Cody waited patiently as his mother signed him up for a game of laser tag, seemingly in hopes of calming him down. Ever since she had brought him home from the circus (that had been a terrible experience) and the facility after his parent meeting, he had been rather uncontrollable. It was as if his mind had been split and each side was battling for control.

"Alright, everything has been set up. If you would please go through that door, someone will come by and begin explaining the rules and start the game. Have fun," the clerk said boredly, waving to the purple door on the wall with a giant sign labeled "Laser Tag Start Room".

Cody sighed and removed himself from the wall and grumpily entered. His first thought was that there was a nice sized group of normal children. His second, well, that everything white seemed to stand out far more than it should. It made him snicker a little at how brightly some of their shirts glowed. At least he was wearing a dark green one and dark pants after what Ary had said about black lights making light things glow. Guess she was right.

Cody snuck around the playing field, avoiding the various obstacles with ease as he made his way around and blasted whomever came by. Then, something bright and slightly purple caught his eye. Not to mention the fact that it was floating and attached to a toddler with a tail. Slowly, he made his way over to her, noticing other various oddities about her. None of which seemed the least bit normal like the spots of teal on her skin.

"Woah..." he muttered, glad she was at least on the same team as him and thus able to get near her without being fired at. He definitely didn't want to have to run all the way back to the base and do whatever else he had to do to get back into the game. A light flickered nearby, darkening the room a bit and allowing the soft purple glow to stand out even more than usual. It was fairly pretty to look at, finding it a bit mesmerizing as well.

"Hey, I'm Cody. Who're you and what is that?" he asked, pointing at the glowing dangly thing the toddler had. Turning suddenly, he fired his "gun" at another child that had snuck close. A soft explosion sound echoed from their "armor", signaling the hit. Ah, getting a little bolder now, eh? Well, no one was going to sneak up on HIM and catch him unawares! Uh-uh, no way.

Cody stared at the thing Tally called a dangly. "Huh... It's pretty cool looking, that's for sure," he muttered, gently poking at it. He sort of wished he had one, just because it was so cool looking.

"Hm? Oh, sorry. Didn' want them t' get me out," the spawn replied, giving her a sheepish smile. "Can help you find others if you want," he added, anxious to get started again. Strangely enough, by focusing on the game his mind strayed from the subject about his deceased DNA parent.

"Oh, you from Seven of Seven too? Curious," the spawn questioned, looking around as he heard soft footsteps nearby. Someone was attempting a sneak attack, it seemed.

Cody barely had time to speak before Tally's antenna flashed and partially blinded him. Blinking rapidly, the spawn stared at the toddler in front of him in surprise. "Sure, let's go," he managed to reply once he overcame his shock.

"I think we will make a good team," he replied before adjusting his mindset back into stealth mode, as he would call it. Guess being part greed had its advantages in a game like laser tag, as well as whatever Tally was that gave her the little antenna-thing he was oh so fond of now.

Cody glanced at Tally as she latched onto him. It was strange having her hovering close to him like she was now. "Wait, they'll come to us. Fire when I give the signal," he muttered and backed up into the shadows of one of the large pillars that filled the room. They didn't have to wait long before a couple of kids wandered by, searching rather blindly for others.

"Now," the spawn whispered, firing his gun at the targets as they came into view and right in their line of view. The one he went after was quickly hit and forced to go all the way back to his base to recharge or whatever it was they had to do to get back into the game.

Cody flashed Tally a smile as she managed to get the other one. "With a bit of practice, you'd be really good," he complimented, barely noticing a flicker of movement behind him. Yet, as he turned the semi-darkness and many pillars hid the child from his view.

"I could've sworn... Never mind," the greed spawn muttered, still watching the space carefully, looking for any sort of movement and listening for anything that would alert him to the presence of another.

"Light up that dangly thing. Can' see..." Cody grumbled, trying to see better. Suddenly the person jumped out and immediately began firing at them.

"TAKE COVER!" he cried, trying to hide before he was hit. Fortunately enough, he managed to avoid the little beams by ducking behind a pillar and returning fire from there. Gah, why did it have to be so dark? Made it insanely hard to see and correctly aim. The greed spawn's eyes wandered over to Tally, wondering if she had been hit by the sporadic firing of the other kid.
