Bah. She looked at the earth, the greens mingling with the browns of the soil underneath. It was lovely out here. She had been keeping herself busy, trying not to laze around all day. She wanted to explore. It didn't take her long to leave the packlands in search of something to keep her interested. Oh she would never leave for long, she was far too engrained with her family to ever think of leaving. The blood within her was strong, and she refused to be anything less.
Her colors were bright, her pelt all sorts of varying shades of the color prism. She loved the thought that looking at her pelt could give away her parents identities. She was a replica of her mother, or at least she liked to think so. Her family was so important to her, that she idolized her mother like others idolized gods. She knew her mothers past, hell, Bipolar had lived a hard life. She had even killed one of her own pups in the past. But now, she had been nothing but a good mother.
Xanax yawned a bit, tired of thinking of her family. Hadnt she started exploring to get away from them a bit? Now they were plaguing her mind.
She leapt over a large log down by the riverside, and let her paws land in the water with a great SPLASH. The water was cold, as the seasons were changing and preparing for the winter months. She was sure that it would be snowing in no time.
She pranced around the water a bit, lowering her head to lap at it a few times, before she jumped back to the bank, and shook herself, sending water droplets flying. She smiled, oh yeah. She loved life.

Bright orange eyes scanned the area carefully as each step was taken. It had been a rather long day, after getting in a bad fight with a young buck, a tussle with another wolf and being awoken by his nap by a stupid crow. What he really needed was a home, somewhere to stay and catch up on his rest. At this point he looked pretty grumpy, ready to growl at anyone to came across him the wrong way. His dark ears twitched a little, orange pelt giving him away in the soft grass. He certianly didn't have any camoflauge, and being raised that way made him much stronger. He had to learn to stick up for himself rather than hide. As he heard some commotion, he gained curiousity and went to look. "Water's for drinking, you know." There was a hint of how grumpy he was in his tone, his eyes examining the female. She had a bright pelt, onethat kept him from blending in well. Much like himself. None of the wolves he'd met in his life looked as strange as the two of them--though he loved his colouration, how he was strange compared to everyone else. "You belong to a pack, do you not? What're you doing out here?"

She had truly not been expecting to hear anyone else, but his voice boomed loudly as he spoke. He just seemed to have a tone, of anger or grumpiness. Two things that she generally wasnt. Okay, so maybe she could be grumpy on a bad day.. But it seemed like such a wasted emotion. She smiled, though her ears lay flat on her head as she watched him.
At first, she thought it her alpha, Wazaam. But his black markings were not the same as the beloved older male that led the pack with pride and dignity. Of course, his mate used to run him over..Now she noticed that Twist was trying to get him to forgive her...But for what?
"Yes, I know." She replied, her tone the same she always had. It was calm, collected, and completely without the bite that seemed to edge his words.
"And how did you know I have a pack?" She asked, stepping closer, already liking him for the bright pelt he carried. He was beautiful to her, but she'd be damned if she would tell him that right now.
"My name is Xanax."

"I can smell them on you. Warmth and protection." Which was a very good reason to fully avoid the femme--some Alphas were so protective of their kin they would maim any wolf that came across them. Venali was not the type to be afraid of someone, however.
This pretty little thing was actually rather amusing. He was surprised that she was able to hear his tone and not be the least be worried about it. He tilted his head when he heard his name. "A unique one." The larger orange and black male stated.
"I'm Venali."
Though she didn't ask his name, it would be useful for her to know at some point, he figured. Not like he had anything to hide.
He relaxed around her, not because he was extremely comfortable, but because he did not sense her as a threat. She didn't seem the type to either strike at him or call for an Alpha to do so.
Though.. this female did have a calming effect, which was surprising for him. He was quick to be snappy or grumpy when he didn't ahve enough sleep if he was having a hard day. For some reason it was hard to keep up a rough tone while he was speaking with her. Did she have some sort of powers?

She had no powers, though the female may have wanted to. Powers didn't run through her veins, though insanity tended to. Her family all had issues in one way or another. They just were not right in the head, not a one of them. Well, maybe Lithium, but she was so small, that Xanax was even growing larger than her already.
"Well thank you, I come from a very unique family." She mused, sitting gracefully and slowly, as if she was some kind of royalty. It was merely her way of moving though, she was completely unconscious to the act. Her tail wagged against the earth, slowly and meaningfully as it brushed over the dirt.
She wasnt sure why he felt so calm around her, but she tended to have that touch about her. She didn't have an anxious mind, so it tended to calm everyone else as well.
"Pleasure to meet you Venali." She bowed her head a bit, the purple pelt getting blown a bit as a gust of wind hit her in the face.

The female did indeed seem to act like royality, and she was very proud of her family. He bowed his head as well, as he knew his manners and that he was supposed to behave himself properly in front of a lady, no matter her age.
"And you as well," He commented, his eyes with the orange hue instead filling with curiousity as he saw the gust hit the femme. It made her look rather pretty. Her pelt seemed to draw him in, though he was still a little confused about how she calmed him.
He turned his head to the side and glanced into the distance before looking back to the femme. Hm.. What was there to talk about? He didn't feel like leaving just yet. He'd have a long way to go before he could get a free den for the night. He just didn't want to have to bother until he was forced to.
"The snow is coming soon. Will it be your first one?" His head tilted a little. As he was born in the fall, he had a snow as a small pup, though he had curled in his mother's furr to keep him warm and protected from any cold that could get into their den. It was a pleasent sensation, one he did miss.. The warmth of another. It had been many moons since he'd had that.
"You seem like the type that would like the snow."

She beamed a bright smile, her tail wagging some more, still slowly and calmly. Like each move was calculated.
"I have never seen a snow, though Im told how lovely it is." She said dreamily. She couldnt wait to feel the white powder under her feet. Her mother made it seem so amazing! She smiled at the male, and was drawn in at how handsome he was. He was a bright color, just as she. It lured her in, and she almost wanted to put her muzzle in it and just feel its softness.
"Do I? I think Id love it." She giggled. Scooting a bit closer, hoping not to scare the male off, or offend him. She didnt want to get that same angry tone he had had with her earlier. She crawled closer to him, making sure she let him know that she was a submissive female, not looking for a fight. Of course, that was how mother had raised her to behave.
She licked at his muzzle, and smiled a bit as she lowered back to the earth, only this time she had a flirtatious look about her face. Before she moved away from him and sat a few feet from him. She was rather like her mother, bipolar and a bit odd. She didn't really have a set personality, though she was indeed calm all the time.

Was she.. was she flirting with him? This was a new situation with Venali, as he had not been near many females in his time. At least not females that he was not related to somehow.
Xanax was a little strange, he thought, but.. he found himself rather liking that. As she licked at his maw, he grew more curious about this female. He was not offended or frightened, merely made more curious as to why she was behaving in such a manner with him.
A grin tugged onto his lips as he stared at her, his fangs showing, but not in a threatening way. "You're cute." Came his tone, having lost his harsh edge to his tone and instead sounding amused and content. He moved to stand, taking a few steps closer to the female and staring down at her.
"Somehow you have removed my bad mood and instead made me feel light and content. I have no idea how you did it, but it is an impressive feat. Perhaps you and I should spend more time near eachother?" His head tilted.
"That is, if you wish for me to stay around this area for a bit of time while we get aquainted." He would never stay where he wasn't wanted, after all.

He made her heart beat a little faster. Oh she wasnt sure if it was just a crush, or what it could mean. She felt cheeks heat up and she bashfully turned her head and giggled a bit.
"Im cute? Really?" She asked, looking up at him with her oh so innocent eyes. She may have been odd, and slightly unstable, but she was genuinely good. She needed someone to be dominate over her, and standing over her the way he was, she almost felt safe around him.
"Well thanks." She said with a nod. She stood, and her face grew happy and ready for action.
She would love if he stayed around, she had always wanted someone to call her own, though she was still rather young. She knew what love was, or really what a crush was.. And she was crushing hard right now.
"Id love that! You would be quite a pleasant companion to have around." She flirted.

The fact that she was young did tug at the back of his mind. Perhaps it was a phase and she would move past it when she grew to a full adult? Still, there was no harm in getting to know the other, seeing if anything could happen.
She made him feel at ease, that was something rare and to be treasured. Therefor she was something rare and to be treasured.
"I'm sure I would be," He mused a little as he nudged at her cheek with his nose, giving a soft lick to her maw before pulling his head back a little to stare down into her eyes again. He could detect the good in her, the innocence, that was what attracted him the most.
Velani got an feeling that perhaps the other's father or alpha may not enjoy a strong male wolf hanging around on the outskirts of their pack, flirting with an adolence with a pure heart. But it wasn't as though he was doing anything malicious or wrong. Just getting to know her was no crime, was it?
"I will find a den out here, then. And you may come and visit me whenever you feel the need, hm?" His eyes started to glow with contentment now, at the thought of having someone excited to see him when they met. That was always just a warm feeling.
"Do you know of any dens around here in perticular?"

She smiled at him, and nodded. She knew of a bear den that was nearby. Her family had chased the bear off, as he was threatening the pups of the pack. That couldnt happen. It wasnt in the packlands, but right along the borders. One might actually argue it was in the lands, but she knew better. This land was free territory, and anyone who was important knew it.
She gave a little squeal as he licked her muzzle, and she felt her heart beating wildly in her chest. Surely it would pop right out and burst through her chest. Of course, she took a deep breath, and was once again the epitomy of calm.
"How about I stay for awhile?" She asked, as she began leading him to his new home that she had known about. She didnt want to go home yet, and her parents were so busy lately, she had begun to grow lonely.

The larger wolf followed the female, catching the scents of the pack members that had been around. This wasn't their territory, so he wasn't too concerned. But it was close enough that someone might notice him. He would have to count on Xanax to explain him, or he might be awoken in the middle of the night by an unpleasent father.
"I would love for you to stay a while, Treasure." He mused at the new nickname for the female, moving up near her and giving her neck furr a playful n** to show affection.
"There is much for us to learn about eachother." For instance, why she would squeal in such a manner. Though he had to admit that did up his ego a good bit. What male in their right mind didn't love it when a female was excited over them giving attention?
He did what he could to remain cool and calm, he was no young pup. It would be nice to have a rest, but even nicer to rest his paws and chat with a female at the same time.

She had never had a nickname before. Not one that she would really prefer to go by anyway..Somehow Xanie just did not appeal to the younger she wolf.
She pranced a bit, looking around for the spot where the trees grew inward, almost like an arch. She had always thought it neat, that it looked like they were proving a grand entrance for her when she approached.
The den lay behind the arch, with vines and trees growing around it. The absence of a living soul within the den, had let it get slightly run down. But it was still a beautiful den, that she wouldnt mind stealing away to in the middle of the night when her parents were fast asleep.
"There is plenty to learn, but alot of time in which to learn it." She mused, nudging at him with a gentle smile.
She was hoping he was as strong as he was handsome. She needed a strong minded, and strong willed soul to match her laid back tendencies.

Venali grinned to himself as he saw the den that he would make his home in. It was beautiful and would be perfect for him. It just needed a little cleaning up, but he had no problem doing that.
"This will be perfect for me. Thank you." He moved inside for a moment, nudging a little at the inside so there would be enough cleared ground to sleep. After that was taken care of, he came back out and stared down at the gorgeous female, giving her maw a small lick of affection.
"Well, Treasure," The large black and orange wolf stated as he glanced back towards his new den. "I am quite tired after such a long journey, and I wish to go hunting soon. I'll need to catch up on my sleep. I would rather enjoy your company while I rest for a while. Then perhaps you can join me on a hunt before you go?"
Not that he really needed help, but.. perhaps the two of them together could catch a large, juicy meal that would be even more satisfying.
Truth be told, he really wanted the femme to stay to sleep with him. He wanted to know what it felt like to curl up with a female he had actraction to.

Xanax was honestly unsure of what it meant to curl up with a male. She had only ever given her brothers such affection, but her heart was beating so wildly right now, that she smiled and gave a quick nod. She would love to find out if this was love she was feeling. She gave him a little smile, blushing a bit. She needed to see if he was everything she wanted.
"I will stay for awhile. After you wake, we can go hunting. Then I must return home, if Im to escape unnoticed tomorrow as well." She grinned, her smile truly happy. She liked this feeling, and she hoped it didn't go away. At least, not yet.
She walked inside the den, remembering watching her packmates tear at the bear. She wandered to the very back which still had remnants of a bed that had been made so long ago. She laid down, gracefully. Each move she made had a purpose.
"Come lay down." She invited, her eyes beckoning, as she rolled onto her side in an effort to relax.
