It was early in the evening and Zuberi was out an about looking for a particular wild dog. Twana had gone off with a friend of hers, and Zuberi was looking for a good time. This of course was not out of character for him, he fell in and out of love daily. The particular female that he was looking for was one he had met not to long ago. They had met when she had just joined the pack, and he had given her a tour.
He made his way through the activity of the pack, the other dogs were starting their daily or rather nightly activities, he nodded to those that he recognized. Reaching Father Tree Zuberi sat down and let out a sigh, he hadn't seen the brilliant red fur that he had been searching for.

Chaka had just been off to get something to drink, actually, and was heading back toward Father Tree to see who might be around tonight. Spotting a familiar face, she smiled and padded over toward Zuberi.
Plopping down a couple of feet away from the younger male, Chaka smiled. "Hey... haven't seen you in a few days. How are you?"

Zuberi smiled, finding it quite funny that the very willd dog he had been looking for had found him. "Why hello there, you are just the dog I was looking for." he barked happily, his tail wagging back and forth.
He was happy to see that his memory had not decieved him and that she was just as beautiful as he remembered. "Have you settled into the pack well." he asked her, doing his best to seem polite and curtious,, instead of overly flirtatious.

"Oh really? Why's that?" Chaka asked easily, tilting her head a little bit at him. "I like this place... it's really nice," she then replied to his question. He wasn't actually all that good at hiding his interest in her, but Chaka didn't mind, really.

"Well why wouldn't be looking for a beautiful dog such as yourself?" he asked dropping the act quite quickly, it was too hard to keep up, and it wasn't like she didn't already know him. "I am glad to hear you are settling in well her, its a rather welcoming place after all."
He let out a huge grin, he thought of himself as particularly welcoming to this particular wild dog, he had had his eye on her since she came in, he was drawn to her vibrant coat. "Have you settled on a job to do here in the pack?"

She nodded at that questions, wagging her tail a bit. "Yes... I decided I'd be a Scout. I do still like exploring, so that seemed to be perfect. What about you? What do you do here?"

He chuckled at the irony, "I too am a Scout, he told her. I like to be out in the day sometimes, see the rest of the world. There is so much out there that you don't see at night." Of course what he meant by so much out there, was that there were so many other wild dogs out in the real world that he got to meet and his excuse for being out of the pack lands during the day instead of sleeping in his den with his mate, was that he was a Scout and simply doing his job.
"Perhaps sometime, we can go out and Scout together?" he asked, testing the waters, seeing where the female dog stood.

Chaka smiled at that and nodded - not too eagerly, but also not like she was trying to humor him, really. "That would be nice..." she replied softly, ears tipping toward him for a moment. He really was nice, even if - to her - he seemed really young. Not that she minded that.

Zuberi smiled, still young at heart, and only recently an adult, he let his age show through sometimes, he was in that age when life was jsut wonderful, and frankly he wanted to enjoy it to the best of his ability.
"I am sure you would have fun" he told her chuckling, "I know all the fun places to go during the day." he gave her a playful nudge, attempting to take the interaction a little further. He may be young but generally speaking he knew how to interact with females, he had been flirting with them since he was a juvenile.

"Oh really?" she asked, raising her brows at him. She didn't lean away from his touch, but rather into it just a little. He wasn't half-bad at this - which only made her more interested, really. "You'll definitely have to show me sometime..."

He smiled, happy that whatever he was doing he was doing it right. Some females did not respond as well as this one was to his flirting. "Anytime you are free my dear I would be happy to take you out." He was beginning to show his age more and more, as he grew more excited with his success, he began to get a little more figidty, his tail wagging harder and harder.
"I meant ot ask you, where did you pick for your den?" it was something he had learned to ask females early on, his was near the forest, not to far from Father Tree, but he shared it with Twana, who he was fairly confident would not like it if he brought home another female.

"Oh, I picked out a little spot down by the stream the other day," Chaka replied - wondering why he might want to know that. But hey... there was no harm in him knowing. Perhaps he preferred things... that way. Going to her rather than inviting her to his den. .... Oh, and what was she doing skipping ahead of things, anyway? There was plenty of this dance still to go before things go to that point.

Zuberi smiled, it was good to know where he could find her in the future. "That is a nice area." he said to her politely. "Now I know where to find you, if the need may arise." he smiled, then deciding to cover his tracks a little bit, he back stepped, "You know just incase I need another Scout while I am on duty." he looked at her a twinkle in his eye, he doubted that she would buy wha the had said, but he had tried to see gentlemenly.

Zuberi smiled, the female dog was on the same page as him. As he turned to talk to her again, a yellow and white dog caught his eye not to far in the distance. He realized imediatly it was his mate returning from where ever she had gone with her friend earlier this evening. Deciding he didn't want the conversation with Chaka to turn to a negative one, he turned back to her, "I hate to do this my dear, but I must run. I promise to seek you out again soon though." Darting his eyes back towards his mate to see if it would go noticed, he quickly gave Chaka a lick on the nose, before turning and troting away, he didn't head towards Twana but instead towards his den, he didn't want Chaka to be turned off by the fact he had a mate.
