In Muramasa's rebellion, things and things happened so I'm wondering, how would/did your characters defeat and get back their zanpakout? What personality, instincts and everything else did they have?

Koori Semi's instincts were to beat Cinniko at dance hakudo, an art of dance that Cinniko beat her in when she achieved bankai. She's a calm and fun loving spirit and is much more loosened up than Cinniko but she always hated that she was second place in this dance art.
She and Cinniko dance while fighting with their daggers. Koori Semi had a great advantage using six arms and compound eyes to see where attacks come from. However, without her right arm because it was severed and frozen, won by using her foot to grab the dagger and slice Koori Semi's head off and freeze the nerves. She got her back and never did she try to beat her in dance again.

Mine's actually much more simple. For Eiyuu, it'd probably be something along the lines of fighting with honor until the end with sheer will besting the zanpakuto at the end.
For Shunketsu, his zanpakuto has always been shy around him, and seeing her true form, Shunketsu uses a tactic he never thought he'd had to use. He charges at her like a lecherous pervert and as she recoils from fear, he shunpos behind her, sword at the ready, point out the faults in her logic, redeems his honorable self, and viola...done.
