Sailor Nova.

Sailor Iris had only met her one time, but it was a pretty important day in the scout's life. It was the day that Ellie Spectre first became Sailor Iris. Thanks to Sailor Nerissa, Iris had learned what had happened with Sailor Nova. She had gone missing, and it was all the Negaverse's fault. She was going to stop them somehow. There was just one problem.

Sailor Iris had yet to encounter anything but Youma and other Sailor Scouts.

It was hard to look for an enemy you didn't know much about. The main thing that Sailor Iris knew was that the Negaverse controlled the Youma that had been rampaging through Destiny City.

I made a promise she thought to herself as she walked through the junkyard. The Senshi of Rainbows hardly lived up to the girly-aspect of her element and preferred patrolling places that she was familiar with, such as the junk yard. Her golden eyes were doing most of the work, glancing around the piles of trash for any hint of a fallen senshi that might have been discarded. Had she thought about the fact that maybe she should search somewhere other than the places she was familiar with? Not really, but her lack of success was starting to sway her into maybe straying from her usual path.

Even though nobody was around, she muttered out "Maybe I should head towards downtown?" Shrugging her shoulders, she turned towards less smelly portion of the city and began to casually make her way in that direction. For being so concerned, she didn't seem to be in any rush.

What a lovely evening for killing stupid teenagers.

Tanzanite had found the young man rifling through the junkyard in search of... well, she hadn't bothered to ask. She hadn't thought to question his reasons before she looped the length of her jumper cables around his throat and choked the consciousness out of him. Nor had she bothered to ask in the brief moment in which he awoke, a brief moment she allowed only so that she could experience the thrill of seeing his eyes widen in fear, his entire body tense with terror as she ripped his star seed from his body.

It pulsated, warm and full of life in the palm of her hand. With the soon-to-be corpse at her feet, safely and silently tucked away within a small niche of the junkyard, she almost missed the barely audible voice.

"Maybe I should head towards downtown?"

Tanzanite closed her fist around her prize, pressing herself back against the wall of compacted cars and old appliances as she peeked around the corner. What met her gaze made her heart skip a beat, her entire body practically tingling with a thrill of excitement that she hadn't felt since she'd stood beside Nova only a few days prior. Never had she been so confident in the power of the Negaverse as she had when she witnessed the corrupted senshi unleashing her wrath. With such power on their side, how could they lose?

And what luck! What fortune that she should find yet another subject in her private little hunting grounds. Yet another victim upon which she could test her own strength.

The Lieutenant didn't bother to restrain the hollow, mirthless laughter as it tore from her throat, calling upon the power of the Negaverse to vault herself up to the top of the closest car pile. With her cables gripped tightly, drawn taut between her fists, Tanzanite made her presence known.

“I wouldn't recommend it,” she forced the conversational tone with a grin that was nothing short of malicious, “I hear traffic at this hour is such a b***h.”

There had been little to no worries in the girl's mind as she meandered past familiar bulges of half broken machines, various pieces of paper-waste, and half eaten decomposing food. For her, it was like a walk in the park.

However, the screech of some chick's voice reached her ears. In itself, that was a sudden wake-up call, causing her to stop in place and jerk to face the source. It was more or less a surprise to find anybody in the vicinity at this time, let alone some girl on a pile of cars. Squinting her eyes a bit as she looked up, she could make out a girl in a very skimpy outfit, complete with a short skirt and long, suggestive boots.

Having as much tact as a teenage boy, Sailor Iris simply asked "...So... are ya a slut or prostitute or somethin'? A cheap prostitute, since there ain't much out 'ere?"

Oh, if only she knew the trouble she was about to get herself in from that innocent question.

Tanzanite found it difficult to be offended by someone so meaningless, and so the only response she could muster up was the continuation of that terrible grin. She licked her lips, the emotionless facade tossed aside to display her unrestrained joy at the situation she'd found herself in.

“How... predictable.” she murmured, her smile unfading. It seemed to be the go-to insult, to pick on her choice of attire. After several of such encounters, Tanzanite was begin to find the repetitive insults trite and boring. How she would kill for a unique, snappy comeback rather than some meaningless observation that she was, in fact, dressed like some kind of fetish dominatrix. <******** all of those haters, her boots were amazing.

“Oh, how precious,” she said, her voice as soft and teasing as that of the call girl Iris suggested she might be, “You seem so bored down there, and I do so hate to think I'm boring you.” Tanzanite paused, opening her palm to allow the stolen star seed to float just above it. It glimmered in the dim light, glowing with the life of the body that lay unconscious in the junkyard's shadows. “Perhaps we should play a game.”

Tanzanite smiled down at the girl, one hand gesturing to the small nook where the unfortunate boy's body lay. Wrong time, wrong place. An unfortunate victim of circumstance. Then again, weren't they all?

“To your left, in those shadows, is a body. A living, breathing body. And here...” she paused, admiring the shining bit of life force that floated above her fingertips, “Is his star seed. You keep me away from that body for a meager ten minutes, and I let the both of you go. No harm, no foul. You can scamper back to your meaningless little life as the hero you girls so desperately wish you were. And if you can't...”

The Lieutenant closed her palm around the star seed again, “If you can't, I snuff out his life.”

“And then... I take yours.”

Wow, this chick certainly talked out of her a**. Sailor Iris didn't even seem really interested in anything being said until this girl held something out. It definitely wasn't your common little doohickey. No ordinary person would have one of those at hand, and it definitely wasn't some "MUST HAVE" piece of technology, like an iPod or something.

Sailor Iris' attention was on this dark-haired girl whose hair outdid her own in the untamed department. It was only when the words "star" and "seed" were mentioned that the whole thing finally clicked for her.

"Oh!" she bellowed out. "Yer one of those Negaverse people!" She somehow found it funny and started laughing a bit. It wasn't a nervous laugh, but rather the laugh of someone who truly found something funny in such a situation. If she laughed any harder, she might have found some tears at her eyes. It took her a moment to regain her composure, but when she did, she apologized of all things.

"Sorry kiddo! First time meetin' one of ya! Sh*t, I bet I looked stupid!" One more chuckle, then she finally addressed the deal at the table.

"Anyways, how do I put this..... I don't play games, 'specially not with crazy a** psycho b*tches!" She grinned a cheeky little grin after this statement.

((OOC note: I didn't know how tall Tanzanite is, but I'd like to know, because it will alter how Iris acts towards her ;O ))

“I'm afraid you've misunderstood me. I'm not giving you a choice.” The Lieutenant said cooly. The girl's insolent laughter made Tanzanite's blood boil; it was a show of disrespect which she would make the girl pay for. Preferably by skinning her alive and leaving her body hanging from the flagpole of the nearest High School. Or slitting her throat and leaving her in the park for another self-righteous senshi harlot to stumble across. She was practically dizzy with the thrill of so many possible ways to dispose of the woman after she'd torn out her star seed.

Tanzanite stepped forward, dropping off of the edge of the car pile and landing in a low crouch several feet away from the mouthy teenager. Her movements were graceful, fluid, the type of motion that came from years of obsessive dance practice. As she stood, it would become apparent that she was unusually tall for a woman; six feet of natural height, and an extra five inches added by those stiletto heels. Tanzanite towered over the average woman, but was surprised to find this one closer to her own height than most.

“Well then, I do hope I'll live up to your expectations for us,” she murmured, smiling faintly as she began striding off to Iris' left. She strode with confidence, not edging around Iris as some might. Tanzanite was not the type to skirt her enemy. As promised, she would go to finish off the boy first. Whether Iris attempted to stop her or not, Tanzanite didn't really care. If she did, she welcomed the fight. If not, she would enjoy an easy kill before turning her murderous sights on Iris.

“Fight or run, child. You'll have to do one of the two eventually."

When this nameless chick jumped off the pile of cars and landed nearby, she couldn't help but notice the chick's height. Sailor Iris had a little bit of extra height thanks to her boots, but even with the atrocious heels on the back of her shoes, she was still a few inches shorter than Ms. Negaverse chick. Did a few inches make much of a difference to her? Not really.

"Seein' as I 'ad expectations of th'Negaverse people bein' ... about as beautiful as their Youma, I'd say y'met the expectations with flyin' colors!" In reality, there were no expectations on her part, so she really didn't know what to expect. Her golden eyes followed along this dark haired girl as she began to head in the direction of the victim she had spoken of earlier. If there was one thing for certain, Sailor Iris knew that whatever this Negaverse b*tch was planning, it was going to be bad. With all that gloating of killing this poor guy, she suspected she needed to interfere somehow.

Her fist tightened up and began to glow for a moment before something fluttered out from her clenched fingers. "I think it's time t'make ya see some new colors, Negab*tch! Iris Rainbow Ribbon!" The Sailor Scout's body tensed up as she flung a rainbow in this baddie's direction, aiming to grab one of her opponent's legs and maybe cause her to trip.

If one had to make a list of pro and cons to being a senshi, then having to have some sort of silly mantra or magical chant for every attack or transformation surely had to be at the very top. It was like a warning label, along with the girls glowing fist, that practically screamed 'Look at me, look at me! I'm preparing to attack.' With such a disadvantage, Tanzanite had to wonder how these girls had been beating them thus far. Either her fellow Lieutenants were utterly incompetent, or it was simply a consequence of numbers alone.

No matter, having Nova on their side would surely even the odds. Confident as Tanzanite was in her own abilities, even she wouldn't dare go up against someone like Nova. The woman was a bomb simply waiting to go off.

These girls were so... predictable. Threaten an 'innocent' life, and they came running like moths to a flame. They might talk big, but so many of them would risk their lives in defense of their simple-minded ideals, pretending to know they true definition of right and wrong while they ran around battling 'evil'. It was with a repeat of the cool, mirthless laugh that Tanzanite launched herself into the air – too slow.

The ribbon snared around one ankle, nearly bringing Tanzanite to her knees upon the dirty asphalt and stealing away the advantage of the Negaverse Lieutenant's flea-like jumping. She did well to keep a snarl from reaching her features, only regarding the senshi with cool disgust as she quickly recovered.

“Ha!” Tanzanite verbalized her disdain for the senshi as she launched herself towards Iris. After all, trying to move away would do little good with that ribbon around her ankle; the better option was to close the gap between them, possibly make her lose focus, and free herself when the opportunity presented itself. Gripping the jumper cables in the center, the heavy metal clamps dangling free at one end, Tanzanite closed the small gap between them.

If she managed to get close enough, Tanzanite would swing the cable like a bat, hoping to make contact between the metal clamps and the side of Iris' skull.

“Stupid girl, shut up and burn.”

It was unfortunate that her opponent had a well thinking brain. Sailor Iris was quite the opposite and relied solely on instinct to get things done. Initially, when the girl had been snagged by the ribbon, she couldn't help but feel confident that this would end like a Youma battle. She began to pull at the ribbon tightly, in hopes of maybe burning through whatever material the boots were made of before her ribbon disappeared. Too bad it wasn't made of jello, otherwise the job would have already been done. She had learned a while back thanks to a minotaur Youma that flesh took a lot more work to slice through with her ribbon.

Then the Negaverser did something she wasn't expecting. She started getting closer rather than struggle to get out. As she came closer and closer, Sailor Iris had to make certain to to keep her ribbon taut. It was curious, but she she paid it no mind.

That is, until too late. The dark-haired girl had something that she flung at Sailor Iris, though the scout hadn't quite gotten a good look at it. Given maybe half a second to really react, she shifted her position slightly enough to prevent the blow to the head and turned it into a harsh blow to the upper arm.

And MAN did that hurt like a b*tch! The force in itself was enough to cause her rainbow ribbon to fade out, leaving the baddie able to move around as she pleased again. However, Sailor Iris was made of more than most girls. No shrieks of pain, no whining, all she let out was a muffled grunt. Her friends wouldn't accept such wussy acts, and quite frankly, she wouldn't accept it either. With a deep throaty "HCCCCCCCCHHHHH!!!!" she spat out to the side a big gob of spit.

"'S all ya got?" she heckled as she lifted her arms up and took a more offensive stance.

Disgusting.

The corners of Tanzanite's lips twitched slightly, desperate to turn in and expression of complete revulsion as the girl spat off to the side. She kept her features apathetic only by sheer force of will, her gray eyes rolling skywards for a brief moment. Really, these girls were just a grab bag of bad manners, terrible catch phrases, and utterly ridiculous costumes. (What do you mean Tanzanite is in no position to comment on ridiculous costumes? That is an absolutely absurd idea and I am deeply offended by the very notion!)

“All I've got? Oh no, pet. Not even close.” Tanzanite taunted in return, punctuating the comment with a quiet laugh.

Like some kind of super powered Negaflea, she launched herself straight up into the air. It was an ability which all of her fellow Lieutenant's possessed, but she hoped that being the first true Negaverse agent Iris had faced, the move would catch the girl by surprise. She would land only a few feet away, that cable already in full swing again. This time it was held at one end, hoping that the momentum would wrap the remainder of her cord around Iris' legs, enabling Tanzanite to yank them out from under her. If she could just get her to the ground, kicking the absolute crap out of her would be more than enough payment for the insolent laughter.

If Tanzanite had it her way, she would beat the girl to a pulp, kill the unconscious boy right in front of her, and leave her battered body in the front lawn of Meadowview High School for one of her comrades to find. One senshi starseed was a pathetic prize when compared the terror that such a display would spread through their ranks like wildfire.

For the moment, Sailor Iris was concentrating on the fight. Not rushing into the whole thing headfirst, despite the fact her brain was half going "GO IN AND END IT NOW!", she was watching this girl's movements. As a civilian, she had won many a fight with guys, but that was because most had reserves about beating up a girl. Girls were a different story. Occasionally she'd meet a girl that wanted to duke things out, and in such cases, she tended to only win when she ignored her primal instinct to just rush in and deal with it.

Keeping her eyes on the enemy, she couldn't help feel like this girl should be on a basketball team of sorts when she jumped up high into the air with such poise. Even such, her eyes never left the girl. Until something came hurtling her way. If she had maybe 2 seconds more, she would have had the proper amount of time to react and to dodge the attack.

Such was not the case as her ankle felt the cool metal cable against her left leg. Copycat! she thought for that split second she was still standing before she was tugged onto the ground. Where as many girls would have fell and landed in some helpless position, Sailor Iris cushioned the landing a bit with her arms. Where as many girls would have stayed down while they attempted to recompose themselves, Sailor Iris pushed herself back up. Her gloves were filthy, and she now had a scrape on her right knee, but her fighting spirit wasn't beat down. She knew what was coming, it happened in nearly every fight. Beat them up while their down.

Tanzanite wasn't a woman who wasted time talking once the fighting had started. Far too many a villain had fallen prey to the insatiable urge to talk s**t mid-battle, and it almost always ended poorly. Given enough time, the hero would likely escape, get rescued, or find a way to defeat whatever ultimate evil they were up against. Slitting their throat while they slept was far more effective than leaving them in a Rancor pit and then walking away like you just [i[knew how that s**t was going to go down. However much contempt she might have for the senshi, they were a threat. Thus, the Negaverse couldn't afford to have any small, unguarded exhaust vents into which these bitches could fly their X-wings and decimate their Deathstar with a well placed proton torpedo.

She didn't waste time as Iris pushed herself up; the girl was smart, she had to grant her that much. She knew how to land so that she could spring back to her feet, and she didn't waste time lying on her face like some prissy b***h. The challenge brought a wide grin to Tanzanite's face, and it wasn't more than half a second after Iris stood that Tanzanite launched herself at the other woman. There was no time for recovery, talking, taunting, or anything of the sort; it was time to get down and dirty. Her objective was clear: beat this woman until she couldn't move, even if it meant breaking both of her legs.

If Iris was unable to dodge out of the way, Tanzanite would collide with her stomach, aiming to drive her back into the closest pile of cars. All she needed was one opening, one second during which she could wrap those cables around the senshi's throat and get behind her. If she could incapacitate her, she could finish off the boy first and then choke the senshi harlot into unconsciousness.

Half a second was not even remotely enough time to really react. Sailor Iris felt a rather blunt pain in her gut as this dark haired villain got her good in the stomach. She gave out a good and loud grunt, but solely for the purpose of easing the pain and ensuring she didn't get knocked out with that one good hit.

Two seconds after the first pain in her stomach, came a second pain against her back as she collided with a car door. For any normal person, this might not have been as bad as it seemed, but for Sailor Iris, the pain was at least triple, due to a previous encounter with a Youma messing up her back quite a bit. She could feel the pain all the way down the back or her knees stretching all the way up to the back of her head. Her eyes watered a bit, but being the type to refuse to cry, she merely snarled in this girl's direction.

It was a waste of time. The thick metal cables quickly were forced around her throat and began to pull back. The blonde could feel that her air intake had been greatly restricted. She could have acted like a panicked animal, struggling to get her sweet, SWEET air back. Yet, Sailor Iris did the opposite. She didn't struggle and just took it for now. If she struggled, she'd be using more oxygen. Her face began to turn a deep crimson color. Yet, she had one last option left to her.

She attempted to hide her hand, placing it on the opposite side of her body from that which this dark-haired girl was standing. She tightened her hand into a fist, which began to glow once again.

I hope this works... never done it like this before... she thought in a mildly panicked fashion, hoping her concern wasn't all that evident. This had gone from an easy night of scouting to a fight for survival. Instinct could no longer win in this case. She needed her brain now to live.
PostPosted: Sun Nov 08, 2009 11:28 am

This senshi was utterly unpredictable, a fact that unsettled Tanzanite in a way not many things could. Her strategies often relied on the typical responses; struggling, fighting, begging. She relied on knowing how people would react and using that knowledge to her advantage. Iris did none of these, making her job that much more difficult. Still, she was close. She was so very, very close.

With the taste of victory so close at hand, Tanzanite was not about to let up. She needed this. The Negaverse needed this. She pulled hard on those cables, reaching up to try and wrap them around the twisted bits of metal frame in the car pile. The objective was not to kill the senshi – oh no, that would be far too simple. One senshi was nothing. Tanzanite aimed to tie the cables off just high enough the Iris would be forced to stand on her tip-toes just to keep herself from hanging. She wanted to tie them off just out of reach, leaving Iris at her mercy long enough so that she could finish the boy off while the woman was still alive.

Caught up in the difficulty of that task, Tanzanite did not notice the girls glowing fist, mistaking the look of panic in her eyes as simple fear of death. She reveled in that expression, savored the concern in her eyes. She mistook it for fear, and in her arrogance basked in the glory of it.

The tiptoes of her boots were helping Sailor Iris keep a larger airflow to her, but it wasn't helping much. Her face was still growing redder as the lack of oxygen began to take its toll. From her fist, a rainbow fluttered out loosely. Her fist clenched down, and with one finger, she gestured towards her captor. Normally, she relied on her whole arm to throw the rainbow at her opponent, but this time she was hoping through sheer willpower, she could guide this attack at her opponent.

With a wheezing gasp, she uttered out quietly "Iris......Rainbow.... R-ribbon!...."

In response, the ribbon snaked it's way behind the dark-haired girl and around her neck in a similar fashion to how Sailor Iris was being strangled. It would have been a fight of who could strangle the other faster if it weren't for one thing. The rainbow was made of a rather hot light. One a couple occasions, Sailor Iris had defeated Youma by just slicing through their slime-like bodies. Only on one occasion had she fought a fully fleshed-out Youma complete with muscle and bones, and that one took a lot of work to defeat because she had to pull really hard to get the ribbon to slice.

Either way, if the ribbon stayed around her opponent's neck too long, it might leave a nice burn. Sailor Iris grinned slightly as her finger continued to point. At least I went down fighting she thought, figuring her attempts were futile.
