I have the orange box but what wast the whole point of the the black box? From what I understood it was for the newer games (HL2:E2, TF2 and portal) but those are all in The orange box. Please tell me.

Some people already bought the Half-life games and therefore do not need to buy them again, right? The orange box, on the other hand, is for newb valve gamers like me who have not yet purchased the first Half-lifes and would like to play them.

The Black Box does not have Half Life 2, or Half Life 2: Episode 1.
