Toravisu YokoshimaAge13Height4'05"Weight85 lbsEye ColorOrange RedHair ColorBlackVillageKonohaClanYokoshimaVillage RankGeninOther TitlesN/AAppearance DescriptionBronze-colored skin is a complexion most of the Yokoshima have. Toravisu contrasts the normal conventions of ninja everyday clothing by wearing contemporary styles, his favorite set being an open red coat with his clan's symbol upon the back of it, which looks like some type of salamander on fire, a faded green shirt with a crossbone on the front of it, some jeans, and regular sneakers. Upon his face he wears yellow tinted shades. His attire is specially made to endure high levels of heat, mainly to keep it from being burned by use of his innate fire abilities.Personality"You're a waste of time, a waste of energy, and a waste of space."
Toravisu is an arrogant kid who dislikes the life of a ninja. He rather be off enjoying the pleasures of life outside the village than staying here and upholding the petty values of his family. He tends to not do many missions or training as he rather be doing his own things. And when he does take the time to do either of these, he is winging it with raw force. Though the Yokoshima clan do not mind using their powers to the extreme, they still hold morals and codes of keeping calmness and anger in balance. Toravisu, being the rebel he is, just blows that stuff off and tends to put to fire anything within immediately vicinity of him. The fire department really hates him.
In short, he doesn't have many friends, which is something he isn't bothered by in the least.HistoryToravisu started out like any Konoha child, only with one major difference: he was exposed to his uncle's collection of books and film of the things he experienced outside the village. Because of how fascinating the outer world was to the same vision of the village he continued to see everything, he finally convinced his parents to let him go on a three year trip out of the village with his uncle in order to explore the world, saying it will help "broaden his horizons." This was mainly an excuse to just leave. He then traveled with his uncle for those years, enjoying all kinds of entertainment and wonders. When he suddenly had to return to Konoha, he returned as a different person, both in clothing and in attitude. The once young and naive Toravisu that his parents knew of before he left had turned into the uptight, rebellious kid they saw in front of them. It was both a blessing and a curse to see him more mature, as the danger of his training as a ninja was in jeopardy. He continued his life as a ninja like his family wanted, even showing a good sign of progression. Still, he is being held back by his increasing attitude of hate toward his back and he continues to fight against the conventions of the modern ninja world._________________________________ Primary Element

_________________________________ Yokoshima Clan
The Yokoshima clan was a very minor clan that lived in the Land of Fire country since its creation. They were originally outside the village, living in isolation near a volcano in the southwestern portion of the country. Eventually, they started to spread their establishment, mainly in reaction to the ninja wars that were occurring throughout the land. Upholding the very symbol of the fire element, they helped win many battles with their extraordinary abilities, washing away many enemies with their breath of innate fire. And then one day, their were accomplishments were overshadowed by the introduction of the Uchiha's most powerful fire attack, the Amaterasu. In the beginning, they were already rivals with the Uchiha mainly due to their proficiency in fire. It was only more disadvantage by the fact that the Uchiha had the sharingan, considered a high tier ability already. To have their efforts as the most powerful fire wielders become obsolete by the powers of this clan, the Yokoshima went back into seclusion after the war, deciding that they were not needed with an already more superior clan.
And then the day the Uchiha were wiped out was the day the Yokoshima saw their chance to reclaim the title they once had. Though they did not laugh at the coincidence of the clan's destruction, hey found it as an opportunity they had to grab for if they were to reinstate themselves as the fire champions of the ninja world. And thus, they set up their clan within Konoha and began to contribute their efforts to assisting the village in its endevours. To this day, they continue to try to rise the ladder of clan popularity in hopes of becoming just as famous, if not more, than the previous Uchiha clan.
Secretly, the Yokoshima clan dreads the existence of Sasuke Uchiha, and hopes that because of his abandoning of the village that he soon has his life come to an end to end the future threat of the Uchiha rising once again.
Powers
The Yokoshima clan's founders were Saandora Yokoshima and Minato Yokoshima, wife and husband respectively who showcased their superior fire abilities during the starting days of the Land of Fire. The story behind the clan's innate fire abilities was that Saandora was a fire elemental of some sort that Minato had met and soon was taught how to wield the true power of fire. They fell in love and eventually wed. The woman's skin was described as "vibrantly a mix between gold and bronze," and that "her eyes were as beautiful as the sparkling texture of a ruby." It was from these two that children were spawn, who then had their own children, slowly building up this Yokoshima family. They eventually decided to become an official clan and offer their services to the land they lived in in order to both protect their home and grow their prestige.
Due to this background, all Yokoshima are born with an affinity with fire in addition to being able to produce it from their body. This gives them near immunity with heat and fire, and makes the learning of fire jutsu much more easier. Without having to form handseals, a Yokoshima can just spout fire from their body and attempt to burn whoever touches it. They have the ability to decrease and rise the heat potential of the fire, so can make it as harmless as air to the ferocity of a building fire. In addition, executing jutsu of the fire element requires half the number of handseals as before, since the fire portion of the jutsu is naturally accommodated by their kekkei genkai, thus they can get them off much quicker.
Naturally, water is the Yokoshima's weakness. Getting wet will weaknen the fire that the clan member uses for a limited time, depending on how wet they get. The reason why Yokoshima need little water to live off of is because their bodies are mildly different from a human's. Water, though essential, is not required, as their blood and the inner fire of their bodies tend to replace the need for water's services in a normal body. Intaking water, also, has the opposite effect of further subduing a Yokoshima's abilities and making it even harder to try to use any fire abilities. A Yokoshima who just nearly drowned with water in his lungs won't be using fire techniques from their mouth for a good few minutes.Jutsu and Skills

Ninjutsu Katon Goukakyuu no Jutsu (Fire Element; Grand Fireball)
Level: Genin
Type: Ninjutsu
The user pours chakra into their lungs as they take a deep breath. However only a portion of the chakra and air mixture is exhaled, and as the flame is formed before them, the user exhales the rest of his chakra into the already formed flame, causing the flame to expand in size and push the now giant flame forward further and faster.
Hand Fireball
Level: Genin
Type: Ninjutsu/ Clan
Opening one's palm, the user can spawn a small baseball sized ball of fire. They can then chuck them at someone as if it held the weight of a baseball, though the level of damage is distributed between the fire portion of the attack and the physical portion, thus it would only hurt half as much, but have the potential to alight a small part of the area it hits on fire. This jutsu requires no handseals if the Fire Aura jutsu is active.
Heat Vision
Level: Genin
Type: Ninjutsu/ Clan
The user's eyes will glow brightly, allowing them to pick out heat signatures in the environment. Their vision takes on the hot and cold hue blur vision one sees in normal heat vision goggles, so seeing things clearly is diminished as a result.
Taijutsu Genjutsu Chakra Control Kawarimi No Jutsu, Bunshin No Jutsu, Henge No Jutsu Kekkei Genkai (Clan Specialty)
Katon Reiki! (Fire Aura!)
Level: Chuunin
Type: Ninjutsu
The Yokoshima releases the inner energy of their innate fire, creating an aura of fire that surrounds their body. This aura acts for both offensive and defensive reasons, though it's mainly an offense. Offensively, this aura gives a ready source of fire for the user to draw from, allowing them an even easier time to execute fire jutsu than ever before, skipping the "create fire" phases that usually come from their jutsu. The user can create use up to three genin level fire jutsu, or one chuunin level jutsu before they have to respawn a new aura of fire, which naturally is decreasing their chakra supply. In addition, using any taijutsu attacks will allow the user to inflict fire damage against anything they hit with their body. Defensively, anyone who gets close to the user will suffer mild burns, as if putting your hand over a campfire. The aura can be expanded from the body up to a range of three feet, but the more it is increased, the more chakra that's used up. This effect is mainly used to create a burst of flames. It will take one Genin level water jutsu to douse the flames, and another one to soak the Yokoshima, thus disallowing them to use any fire jutsu temporarily. A chuunin level and higher water jutsu will instantly remove the aura AND give this temporary negation to their abilities.

Expandable Baton - Toravisu carries around this baton in the back of his pants. When he wants to use it, he'll whip it out and use the full extended 2 ft length to do the damage he wants. The baton is fire resistant.
Armor Fire Resistant Clothing - Though not physical armor like a steel plate or leather vest, the clothing is fire resistant in order to not burn off when the user is engulfed in flames.
Accessories Tinted Shades - The yellow tinted shades are fire resistant. In addition, they halve the effects of blinding light.

There are a few things that are wrong with this profile.
1. You mis-categorized your ninjutsu. The Grand Fireball Technique is actually a Chuunin level ninjutsu (C-Rank), and can be put down as your chuunin level ninjutsu. However, the Fire Dragon Flame Projectile is a Jounin ranked (B-Rank) ninjutsu, and will not be allowed until you graduate to the level of Chuunin, and even then it may be disallowed for training purposes.
2. Your first Kekkei Genkai is not actually a Kekkei Genkai, just another ninjutsu as you stated. It could be made to be your own technique, because its power level isn't exactly above genin level, and can be your own custom learned jutsu. You would have to get rid of the fire aura completely, as engulfing yourself in flames is more overpowered than a donkey on MONSTERSTEROIDS.
Heat vision, if you get rid of the ninjutsu classification, can become your Kekkei Genkai however. It's fair, and very useful.

The grand fireball was actually listed as a C rank from my sources, at least back then, which could be Genin or Chuunin level. Naturally, my version is Genin level and thus will keep to that. Sasuke was able to use this jutsu, especially with him not yet at the proficient level above a Genin, despite his Sharingan.
And I do not want a doujutsu to be the Yokoshima Kekkei Genkai. Oh man, kill me if it does. Just because the jutsu affects the eyes doesn't mean it's part of the kekkei genkai. It's just a technique the clan developed to make use of their heat-themed abilities, and there are higher versions that make seeing clearer as the technique is trained. But it's by no means meant to be a superior eye jutsu that can see things slower or see practically around them. That's the last thing I want.
The fire aura isn't meant much as an attack. It's basically how a Yokoshima prepares themselves for battle and in getting their body ready to use fire techniques. I admit, Toravisu has been spawning his fire from his body like Pyro prior to making this profile, which is kind of a key aspect to his character. I'll replace the fire breathing jutsu with a jutsu version of the fire aura, since it's not really required.
And I see what you mean by the first jutsu not being a Kekkei Genkai. I was mainly trying to seperate the jutsu you learn from the clan from the jutsu you get elsewhere.

What you can do, something that I've felt fine doing, is add an additional field underneath your jutsu to specify that it is a 'clan jutsu'. I think it would look better having the Heat Vision up with the rest of your Ninjutsu, just because when you get to a higher level, it's going to be difficult to keep a 'counter' on the number of Gennin/Chuunin/Jounin/Kage ranked jutsu you have if they are displaced all over the page.

I can't help but feel like there's a bit of bias in your statement about the grand fireball, Shikamaru. In the examples we were given, surrounding your hand in fire was a genin-level jutsu and throwing the flame was a chuunin-level jutsu. Being able to gather flame through your breath and launch it? That should be at least chuunin jutsu.
Extrapolating from that...surrounding your body in flames? Even if it is "basically how a Yokoshima prepares themselves for battle," you're still surrounded in flames, meaning all physical attacks are pretty much null and void unless you choose to expend the supply through attacking, which...why would you? It's the perfect defense, and additionally increases your attack capacity.
I feel your Sasuke argument is invalid--Sasuke is a clearly overpowered character in the series, a prodigy from birth, and is therefore by no means a reasonable benchmark to whom our genin characters can be compared. The Yokoshima clan section in general seems very much to be "I want to be Sasuke, but I'm not allowed to, so I'm going to make a mirror of the Uchiha clan and hate Sasuke so that people don't discount me as a fanboy." I know because I've done it.
Fire is probably the trickiest element to balance because it, unlike the others, is raw energy. Just it's state of being is harmful. It doesn't need to be manipulated, it can just sit there and burn and all who touch it will be damaged. Traditionally, Fire is balanced by the fact that it takes large amounts of energy and training to harness it, but your setup takes that away and makes this character very overpowered.

@Faustina: Being able to create an element from one's mouth isn't hard in the naruto verse. It's being able to do it without injuring your internal organs is where the true skill comes from. Many element jutsu originate from the mouth, mostly the wind, water, and fire jutsu due to their fluid nature that breathing mimics. To be able to release fire from one's mouth is as simple as breathing out, with chakra control mixed in. Because the Yokoshima clan are clearly born with the fire element inside them, literally, doing this technique isn't even hard for them.
I turned the flame aura thing into an actual jutsu, that way it's more of an active skill than something passive. I mentioned in the jutsu above that a person will get mild degree burns if they touch him. That means it won't be as harsh as real flames, but it's still a defensive and offensive mechanism produced by their body. I mentioned that the aura is entirely offensive and is meant for the character to be able to exert their ability onto whatever they touch because that is what the clan is based on. This skill is hardly a perfect anything, especially considering it burns energy fast, much like you mentioned fire does anyway, and I agree. That is why Yokoshima, at least the aggressive ones like Toravisu, aim to try to take out their enemies as fast as possible before they exhaust.
I mentioned Sasuke because even though he is a prodigy, during the early parts of the exam, he wasn't as powerful as any other Genin. It was only when he learned Chidori that he began to show an exalted status. However, his level is also a good benchmark to show just how skilled the Yokoshima clan are at using fire anyway. It's a gift to them. The one thing I said was that I don't want to be anything like the uchiha clan, though I threw in a history of the clan disliking the Uchiha to add some flavor and mixture of canon and original creations. But I didn't create this clan with the Uchiha in mind. I created it to create a clan that embodies the true element that the Land of Fire represents: fire itself. Their main focus IS fire, and as a result, their weakness is naturally water. I listed this as well in the clan's description. Throw them in the rain and their powers are weakened, depending on the intensity of the rain. Use water jutsu against them, and no more fire techniques from a Yokoshima. That's why it isn't overpowered. Trust me, once people start using his weakness against him, it's actually going to feel pretty sad to see that just some water will quickly destroy his aresenal. I sometimes feel like this is too big of a weakness, but I want to show that the specialty of the Yokoshima clan is real, from both its strengths and its weaknesses.
In summary:
Pros: -Tora is very good at using fire jutsu. -Can use fire jutsu fast and effectively. -High resistance to fire in general. -Need little water to survive.
Cons: -Uses up energy fast -Water will stop any use of fire jutsu

One of your main points is that he uses up his energy quickly, but it's been shown time and again in the world of RPing that a character's energy will manage to end exactly when it is convenient for the player. I'd love to see an 'energy bar', just to make sure that you don't abuse your abilities. Not that I outright think you would, but with characters like these, you can't be too careful. It's something I've suggested to just about every 'pure' elemental character that I have reviewed so far and this character is no exception.
For your jutsus:
I'd say your Grand Fireball is fine, simply because it looks to be almost identical to Shichiyou Kure-Ji's "Nine Mouths for No Cause: The Pheonix Wasn't Only Born Yesterday". Both of these techniques are Gennin rank and both seem to do approximately the same thing.
As for your Hand Fireball, from the description it appears to be a slightly modified version of the "Ash Flame: Ashen Glove Technique", an ability I invented approximately two years ago that has become somewhat of a staple among characters who play members of my Tamahome clan. Both of the techniques make something very hot around their hands and both of them are Gennin level. The only difference is that the Tamahome Clan traditionally has kept an 'ash bar' and the technique in the past has used a set amount of 'ashes' up. Thus my suggestion for you to keep a bar for yourself, such as maybe a 'heat gauge'.
Heat vision looks good, but I'd prefer it if you didn't go superman on us here. It's a pretty natural leap to go from seeing heat signatures to shooting heat out of your eyes, a leap that I would suggest you do not make for the sake of your character and roleplaying in general.

I think the energy bar would be a great application to represent the rapid energy loss. It would be very beneficial for you to have that, if only to keep yourself credible.
I still feel, however, that the water weakness is still pretty "min-max." That is, you have a magnificent affinity to Fire and its power at the price of water weakness which, while it may have drastic effects on your character...who actually uses water? And what about all the characters that don't? You pretty much make yourself inherently weak to Hotaru while maintaining a strong stance against everyone else.
Depending on the rapidity of energy loss, I feel the "charge bar" or whatever may greatly help with the rest of the balancing. I'd sooner say to lessen the severity of the water weakness and focus on the gauge versus having a mediocre gauge and mass water weakness.

I don't ever plan for Tora to shoot laser beams out of his eyes. As funny as that would be...
As for the energy showing, I really wish my chakra system was implemented, that way I can use number values to show how much chakra someone has left to use their jutsu from. It would do wonders for this system, yet people are afraid of math.
So I'll just apply the system to my character so I can show how much chakra he has and how much he uses per post/depending on the jutsu level.
In addition, I'll make water mainly weaken his usage over using fire techniques and fire in general. That way, it won't cut off all his abilities, but make his fire techniques nearly suckage.

If that's what works for you, then you should go for it. A lot of people are taking advantage of various types of 'energy bars' as a means of self limitation and I think it would be nice for you to be able to display your unique style in the chance that somebody else might wish to emulate it.
