Alright, I know there have been lots of arguments on who's better, stronger, more badass, *cringes* cuter, or what have you. So give me your opinion. Zack or Cloud, and what grounds you're standing (i.e. better, stronger, etc.)
I honestly think Zack is better. Yeah, yeah Cloud beat Sephiroth...twice, but I think Zack is honestly a lot more cooler. The whole sadness thing Cloud went through was understandable, but I can't help but enjoy Zack's optimism through most of Crisis Core.

zack. cloud.ZACK! CLOUD! uuugg i can't deside gonk there both awesome! there like equally strong, but i'd say cloud is more badass because Zack is giddy lol
but if i had to choose i'd choose .... CLOUD!!!

as far as bad a** goes, question, whos death made cloud tougher. thats right zach. i believe that if not for zach cloud whould be a mere mediorcacy against sephiroth. so in the end final answer zach

I've been a fan of cloud for years but zack hmm.... lets just put it this way
CLOUD 1 - 100 (80) ZACK 1- 100 (20) post a reply about it if you think thats cool? ^_^

i never played Cris core but zack escape doc hojo and took cloud with him, and took bullets for cloud when they got caught!

I'd pick Zack. Sure, everyone loves Cloud, but if it weren't for Zack, then Cloud woudn't be alive in the series anymore.
And plus, Zack's story has one of the most beautiful storylines I've ever known.
Seriously, it made me cry at the end of his story and I just love his character to pieces.

I'd have to say Zack. Cloud's pretty awesome for most of the game and movies but, most of the conflict of the story surrounded him and his sadness at the loss of Aerith and Zack. Zack's story was pretty sad by the end of Crisis Core, but in the first place, what made his ending so tragic was the fact that he was so optimistic. When Zack and Cloud met in Crisis Core (I haven't exactly played too far in Crisis Core yet but I read somewhere about this), Cloud, I think, was affected by Zack's happy-go-lucky attitude. If it wasn't for Zack's past actions in Crisis Core, Cloud wouldn't even have much of a story in FFVII and in the two movies.

I'd say Cloud because Zack... well... they shouldn't have put so much lime light on Zack. Besides, Zack's dream is to become a hero and we all know that heroes are basically made out to be goody-two-shoes. Cloud went against all that. He wasn't out to make himself a hero. He wanted to protect whoever he could in his sad little state of mind.
Besides, I'm not a big fan of Zack's. I like him, but Square Enix went too far when they made a game entirely for him.

I would definitely say Zack. I really like Clouds character but really the only reason why he is strong is because of the Janova cells within him. Zack was very skilled before the experiments done by Hojo. He made it to a 1st Class in SOLDIER and died because he was outnumbered and trying to save Cloud who was barely conscious. Zack was not only stronger physically but he was also stronger emotionally. Half the time Cloud is in his own little world and doesn't know who he is. But again, that could be argued due to what Hojo did to him.

I like him, but Square Enix went too far when they made a game entirely for him. actually cloud did not set out to protect anybody, he set out to be like sephiroth, with sephiroth gone mad, and thought dead, he (basically) set out to make money, then when he got caught up with the whole shinra incident he set out to stop sephiroth at all costs. he was merely forced by Tifa to make a promise to protect her.

Zack, because he was actually soldier first class where as Cloud was just a little messed up in the head really, and got Zack's sloppy seconds before she died
