His face stared down at the water with a focused look. The fish swimming underneath the surface, was oblivious to his standing there. Unless it was taunting him by swimming back and forth, which was not a pleasant thing for Tada! at all. His eyes narrowed, as he lunged forward in an attempt to snatch it out of the water.
He pulled his head back up quickly, spurrting and coughing. Water had been sucked up his nostrils, and now he sat back, choking. He snorted and shook his head, to get the water that soaked his head and muzzle to fly.
He was fishless still. His belly rumbling, he groaned a bit. Mother had taught him to hunt, but fishing wasnt something he had ever had a real grasp of knowledge of.
"Damn it, man." He grumbled, and he kicked out at the water with a sigh. He would master it one day.
"Maybe theres a bunny roaming around..." He hoped to himself, ready to hunt one down.

Had the female been in the mood for rabbit, perhaps she would have moved from the almost treeless area about the winding river's bank. But she was not, and even if she were the blank-stared female doubted she would find the courage to leave the familiar bank to venture into the shifting woods. She was far from home, though now Flame was quite unaware if it still was such. The pack, her family and the linch-pin of her life, had disbanded. For quite a time she had stuck about the waterfall she knew every nook and cranny of, tried to hunt in the forest in which every tree smelled familiar. But now all that remained was ghosts.
So, with a tentative heart and mind she had begun to follow to river, determined to end up....somewhere. But now the decision mocked her, and the meek fire-pelted femme wasn't sure if the uncertainty of the world was less scary than the haunted memories she had left behind.

When he noticed the female, he stopped in his tracks. Standing a bit taller, just so he could see her a little better, his ears perked. He smiled, but he almost saw a ghost of a frown on her maw. What was upsetting her so much? Being his mothers son, he really wanted everyone to be happy, as sadness made him feel horrible.
He got a little closer, as he was following the same river he had been fishing. Or at least trying to. He hadn't faired very well in that venture.
"Hello!" He called, trying not to scare her off. He always had a knack for scaring others by being really loud when he spoke. So he lowered an octave when yelling to her.
He closed the distance between them, slowly and cautiously approaching her. He was interested in her, and her orange markings made him interested in completely different way.
But he had to help her, she looked so sad!

Flame noticed him the same time that she heard him, and the surprise that crossed her face was quickly changed to fear. Despite the patches of bright orange colour so like her own running down his back and paws, she hadn't noticed him. The female stopped in her tracks, hunching over as she lowered her head, hoping in either to hide or prove she wasn't a threat.
Was this his land? The wolf wasn't sure, nose twitching delicately about while bi-coloured eyes were locked on his face. She hadn't smelt anything out of the ordinary since she had left her own home, despite the obvious. But things may be different out in this world than they were in Airavata.
"I'm sorry!" Flame managed to yelp out, voice raspy in the way that one was when it wasn't used often. What use did a quiet wolf had for words when she was on her own. "I....can leave." She offered quickly as he began to approach, her tone a weary mixture of embarrassment and compliance.

He whined, his ears going back as he stepped closer. He was slowly lowering his body, hoping to become less of a threat to the female.
"Wait, please.." He paused, his voice almost pleading. "Don't leave, I didn't mean to frighten you." He spoke, eyes also pleading with her. He didnt want her to leave so fast. For some reason, he wanted to get to know her. It wasnt every day that he met someone he wasnt related to, bear the orange colors that he loved so much.
"My name is Tada!" He said softly, his belly touching the earth, as he wagged his tail with a thump thump thump against the earth.
She was lovely, and he couldnt help but stare deep into her sapphire eyes.
"Whats your name?" He asked, curiously. The male may have been overly friendly, but he was genuine.

In her lowered stance the female began to pace back and forth between the bank and the treeline, though the gap was not that large. It was part nervous habit and part split decision. Would she take to the water, though she hadn't an ability to swim? It was a stupid fear, the water, when growing up in a pack primarily of water. Dens and tunnels carved through time into the hard rock of the waterfall, a snaking river leading out towards the ocean. Yet she kept from the water like a living flame, though entranced by it's dangerous surface.
Or would she flee through the forest, pursued surely by the male who's fur was as drastic in colour as her own? In the end, cautious eyes kept to watching the wolf, confused by his actions yet too interested to look away. This behaviour was an opposite from his earlier hollering, the crunch in the forest that frightened the deer.
Her breath catch for a moment as she opened her maw to speak. "Why, would you want to know?"

Why did he want to know? That was a good question, and one he wondered in his head now. But his answer was easy coming to him. It was in his nature. He was friendly, he wanted others to befriend, and he refused to be ignorant of their prescence. He gave her a soft smile, whining a bit and lowering his head to the earth so that he stared up at her with yellow eyes.
"Because I think you are interesting..and quite possibly the prettiest female I've ever seen. " He replied honestly. Honesty was the best policy right? He took a sharp intake of breath as he inhaled.
"I.. Im sorry if Im bothering you.. I'll leave you alone if you like." ...Not Likely. He was not just going to let something like her just walk off... But he would surely have to should she want to leave. That caused him to sigh.
"I'd prefer to be your friend though."

The female licked her lips cautiously, though despite her wariness of him she was being lulled into a sort of security about the male. His behaviour was inviting and assuring to her, but she would be hard-pressed to believe that she could be entirely safe right now. His compliment caught her off guard, and shyly the female stopped her pacing and turned her head away to keep the meek smile from her face.
No! She thought firmly, her sensibility taking over in the situation. Flattery and soothing gestures were well and good, but she didn't know him. The name she barely caught, and was embarrassed for both her sake and his. "W-What's your name?" The wolf inquired softly, looking back at the wolf. He looked foolish and out of place pressed against the ground, and it kept her cagey. "I don't catch it before." She blurted softly, swallowing.

She was definitely a defensive soul. It made him sad. She must have had a hard life, that, or someone had treated her horribly.
"My name is Tada!" He repeated, and offered a little smile. He wasnt sure he was doing a good job at making her feel more comfortable. He snorted a bit, but sat up, sitting on his haunches.
He wagged his tail, his eyes genuine as he smiled. He was a good soul, it was the difference between him and his cousins. His family carried more of Wazaam's blood. Decent, and kind blood that was strong and proud. But his close family carried Twists insanity as well.
"It's a pleasure to meet you.. If I could only learn your name." He mused, a gentle smile on his face.

Though she back up a step or two when he rose to a sit from his groveling on the ground, there was only so long before a soft heart came through more than a cautious mind. The waving of his tail allowed to calm her enough to keep her in one place. Tada! It seemed more like an exclamation than it did a real name, and for a moment the surprise was evident in her eyes. Tada! It was unexpected, even thinking the name in that way surprised her each time.
Blinking at him for a moment, the female would've been glad that she couldn't blush, for she'd feel the fool's crimson rising to her face to match or brighten the red and orange of her fur. "I'm...Flame. Flame." She said once more, nervous chitter enough to show she still wasn't completely at ease. However, it was really doubtful she truly was. Even in the confines of the packlands, she was only really off-edge when snuggled close against a parent or packmate. Her bright coat outshone her personality, she thought.

He felt he was making a little progress with the femme, and he couldnt help but offer her a kind smile. He was a patient boy, and he could tolerate a struggle in order to make a true friend.
He made sure not to touch her, though he wanted to offer her a friendly nudge with his shoulder. He stayed back though, he did not want to offend, or for that matter; frighten her.
"Its a pleasure to meet you Flame. Your name matches your pelt quite well." He said with a nod.
"You look like living fire. Its quite fetching." He responded, not really trying to flirt, but more complimenting something he deemed worthy of a compliment.
"Why are you out here all alone?"He asked, careful not to make any sudden movements.

"As does yours." The female replied lamely, attempting a soft smile. Other than family, there wasn't much contact she came into with others, and even then it was scarce. Love didn't need words. Goodness knew she hadn't been practicing conversation skills in her time alone, hoping to meet someone that would put her calm enough to speak without chasing her off.
Though she was quite out of sorts on how to reply to a compliment, the second time from this wolf. He was not an ugly creature, she had to admit to herself. And averting her gaze to her feet Flame didn't have the time to hide a shy smile that spread from it. "Thank you." A fabulous, witty reply once more, she thought deprecatingly.
"I...I was just." Flame stopped. Why was she out here? It was a valid question, and though normally quite sensible the wolf didn't seem to find a good answer to give him. "Running away." Her voice caught for a moment, and ears flickered back for a moment to express the low tone her voice held.

"Thanks!" He replied, accepting anything good about his pelt. He loved his family's color, and it just happened to be orange. Maybe that was what drew the male in more than anything.. But as he got to know her, he was liking her more and more. With patience, she was opening up slowly.. And he hoped to keep going.
"What on earth could you be running from, if you dont mind me asking?" He asked, cocking his head with a surprised look on his maw as he thought about it. She was such a scared wolf, but she was so pretty; he couldnt possibly imagine her needing to run.."
"Its a shame to hear that.. Well you dont have to run for now, Ill stick by you. Maybe you'll find what you're looking for." He nodded, his smile growing on his face.
He thought her lack of words was charming, as she tried to speak and reply to his compliments and conversation. She was cute in her innocent eyes.

He seemed pleased about everything. It was puzzling, but nice. And other than his first outburst he was taking things slowly and softly, not giving her one annoyed or wary look at her stutter or her hung-back nature.
"Ghosts." The word came out as a whine, and averting her eyes from his yellow ones she clamped her muzzle shut. The idea was childish and unbelievable, but that may be why it was so scary to her. The feeling of being alone while still seeing bits and memories of the past, the wind through the trees without someone to hide up against. She was literally alone in the world now. "Not, real. I'm not....I don't..There're there and they won't leave me be." Flame rambled, with each word she sank lower in her own mind, digging herself ever a deeper hole. The last thing she needed was to be seen as mentally unstable.

With Adolpho and Uncle Idogbe in the family, he was not the type to discredit any story whatsoever. He offered her nod, and looked at her, a genuine look of belief on his face.
"What are they after?" He asked, thinking it a shame that someone like her would be so plagued with the supernatural and the dead.
"I..If you want I'll stick right here, and get at any ghosts who steps close." He replied with a growl as he looked around, ready to fight any of the ghosts should they show their faces around him.
"They should pick on someone their own size." He muttered a bit.
