Aziz'Din was sitting outside the family den, still very close but just far enough that he was out of the main clutter that came from having so many cubs in one area. He loved his sibblings but there were just so many of them, it made his head spin. His mothers did a good job though, keeping them all taken cared of. It was easy to slip away though, not that Din intended to go far. Just get some air before going back in.
He stretched, curving his back in a feline gesture of delight, his claws digging into the dirt with his tail flicking. He yawned loudly, stretching his jaw wide as he had done before with his body. Settling back down onto his rump, he glanced around. Spotting a fluttering pair of wings, his eyes lit up dangerously. He was new to hunting but surely he could catch a butterfly? It wouldn't be that hard.
Dropping into a crouch, Din wiggled on the ground, tail flicking though the rest of his body was stilled. His eyes were locked on the pretty coloured butterfly which was resting on a nearby rock. He bet his mother would love the dead butterfly as a present, it would make her proud, right? A devilish look transformed his face as he crept closer, a low purr in his throat.

Aziz'Din's eyes had been only on the butterfly he'd been stalking, and hadn't heard his elder sister approach. He hadn't intended to eat the pretty bug, he'd just wanted to catch it. Butterflies were quick creatures when they wanted to be after all and he just wasn't big enough to move on to bigger prey yet.
When something pounced on his tail, Din yowled, panicking. Spinning around, Din spotted Atefeh. He had recognized her voice but in his panic, hadn't placed where he knew it. “What were you doing, Atefeh? Why did you do that?” He yowled, spinning back around but the butterfly was gone. An annoyed growl come from his throat and he glanced back at his sister, a faint glare in his eyes. “It's gone now.” He said, as if she hadn't noticed the missing bug.

Aziz'Din scowled at Atefeh, despite her obviously sad look. Not only had she let his prey get away, but if that had been a real hunt, she could have endangered them both. It was a dumb thing to do, in his opinion. “It was just a butterfly. They have no real purpose in life, getting captured and eaten by me would be a change from their usual boring life.”
He wanted to stay angry at her, to show her what she had done was wrong, but when she reached out for him, he rolled his eyes. He moved closer and nudged her paw with his, accepting her apology. “I know, just...don't do it again, or else you'll get in bigger trouble.”

Aziz'Din blinked in surprise at her explanation for butterflies. He tilted his head to the side, a curious expression passing across his face before nodding lightly. "An interesting purpose, I suppose," he murmured, his voice contemplative.
He hadn't really thought of butterflies of having a meaning, or a purpose. They were just bugs, but he supposed that her way of looking at it did make sense. They were important, every creature was. "I like your opinion, Sister," he said, a small smile playing on his face now. "Very clever."

Aziz'Din smiled at her, pleased that he had made his sister happy somehow. He wouldn't have told her something that wasn't true, he had been interested in her response. She would make a wonderful banu someday, he decided, inclining his head at him. She was clever and obedient, and that was a well favoured personality.
"Were you planning to do something else out here, sister, or do you want me to walk you back to the den?" He asked politely, happy to walk her back if she wanted. He liked escorting his sisters, because really, there were some males in the pride he was suspicious of, and he didn't want them making his sisters out to be bad banu by approaching them.

Aziz smiled at her, pleased at her enthusiasm, before nodding his head. “I'd love to come and see Mama Tetesi,” he said, nudging Atefeh affectionately before gesturing for her to lead the way. “Perhaps I could get some tips from her while she's teaching you to stalk,” he suggested. He wouldn't intrude on his sister's time with their mother, since with so many cubs, getting individual time with their parents was somewhat difficult, but he would take any tips from her and go off to practice on his own. Plus, Atefeh would be busy, so she wouldn't notice if he practice on a few bugs. He smiled.
