To be honest, the dream was dark. There were differences in brightness all over the place, making the scene seem a lot like an apartment...but there was no true light. The "brightness" was distant and muted, like shining through a sheet...really, more of a glow. Auryn herself was wandering through these strange shapes...that really weren't so strange to her. She was dreaming she was in her home, Santana's apartment, looking for something. But she couldn't remember what it was she was looking for, or why...she just knew it was something important - or at least, that's what her dream told her. Wandering around, stumbling a bit...she felt all over with her hands, searching--


Pepper was moving through 'the void' on his routinely practice of the dream world. He had just recently learned the proper name for this place, but that was somehting he didn't want to acknowledge for the time being. Learning from Mr. Vampy wasn't exactly anything he treasured, especially when it turned out to be useful. He was padding through the darkness looking at the glowing spheres around him from time to time to see if there was anyone who he reconized. He slowed when he went past one particular sphere that seemed dim. It didn't show anything clearly , vauge colors and blurs. Blinking he stood before it his hand came out and touched the sphere lightly, it shimmered under the touch like a bubble ready to burst. if he so wanted he could make it harden...impossible to enter...and that included the wraiths and himself. Instead he willed himself into the dream the world expanded around him and he nearly panicked as he realized that his own form had taken a consistancy of world around him. A strange aura like being he became...he looked around examining his fingers and his body in general finding it really bizarre feeling. He was seeing things the way Auryn did, and it took him a couple moments to pin point the familarness of the dream to the girl. Looking around at the dim surrondings he was able to fumble around trying to figure out what exactly he was seeing.
"Auryn?"

Auryn paused suddenly in her search, little pointed ears perking as she heard a voice that sounded so familiar. Different, but still...she knew she'd heard that voice before. Where? It'd been such a long time...oh! Right! "Pepper!" Auryn squealed, clapping her hands together happily before rushing her way through the "familiar" halls of her dream. She stopped short, however, upon stumbling upon her long time friend from forever ago. He was...big again. "Pepper, why are you big? I thought you only did that at night time?" That certainly didn't make sense.--

Pepper felt the collision and he laughed as he reached out bilndly to grab ahold of Auryn's blurry glowing aura,
"I got bigger!" He explained though he felt like he was blind in this setting. "I am like this all the time now.." He explained though he was bigger than last they met he wasn't nearly as big as when he was transformed into a teen at night.
"Uhhgg...why is everything so..dark and..fuzzy! It is giving me a headache." He grumped as he located her wrist and finally latched onto it so he wouldn't lose her.


"Oh," Auryn cooed softly, nodding her head before throwing her arms around the now older boy in a tight hug. "I'm glad to see you!" she squealed again, standing on her tip toes to properly wrap her arms around the spawn. When he asked about the setting of the dream, little 'Ryn blinked and tilted her head curiously. "What are you talking about? Everything here looks fine." She was still in her head, in the dream...and since this is how her world *always* looked...well, nothing looked different to her at all. "We can go outside? Maybe some air will make you feel better?"--

Pepper soon realized she didn't know this was a dream. Going outside however could be anywhere in her vision. He found it rather perturbing and he hesistated in his reply. He was still working on controlling dreams...it made him tired in the mental sense.
"Uhh....well you see I don't see like you do...everything right now looks like..how you see things.." he tried to explain, he stared at his hand a moment trying to concentrate on the blurry aura and making it solid and sharp...it starteled him that for a moment it made his eyes hurt more at the sudden sharpness after so much blur. Slowly though his entire body became solid and he was his normal red skinned black streaked haired self. He shook his head and then ...took a step back..oh s**t. If Auryn saw him the other way was he going to scare her now??
"Wait wait! Please don't panic! This is me! Okay? " he said waving his hands trying to explain himself.


At the sudden sharpness in her vision, Auryn yelped and covered her eyes. She actually cringed back...she'd never. Ever. Seen things like this before. After a moment, she slowly...pulled her fingers away one by one. By this moment, Pepper was trying to assure her that everything was ok, but Auryn...she was speechless. She stood up straight, looking at Pepper with wide, wide eyes...seeing for the first time. "This...this is how....you look??" she stammered. Was this what color was? Was this...was this actual light? Reaching her fingers out, Auryn gasped and whimpered when she saw that her own body was still blurry and faded. "How? How'd you do that, Pepper?" Her eyes were pleading, nearly brimming with tears. "Show me? I wanna see me....like you see me. Please?"--


Pepper looked to her, and though it had been a while since he had seen her he could only summon the image of what she had looked like that last they had met. That included the clothes and her hair style.
Narrowing his eyes he took a deep breath and then made her come into focus. He panted a bit though he was smiling at the fact he managed it.
Reaching forward he took Auryn's hand into his own carefully and nuzzeled it. Happy she seemed to want him to do things for her.
"I...can control this place.." he explained slowly, "It takes a lot of work but...I could make you look anyway you wanted to...and show you anything you want too.."

Auryn was again speechless as she saw what her hand now looked like against Pepper's cheek, using the other hand to feel her hair, her outfit. "This hasn't fit me in forever," she said with a laugh, those tiny tears spilling from her eyes as she saw...she was seeing! She could see....everything. There were colors and not just brightness. She looked at Pepper again, and hugged him so tightly around the neck, he might have choked a bit. "Pepper...show me Ana? Show me Lit? I wanna see my family..." Her tiny voice wobbled as she tried to keep from out right sobbing.

Pepper did give a bit of a choking sound but he only relaxed and felt himself pulling her closer to him in a wanting gesture. He liked being near her, she smelt nice..or so he recalled. He could believe he could smell her now..
"I...I don't know Ana..." He murmured sounding a bit sad that he couldn't show her what she wanted to see the most...and when Lit's name was pulled up he frowned. Bringing others into a dream was hard...very hard. But she really wanted to see him so...he tried. A very blurry red shape appeared vaugely humanoid...though it became more in focus it looked like a horrible child like drawing of LIt.

Auryn tilted her head curiously, not quite sure if she understood what it was that Pepper was asking of her. Just bring him in? How was she supposed to do that?

Then, almost as she was thinking about it, a tall form began to appear much as Lit's little crayon sketch had appeared. Much taller, the aura glowed with a mixing light that didn't quite swirl the same way Pepper or Lit's did. Santana was in his most used form, the half-wolf, with tall white ears and a huge bushy tail.

"Wow," the little girl breathed, looking at the now fully materialized form. Bouncing on her feet, she turned to Pepper excitedly; "Like that??"

Auryn gasped softly as Santana changed with Pepper's influence, and she suddenly felt she was going to cry. Her family...so this is what they looked like? This is what the world looked like?

When Pepper nudged her, the younger spawn's attention was drawn back and she smiled, petting his head before she hugged her friend again. She could tell now that he was getting very tired, and kicked herself somewhat for not noticing it before.

"Thank you, Pepper. This is great. I've never seen the world like this before," she sighed, resting her head against whatever part of his body (presumably his shoulder) that was within resting reaching.

She rested against him, watching as the images of her family started to fade as they lost focus on the aspects of them. Looking at him when she spoke, she's take a good look at his face...memorizing it as she did everything else she was presented to learn.

"Everything," she answered, wrapping her arms around his neck and attempting to curl up on him; in his arms, on his lap...whatever "shelf" was available for her to climb onto. "I want to see everything."
