With all of the work that came with leading a pack, she hadn't actually seen Ade around lately. It took little moments like this for their main interactions, but she loved the getaways they provided.

The wilddog wagged his tail harder and snuggled against Uzuri. "I've been doing....stuff." He laughed and rolled over to lay next to the blue female. "I was exploring. But mostly I was just looking for you. I missed you." Adejola licked at her ear, carefully grooming her. "I found you though." He wished that he could just stay at her side forever, but now that she was the leader of the pack, it was hard. "You don't have anything to do, right?"

Relaxing her neck, Uzuri closed her eyes, moving her head in rhythm with his grooming. She felt calm and happy- such a wonderful feeling, it seemed to eminate from the pack itself. "I missed you too." Her eyes flicked down, glad to hear his words. It was something she had dearly missed hearing. "I don't have anything to do today." She smiled, glad that there was no conflict to resolve, no major problems. "It's really mellow today." She rolled, laying over his side. "So you've got me all to yourself today." She wanted to say more, to say that she wanted to just get lost somewhere and lay together, staring at the sky. "It'll be a date, hm?" Right now, all that mattered was spending time with him. She did adore him to pieces, after all.

"Then I'm stealling you away." Ade growled playfully before nipping playfully at his mate. He nosed her lightly before wagging his tail and bouncing away. "Come on, 'Zuri. I found a secret spot while I was exploring, I want to show you!" He wagged his tail, his eyes lit up in delight. "Come on, come on!" The wild dog blushed lightly, but soon continued to bound off.

Uzuri almost jerked up after him, something that had become instinctual. She followed after him like a lost puppy, a small smile on her maw. "You did?" She had to admit, she was curious. She thought she had seen every place in the lands, but was excited that there was someplace she hadn't found- someplace all there own. It had a certain dreamy quality to it. "Well, let's hurry then!" She picked up her pace, trotting up to be next to him.

Ade wagged his tail faster. "Yep I did!" He nuzzled Uzuri before trotting off. He led her to almost the edge of the pack border to a small clearing that was mostly hidden by plants. "See, 'Zuri? This can be our place." Adejola yipped happily. It wasn't a big clearing, but they could both fit in it without any problem. "You like it?"

Following up behind him, Uzuri peered in, staring blankly as she took it all in. A feeling welled up in the pit of her stomach, and she almost felt like crying. It was theirs. "It's like our own little den." She breathed the words out, her eyes watering. "I love it!" She buried her face in the fur on his neck, ecstatic about their new little hiding spot. "You don't know how much this means to me, Ade." The dreams she had for their future all came sputtering up in a blur in her mind. And they all started with this little place. This little, wonderful place.

He swelled up with pride and nuzzled his mate. Of course he knew how much it meant to her. It was why he had searched out such a place. "We can have our own little place with our own family. And it will be all ours." He snuggled against her, licking at her ear. "I love you, 'Zuri."

"Our own....family...." Still staring at the little spot, Uzuri pictured little ones running around, playing fun little games that little ones play, looking adorable and loving. "That sounds amazing; having a family." She nuzzled him carefully, letting her emotions swell for awhile.
"I love you, too." Moving in closer to the little spot, Uzuri peeked her head in, looking around. "Forever and ever, my dear." She glanced back, a small smirk on her face. She hurried into the little bushy area, curling up inside the small opening.

Adejola bounced after her and was soon curled at her side. "So, is life in the pack turning out to be exactly what you thought it would be?" He asked softly as he flopped gently against her side. "Family, friends, a place of our own?" He asked softly, having one of his rare serious moments.

"It's everything and better." She leaned on his shoulder, blinking her eyes slowly as she tired. On her days off, her lack of sleep tended to catch up with her. While she wanted to stay awake and talk to Ade more, she didn't think she could last much longer. "I think making a little family here would be amazing." She rolled, situating her position to be more comfortable. "Little brown and blue fuzzies running around." She let out a yawn, starting to drift off.

Ade lovingly nuzzled his mate. "I'm glad, 'Zuri. I'm glad." He crooed, even as his eyelids began to droop. Uzuri's sleepiness was turning into sleepiness for him. The wilddog yawned, but soon drifted off. He lay against Uzuri with a smile as he slept, his tail wagging on.
