I'm in the middle of my studies for Wicca/Samhain and came across this threatening looking ritual. It's apparently listed under "Black Magic" and I would like to know where the boundary line is for magic and when comes to the point when it's dangerous. I would like to also understand what separates black magic from other kinds. BewareOh, and here's this ritual. I get a sick feeling when I look upon this "thing".

The Necronomicon is a work of fiction. Not sure how it came up in your researching Wicca, since it has nothing to do with Wicca either.
Magic is really colorless, it is neither black, nor white (or green, blue, yellow, etc.. for that matter). What matters is the intent of the person who is using said magic.
If this were being used for real (and I really don't recommend it), it would really depend on exactly how it was being used. It is customary to ask permission before doing magic on another person, but again it is dependent on the situation. There is nothing within Wicca (or Wicca-inspired eclectic neo-paganism) specifically that says you can't use magic to harm others. Even the Rede is only advice, and it only tells us "an' it harm none" is acceptable. It doesn't actually tell us anything about what is not acceptable. So as long as one has properly thought out all the possible results of one's actions, and is willing to accept any possible consequences, then one is free to do whatever one chooses. Yes, there is the Three-fold Law, but again if one is willing to accept the consequences, then there is nothing that says you can't. Truth is that one could cause harm with a healing spell, if they really wanted to.
Any kind of magic can be dangerous if one doesn't know what one is doing, often spells will manifest themselves in ways that we never expected, which is why each situation should be carefully considered before resorting to magical means.

Wrong link.... redface here it is for real this time: Evil. I advise you don't attempt this at home, or anywhere for that matter.

Ugh, that spell gave me a gross feeling. Anyways, I agree with sweetheart on this one. There's really no such thing as "black magick", it's all the intent. You could use this spell to fight off sickness or something. A spell turns "black" (though I prefer just to call it harmful razz ) when you use it to harm someone. And screw whatever you read about, the spell is still likely to work if it harms people, it just produces a karmic backlash as described in the law of three. (sometimes even I like using fancy speech ^_^) Good luck in your studies, and I hope this helped. ~Kai

While it's not something I would do, there are plenty of witches that have no problem cursing if they feel the situation warrants it. I wouldn't necessarily call it "evil" though, again it would really depend on the situation.
The title of the spell really says it all... it's a warning. The spell itself (though it all sounds awful), really doesn't actually direct anything at anyone, it simply says if you don't stop "********" with me, then I will take action (at which time things are going to start going very badly for you).
If you look at the site it's on though, it looks to be more of a "Satanism" based witchcraft, so if that's not something that you are interested in, then there is really no need to be looking at it. What that particular groups seems to be into, has nothing what so ever to do with Wicca (or Wicca inspired eclectic neo-paganism).

Just kidding xd but as for the second article, it just sounds like a bunch a people want to wreak there unholy vengeance. When the karma comes back around this will be funny. which is exactly why I tend to only use magick for healing, whats the worst that could happen when I send out only healing energies. *braces self for impact of own wrongness* _________________________ part 2, after looking at the site i found I knew a lot about demons from Castlevania xd
