Ravii's tail flipped from side to side as he yawned and rolled onto his back, his eyes heavy with sleep; for once he felt care free- alive. He wasn't running away anymore... not from her. He was able to rest in peace here, and to him, that was the best gift of all. Maybe now he could live without that sick fear he felt so long ago? Maybe... now things would be... better.
Maybe.

Kirana found herself in unfamiliar territory, not that she was ever really in familiar territory. No the pink lioness was a wander if only because she found herself fascinated by the surrounding world and wished to explore as much of it as possible. So far she had been to the jungle, entertaining herself with perhaps the strangest genet she had ever happened upon, she had raced across the desert being oh-so wary to avoid the lands of the Firekin, she had spent days resting near the sea happening upon a lion that looked oh-so similar to her that it was a bit frightening and now she found herself in a swamp-like land.
She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, the scent was pleasing to her nose. The mossy grass smell, oh how sweet it was, the way the ground was soft but not terribly squishy. She found herself very fond of her surrounds.
And there were trees, oh-so many trees that she was itching to climb. "This is going to be fun!" She chirped happily unaware if anyone else was nearby.

Pink? What the hell was this? Her eyes narrowed as a bright color hit his eyes, someone else was here... and she was... very pink, how weird? His tail batted from side to side as he glanced at her and spoke out, his tone rather confused.
"Hey?"
She seemed... strange!

Kirana was surprised when someone spoke to her. Her ears perked up and she spun around a big smile on her lips. "Hellooooo~" She chirped happily peeking around to find this mystery person. Then she found him and bounded over to him. "Hello mister stranger!" She told him skidding to a halt just a few feet before him.
"I'm Kirana, who are you?"

"Your pretty bubbly, eh?"
He sat back as she came closer, his ears lowered in slight fear, he kind of felt that way toward all females right now, after all, one tried to kill him.
"I'm Ravii--"
He frowned at her and spoke out again, his tone a bit lighter, his ears somewhat perked.
"You've got to be the brightest lioness i've ever seen"

"Only sometimes!" She chirped with a small giggle. Taking a step closer to him she cocked her head to the side. "Ravii? I like that name. A lot!" She smiled brightly at him only to frown when he frowned. "Is something wrong?" She asked pressing her lips together in a pout just as he spoke.
"Really?" She looked down at herself, she knew she was bright but she didn't think she was the brightest. No, she wasn't the brightest. She met a male who was brighter than her! Oh, but that was a male so he didn't count.
"Oh, well I guess I am pretty bright, I met a male who was even brighter than me though," she told him with a nod. "I like your neutral looks."

Ravii could have laughed at her, but held it back.
"Neutral? You nuts? I've got some pink on me, too."
He winked and sighed, she was very very VERY bubbly, he wasn't use to this. He tilted his head and spoke out, his tone very low.
"Hear about the murders in this pride? Word has it there is someone offing lions of the swamp."
He gave her a rather dark look.
"Shouldn't be wanderin' around here alone."

"You're not pink silly, you're red," she told him sticking her tongue out. "Besides, you have a lot more neutral tones than me." She shrugged wrinkling her nose.
When he started to talk about about murders the smile slipped from her features. "Murders?" She blinked watching him. "But...but why?" She was a little over trusting but she couldn't help it, it was in her nature.
She took a step back at his look. "N-no...I...I guess not, but I don't know anyone here."

He could tell he was making her feel weird so he stopped his teasing and frowned a bit, brows curled.
"I am sorry, it's nothing to worry about, you hear? I won't let anyone like... hurt you, so... no worries."
He nodded and smiled, well, the best he could at least. She was way too nice to be rude to, it was... too easy.
"Same."
He nodded.

Excitement bubbled within the pink and yellow female as he promised that he wouldn't let anyone harm her. He hardly knew her but she knew she could trust him. He was nice and she didn't even have a sinking feeling in her gut that she occasionally got. No, he was a good male.
"Really?" She chirped bouncing forward, leaning her body down in a crouching stance looking up at him hopefully. When he mentioned that he too didn't know anyone really she frowned, pushed herself up and inched closer to him.
"It's okay now though," she told him with a firm nod. "You know me now, and we're friends right?"

The tip of his nose twitched as he frowned and nodded, she was... very close to him, this made him... feel weird. He sighed and spoke out, he... he could she was going to be... a clingy friend. Maybe that wasn't SO bad though? It could be worse.
He smiled and spoke out.
"Yeah- we are friends."
What was he getting himself into?

"Good!" She exclaimed bounding back a step or two. She was thrilled to be making a new friend, she had never had problems with making friends but she had always known the area she was in. Here in the swamps, well she wasn't quite sure what anything was or where she was really. She loved the smell of the place though, and that was always a good sign.
"Now if you don't want to be alone you can come find me," she stated nodding excessively. Things were going to be great from here on out, she could just feel it. "Ravii, you'll be my best friend," she told him all seriousness, "is that okay?"
She seemed incredibly worried that he wouldn't approve.

She was so cublike, he couldn't help but se sweet to her, she really... really wanted him to say yes, and he knew it. Smirking a bit at this he nodded and spoke out, his tone kind and, well, true.
"Yeah, it's fine."
He nodded slightly.
What.... was he getting himself into?
