xxmarzipanzxx (5:09:23 PM): A dainty little Ragamuffin let her paws carry her to the grassy openness of her old front yard. It's not that she hung around this neighborhood of fancy houses much anymore, but recently she had just been missing the quietness. It wasn't like how things were in town, where cars and people made uncomfortable amounts of noise. She sat down and sighed softly, just letting her eyes wonder up to the lovely tree in the front yard.
Times of Dying (5:14:13 PM): The quiet would be broken soon. Falcon had found himself running through the rich-b***h part of town to see if their rats were a bit better fed, which in fact, they weren't. But they were still quite a bit bigger than the starving ones near Nyanman. Bolting after one of the faster little buggers, he cursed--which was the broken silence. Cussing up a storm as he lost track of the rat, the javanese bristled and growled a bit, dropping to his rear end, tail twitching in an irritated manner. This sucked.
xxmarzipanzxx (5:18:02 PM): Belle was squinting up into the bright shimmer of sunlight that peeked through the leaves when all the sudden fowl language filled the air. "My goodness..." she furrowed her eyebrows and looked around. It was clear to see that she was a bit startled, the way her tail was wrapping around her body like so and she hand a paw raised just in case she had to make a dash for it. She took notice of where the source of this cursing was coming from though. Some interesting looking fellow who sat firmly on his behind, sulking about something. She tilted her head and found herself standing to her feet. Sure, she wasn't to fond of the nasty words but he seemed sad, and also, his appearance was rather appealing. She walked over, letting her fluffy coat bounce with each step. "Excuse me, are you alright over there?" She asked keeping a bit of distance between the two.
Times of Dying (5:25:05 PM): His fur had just begun to lay back down when she spoke--oh god, he hadn't even heard her coming. Bristling once more, he looked over to the girl and blinked, calming instantly. Cute little thing, wasn't she? "I'm fine," he smirked, "Lost my breakfast," looking in the direction that the rat disappeared, he frowned for a moment, then shifted to turn in her direction. "I apologize, I wouldn't have used such nasty language around a beautful kitten like yourself," Falcon cooed, knowing he should shut himself up but...yeah, no, he didn't know how to keep his playboy mouth shut. "Are you? Wandering around by yourself, are you?"
xxmarzipanzxx (5:32:54 PM): Belle noticed how he puffed up into a huge fur ball and took a quick little hop backwards. She didn't let her guard down. If she had learned one thing from being an outdoors cat it was keeping your guard up. "Um... oh. I'm sorry to hear that." She caught him glancing off in a direction and figured that's where his meal had scampered off to. The Javanese spoke up once again and sent her a light apology along with a compliment laced inbetween. She felt herself get all light headed and swayed her tail from side to side, very pleased with him thus far. "Well, thank you, sir. Apology accepted. She approached him at least, sitting right behind him now, looking over his soft coat. He was rather attractive. "I am, but I'm very capable of fending for myself, I assure you." She was very proud with how she looked out for herself now.
Times of Dying (5:36:50 PM): His smirk just widened when she assured him of this, twisting around once more to seat himself in front of her, a good distance away however, and curled his tail around his lower half. He was decently large for his breed--or so he figured, since the only other Java he'd seen barely reached his shoulders. Perkng his ears, he couldn't help but give her a once-over, not really hiding the fact that he had either. Falcon's bright eyes lit up slightly when she stayed, however, figuring she'd have bolted by his raggedy appearance. "I dont doubt it," he laughed, "Gotta watch out for the cute ones, is what I was taught," a low purr picked up from his chest, once again taking a shot in the dark. She liked the first compliment, so why not lay it on thick, right? Not that he was sucking up, he was being honest.
xxmarzipanzxx (5:43:17 PM): Belle felt her whiskers rising as she smiled. The blueness in her eyes seemed to brighten up as she felt joyous of such luck in meeting this fellow. "Well, aren't you a charmer." She did a slow bow in respect and thanks before introducing herself. "I'm Belle. Please, what may I call you?" She asked with full interest. For being a cat with a sailor's mouth he was rather appealing. Especially with all of these compliments he kept tossing her way. She loved every moment of it. She knew it was all true, too. She never doubted her beauty.
Times of Dying (5:48:45 PM): The bow made his brow arch in curiosity, doing the same for her after she had introduced herself however. Straightening back up, he smiled sincerely, replacing the snarky expression on his face with a much gentler one. "Falcon," he hummed, still not quite used to the new name he had given himself, "It's a pleasure to mee you," the females around here weren't as bitchy as he'd been told. A few males he' d managed to talk to often told him horror stories of how sassy these queens could get. But then again, one couldn't judge by the first few words exchanged.
xxmarzipanzxx (5:52:18 PM): Belle smiled softly at his name. It was quite different. "Heh, Falcon? Such a nice name." She wanted to be kind to him, for she didn't want to be on this cutie's naughty list. "Likely," she grinned at him playfully before taking a few steps closer. Of course he was pleased to meet her. Most cats were. "So, Falcon. I haven't seen you around here before... is there a reason for that? You're new to this area, aren't you?"
Times of Dying (5:59:02 PM): Nodding at the compliment to his own name, that smirk returned. He, too, liked compliments...who didn't? But his ego needed the petting every now and again. When she questioned him, however, he cocked his head and blinked. "I am, indeed~" He cooed, nodding, "Just wandered into town not too long ago. Figured this place would be somewhat decent," Falcon snickered at this, watching as she came closer to him. He kept his paws to himself right now, though, despite the fact that he was quite a touchy feline. Falcon, surprisingly, had -some- self restraint. "Haven't seen any big birds around, have you? Gotta' watch out for them, too."
xxmarzipanzxx (6:11:03 PM): The Ragamuffin simply giggled in a high pitch as he asked about large birds being around this territory. Well, Belle hasn't been looking out for large birds so she couldn't really say. "I haven't seen any around, as if late. Only little hummingbirds and blue jays." Why would he be asking about large birds in the first place, though. It struck her as a little odd. "Are you looking for a good meal?" She figured he wanted to eat it.
Times of Dying (6:23:00 PM): Looking back down to her after scouring the skies for any of the raptors, he blinked and shook his head. "Oh, no--" He laughed, motioning up to his ear with one of his paws, "It's how I got my name. A big bird bit a piece of my ear off when I was a kitten," and somehow he'd managed to run off without getting killed by the huge-assed hawk that had gotten him. But hey, his luck has never failed him before. "Weird, huh? I always thought birds were horrified of us cats. Turns out that's not so true."
xxmarzipanzxx (6:30:31 PM): Belle blinked a few times, wondering what the male had meant exactly. When he began explaining the story her face turned to an expression of shock and horror. "Oh, you poor poor dear." She inspected his ear closely. "Well, it's a good thing you managed to escape it's talons." She looked up at the sky now, having a new reason for another fear. "Hm..." she tore her stare from the sky and turned it back on Falcon, "The little wound on your ear actually makes you more... fearless looking. More dangerous." She hoped that was a compliment for this cat.
Times of Dying (6:36:57 PM): Laughing, he nodded, "It is, nasty birds," he murmured, shrugging. When she looked at the sky he just smiled, "We're a bit too big for them now, it was a childhood fear if nothing else." The compliment, once again, made him smile proudly and puff out his chest. Ego-petting. "What're you doing around here?" He'd forgotten to ask, "If you dont mind my asking." Falcon chose to not continue talking about the scar, seeing as he could talk about himself for quite some time if he wanted to...but now wasn't the time.
xxmarzipanzxx (6:42:45 PM): Belle smiled as he asked about her. She simply loved going on about herself, and since he was asking and all, she figured now was the perfect chance. "Well, you see... I used to live here in this house." She looked towards the large abode and glanced around the yard boardered by a white picket fence. A real dream home. "But, I did a stupid stupid thing. I decided to wander outside one day, big mistake, and some rude simpleton just grabbed me and took me to his aweful excuse for a home. I managed to escape easily but..." she seemed to slow down as the story started to wash over her. "But, when I did finally find my way back home... nobody was here to greet me. At first I thought that they were just on a vacation, but ... it's been so long." She sighed and looked back over to the for sale sign in the yard. "They're not coming home..." She looked back down, feeling like she wanted to mourn by it would be to awkward in front of a stanger so she sat up straight and shrugged off her feelings. "I just came back to reminis (sp?)."
Times of Dying (6:46:39 PM): Oh...oh dear. He winced inwardly, feeling slightly bad for asking. Boldly, he brought one of his paws up to caress carefully under her chin, turning her gaze back to him and smiling. "You're brave," he murmured petting her cheek with his thumb before removing his hand, not wanting to push any boundries, "They miss you, I know they do. You still have love out there," when did he go so sappy? "So dont lose hope. I bet they'll come back for you, someday," he didn't know that, but....he didn't like seeing her sad, it already sent a pang of anguish through him. The male was pretty sensitive to other's emotions, which wasn't always such a good thing...but whatever.
xxmarzipanzxx (6:52:08 PM): Belle could hear her mind trying to snap her out of her slight daze of sadness but it wasn't her mind that actually prevailed. She suddenly felt a surprising touch just under her chin that lifted her eyes to his. He considered her brave? "Heh, more like foolish." She tried to gently correct him with her saddned tone, but she was definitely greatful for the thought. He let her know that they missed her, and hopefully someday they would return for her. This left her feeling a bit hopeful, but she had been trying to convince herself that she didn't need them. It was a strange mixture of emotions. She missed the easy life, but she loved all her new friends and experiences. "Falcon..." she finally spoke with much happier eyes, "I would have never expected you to be such an understanding sweetheart. Thank you." She had very much enjoyed his touch. It was much like how she felt when Hermes showed her affection.
Times of Dying (7:10:20 PM): When her eyes lit up a bit more he smiled and settled his foot back to the ground, looking at her curiously when she spoke his name. Nodding to her comment, he chuckled and pushed himself to stand, "I can be~" He teased, taking a few steps forward, brushing her cheek with his tail. "You hungry, cutie? Maybe I can get off my a** and catch both something to eat," plus his stomach felt like it was about to implode. He was so hungry. "It'll take your mind off of things," tilting his head at her, he kept himself steady, one paw raised and ready to continue on.
xxmarzipanzxx (7:13:49 PM): Belle leaned into the touch of his tail a bit dreamily, but caught herself acting a bit peculiar and shook her head from those clouds her head seemed to be stuck in. "Oh, that would be very kind of you. I haven't had a decent meal today." Usually she ate pretty well from begging in town and having her friends gather meals for her. She was well taken care of by others. Secretly, she had never been able to catch anything herself. She stood and began to walk up beside him, her tail brushing up and down his. "I feel like I should be repaying you for all this."
Times of Dying (7:16:55 PM): Grinning at her when she stood and stepped up beside him, he flicked his ears and straightened up, as if correcting his posture for the pretty girl...which he kind of was, but who could blame him? "Repay me? Oh, no!" He laughed softly, slowly stepping towards the not-so-nice part of town, "It's an honor to get some dinner for a beauty like yourself," he purred, leading her on step by step. And really, how could he just up and leave her? She was friendly, had a nice personality, and seemed more than happy to deal with his flirtatious and rugged nature. Not many could get a check for everything on his list of 'perfect cats'.
xxmarzipanzxx (7:21:46 PM): Belle smiled happily at yet another one of his precious comments that made her think so highly of herself. Of course, it was not much improvement than before. She always thought she was one in a million, but still, it was pleasant to find somebody else who thought so. "Such a gentleman," she laughed at him lightheartedly and followed close. She realized that they were slipping further and further from the safety of the better neighborhood and into the not so pleasant streets. "Um, is this where you go to get all your meals, Falcon?" She stuck to his side now like glue.
Times of Dying (7:29:57 PM): Feeling her body come closer to his own he nodded, staring straight ahead and making sure no one else was around. "Yup," he chuckled, "This is also where I usually live. It's really not that bad," his tone had dropped to a whisper, not wanting to scare off prey or attract attention to the two of them. Not good when some gung-ho cats lived around here. "I promise I wont let anything happen to you, Belle."
xxmarzipanzxx (7:36:48 PM): Belle knew she was risking her safety by following this Javanese into unfamiliar, unfriendly looking territory, but she trusted him. If he said he wasn't going to let anything happen, she was a sucker to believe him. He had been so honest thus far. Hopefully this wouldn't be the change in truthfulness. "Okay..." she whispered back in the same volume and looked around. She then saw a plump little rat off in the distance, scurrying around the base of a garbage can. She quickly glanced at Falcon to see if he took notice of it as well. She didn't want to say anything, fearing that it might scare of the vermin.
Times of Dying (7:40:04 PM): Oh, he'd seen it. And instantly, his body went rigid, and he stopped moving, lowering his head. "See those crates," he motioned with his head, "Go and stand by them...I'll be right back," and with that, he sprinted off silently towards the rat, taking a side route and disappearing into some boxes and garbage. Still, he was completely silent, crouched low and slowly making his way towards the plump little b*****d. Licking his lips, he smirked, and waited for the prcise moment...not wanting to miss it and look like an idiot.
xxmarzipanzxx (7:43:57 PM): Belle tippy toed her way over to the crates where she was instructed to stand, all alone, by herself. The loneliness seemed to get to her so she stuck close to the wooden crates, pulling her tail closely to her body as she watched Falcon swiftly unfold his plan to capture the little beast. However, her fear of being alone in a dreadfully ghetto part of town caused her to lean against the unstable crate and send it crumbling to the ground. The commotion not only gave her a heart attack and sent her dashing over to Falcon but it also alerted the rat that there were things to fear. It started to scurry away.
Times of Dying (8:11:13 PM): The loud noise scared him as well, making him whirl around with wide eyes. About to make a run back for the girl, he froze when she barreled up to him, nearly running into him in the process, and the rat bolted. Heart pounding, he released a heavy sigh at seeing her safe, lifting one of his arms up to hook around her to try and calm her down. "Are you okay? What happened?" No other cats around--or dogs...or rats. But still, she was okay, and that had still scared him. Staring over her towards the area she had just come from, it took him a moment to tear his gaze from the fallen crates to look down at the smaller female.
xxmarzipanzxx (8:15:25 PM): Her lungs were burning from the sudden sprint. She had never ran so quickly in her life. Her heart was thumping a million miles per hour but the calming arm around her seemed to help ease her. She looked up at him with her blue orbs and took a deep breathe, releasing an embarrassed exhale. "I... I'm alright. I just bumped into that crate over there and it came tumbling down. I'm sorry. I must have scared off your meal." She frowned, feeling terrible about causing him this trouble. Belle bowed her head down to the grown, flattening her ears back against her head.
Times of Dying (8:30:10 PM): "Good," he patted her back lightly and sighed in relief, removing his arm from her to shake his head at her comment. "It's okay, really, there are a ton of rats around here," Falcon murmured, smirking. "Do you know how to hunt?" He questioned, his voice brightening to try and calm her, "You should just stay with me. I bet we can get twice as many rats if we were both hunting."
xxmarzipanzxx (8:33:29 PM): Belle felt his hand skimming over her back lightly and patting it to leave her reassured everything was fine. She felt much better now, thanks to him. However, when he happened to ask the question of her knowing how to hunt she seemed concerned. "N-no... No I don't, actually. I don't hunt." She found it to be a difficult and dirty job. One that she thought was better left to others. "I-I'll probably just end up making another commotion."
She caught him glancing off in a direction and figured that's where his meal had scampered off to.
