SoA is hiring again! Specifically, we need a third god colorist for SoAsia (Han is mostly going to stick with SoAfrica), and a new regular colorist or two for SoA in general.
You need to have entries in by December 4 at 7 PM EST. Please post your entries here; do not edit your entry once posted. <3
First off, some general contest rules ...
--> You should NOT post these lines anywhere else EXCEPT here (do not post your finished product in the main thread for opinions). This INCLUDES concept images. If you want to make concept images, please use lines provided by Amy D or other artists, not these lines. You will be immediately graylisted if you post these lines anywhere else, and blacklisted if you refuse to remove them promptly. Come on, guys. :< Please respect this.
--> Please only apply if you're very familiar with the way SoA works. The other colorists or I should also know who you are; we don't want random people applying, please.
--> Please only apply if you're willing to commit long-term to SoA. I really, really don't want to have to be hiring again five months from now.
--> You need to be able to color; you do all your own coloring and growing of pets (you may do certing if you wish, but we do have certists to do this). You should be able to grow your pets in a timely fashion. You also need to know how to work with people -- if you've handled yourself poorly in the past or have a tendency to emo when you don't get what you want, you won't be picked.
--> You keep 100% of what you make.
--> If you have any questions, just ambush Meep in the main thread.
And some rules about hiring --> For God Colorist Positions
--> You will be required to do two custom gods per month, and one god breeding every three months. You will ONLY color gods for SoAsia, not SoAfrica, but you may do regular coloring for both. I expect you to keep up with your work for SoA as a top priority; if you can't do this, please don't apply.
--> To apply for the god colorist position, please make your gods and goddesses using the male and female gray wolves. Each MUST include wings of some type, but all other edits are up to you. Please pick from these four domains: Plants, Hate, Winter, Tigers. You must make AT LEAST TWO, but can choose to do all four.
Application form for God Colorist Position: Name: God image(s):
And for regular colorists!
--> If you are hired, you will be required to open breedings on your own time; we will not be telling you when to open breedings, although you should be doing at least 3 breedings per month. You need to be able to work independently! Please, please don't apply if you work for another large shop; I don't think you could keep up with the work load.
--> You will need to be able to do ALL stages for a breeding before moving on to the next breeding. I know this may be a pain, but it's the only way to be sure the growths will get done if you suddenly go MIA.
--> For this hiring contest, please do at least two fake!breedings from the four listed below. Each breeding should have at least two cubs.
Breeding One: Tamu'dhihaka x Kisura [Ancestors: x x x x x] Breeding Two: Mtafuti-uki x Sikitiko [Ancestors: x x x x x x x x x x] Breeding Three: Narindima'moyo x Piliroho kwa Kwini [Ancestors: x x x x x x x x] Breeding Four: Kiger x Amagada Atadiusti (these are Ela, and should be tattooed as such) [Ancestors: x x x]
You may include throwbacks or randoms in the litter if you wish. Breeding # Chosen: 2, 3, and 4 Finished fake!breeding: Questions for you:How many cubs may be customed into a litter (normal and hybrid)? 2, This how ever is not counting if someone wants to custom in when customs are open. If an adolescent male lion bred to an adult female lioness, what is the maximum number of cubs they could have (not taking into account added customs)? 3 since he would be a bit young the same would apply if the female was younger. What is a 'rogue' breeding? A rouge breeding is when a male is not supplied in the breeding post the colorist then has free range to use any colors and markings to make it as if the female was knocked up be a random male that just happened to walk by. If you get hired, will you have to color all stages at once? Yes I'm pretty dedicated to make sure that my customers will be pleased and growing will be done on time and I will have people smack if I get behind or miss a breeding. Where have you worked previously/where do you work currently? Moon Nymphs, Farplane I closed Moon Nymphs so I no longer work on them, Farplane how ever is a not really well known or busy shop.

Breeding # Chosen: 2 & 4 Finished fake!breeding: You may see my rolls here.
TwoI couldn’t resist! One Two Three Four
Four One Two
Questions for you:
How many cubs may be customed into a litter (normal and hybrid)?
2. Those that custom into a normal litter are limited to one custom a month, and if a hybrid custom is ordered, they must wait 3 months before taking on another custom.
If an adolescent male lion bred to an adult female lioness, what is the maximum number of cubs they could have (not taking into account added customs)?
3, which is half of the “normal” roll. This goes for any breeding with an adolescent.
What is a 'rogue' breeding?
Available for females only, the male is assumed by the colorist, but never actually seen by anyone. He is colorist choice in terms of colors and markings; the owner of the female does not get to decide how the rogue father appears. Litters produced through a Rogue Breeding are half the size of a normal litter.
If you get hired, will you have to color all stages at once?
Yes! And they all must be uploaded to photobucket so if I may disappear, or lose an arm and can’t color, you will be able to grow them for me.
Where have you worked previously/where do you work currently? I’ve guest colored for Soquili and guest colored at too many shops to count in the past to keep them up and running – these are all in my history and I won’t be working there again.
Officially, I work for DragonRiders of Pern at the moment. That is my “full-time” work.
I did lines for Nequus in the past and will occasionally color for them. And, I did/have a few lines/templates for Dracones Aetatis left to do. Nothing very time consuming.
