Damn damn damn. More people were prepared for negaverse attacks. She staggered behind a house, leaning against the outside walls. How the hell was she supposed to know that the senshi was magnetic? And if she had been careless enough to let a kitchen knife slice her. A freakin' knife. But then again, the whole kitchen flew at her. People were more prepared now. Serandite shouldnt have been careless. just because she stole a few surprised people's starseeds didn't mean she was all that great. She had just thought she was.
Serandite didn't deal well with pain. But making a sound would risk the police finding her. He had called the police. Damnit. She grimaced, closing her eyes as she clutched her side. Lucky for negaverse jumping abilities. That was the only thing that had gotten her into this situation.
She clutched her side, hands stained red with blood. It was a shallow cut. But she would personally go after him if it left a scar. It was still bleeding as well. She pressed her kimono against the wound in an attempt to close it. She didnt know whose house she was behind but as long as she didn't make a noise, she should be fine.

This was not Alexander's night. He could have been safe and warm in the drafty dorm room at Hillworth, lying awake in his bed and listening to the lulling clomp! clomp! clomp! of booted hall security walking by his room at night. But no, he just had to pry the window open and drop down, close it behind him and Solid Snake his way off the campus with a fully charged camera for the sake of YouTube popularity.
Everyone knew about the skirted and militaristic terrorists that ran around at night. Everyone! Sure, the news could only offer blurred shots... But one flicker, one nine-second long clip on YouTube was enough to boost angelgurl547201's hits from 20 to over several thousand. And they were still rising! How unfair was that?!
Alex planned it all out: sneak out, get away from campus, and watch for unfamiliar lights, then head towards said lights. Easier said than done -- no one warned him how fast these people were, arriving in time to see some wrecked sidewalks and glitter plastered on everything like a fourth grader's first book report. Property damage wasn't amazing -- it was LAME.
Added to that, it was also dangerous. The wail of sirens was more than enough to encourage him to get away. He didn't fancy getting delivered to his stepmother's house at this time of night, since the first thing she'd do would be to send him back to Hillworth. Detention with Killingworth? No thanks.
So here he was, jumping fences like a fugitive and praying the yards he crossed remained empty. This one, he happened to jump, was not. The boy jerked back as soon as he saw Serandite, only making out in the gloom that someone was there. "Whoah! Um, sorry for jumping your yard! I kinda like to hop fences at night and was hoping that this was my place, but since it isn't I'll just be right along you won't call the cops, right?"

Damn-- this kid was noisy! Serandite shot up to put a sleeved hand over the boy's mouth, silencing him. "Shhh-- This isn't my house either. just cause they're not home doesnt mean you gotta make the neighbors notice us!" She hastily whispered, pulling the sleeved hand away from his once it was safe. The sirens passed by briefly, heading back to the police station.
She wasn't letting this civilian give her away by his incessant talking, only to be turned over to the police. "Just go, wont you?" She motioned to the open gate, the gate that this family always left open. But the sudden action of jumping up had her slumping back down against the wall with a painful groan.

"I mean, I can und-mmph!" Alexander's babble ground to a swift halt as her sleeve slapped itself onto his lips, shock and surprise stilling him. He held his breath until she lowered her hand, a slow sigh of relief snaking out from between his teeth.
"I wasn't that loud," he protested quietly, turning towards the gate in question. Huh. He didn't notice that before, but if he walked on the sidewalks when the police were nearby...
His attention was snapped back to the girl as she slumped with a groan. "Hey, you okay?" Alex asked, the darkness preventing him from seeing that she was anything but 'okay.' "You need help or anything?"

"That loud? You were loud enough for a noisy army in a sneak attack." Serandite pointed out, sitting against an outer wall of the house. Compared to the silence she had to use in her midnight outings, the civilian's steps sounded like an elephant to her own ears. She frowned at the other's question, the displeasure wasn't about the civilian as much as it was about her pathetic appearance.
Making a show of standing up (trying to anyways!) she motioned him away. "I'll be fine. It's a scratch. Gang fight, you know? I suppose a girl shouldn't be on the street at nights." She said the story with practiced fatigue, although not all of that fatigue was practiced anymore. Not quite. "Teaches me a lesson, that it does."
"Shouldn't you be home or at the dorms? You didn't get lose, did you?" Serandite asked suspiciously, stepping out of the shadows, letting some light shine on her. As soon as she realized she was in the dim light, she subtly stepped back into the shadows, hoping the civilian didn't think anything was odd.

"Well excuuuuuse me princess," Alex replied, even though he knew she was right. He never did finish those lessons from that mail-order Ninjutsu learning kit he got as a kid... maybe he should go dig those up sometime the next time he could get home? Providing his stepmother didn't throw his stuff away, that is.
He stepped back as she waved him away, a faint frown crossing his lips. "A gang fight? No offense, but you don't look -" ohmanwhowearsshortskirtsliketaht?! LookuplookupLOOKUP DON'T LET HER CATCH YOU LOOKING THERE "- like a gang member," he finished. "Not in that get-up. Which is cute, don't get me wrong, but it also looks a bit chilly."
Alex began to inch backwards. What kind of a girl wore a skirt that short and sleeves that long around here? That in and of itself was weird -- it was as if she stepped out of some sort of Eastern movie!

"Princess? Nice nickname." Serandite took the sarcastic comment as a compliment, gathering her hair over her shoulder. She blinked as the other seemed to radiate a nervous aura. Oh if she was up to top speed, she would have embarrassed him like nothing he had ever seen before.
"Well, looks are deceiving." She stated, knowing that her young look didn't exactly qualify her for the negaverse either. Damn, the negaverse was too full of hot women who obviously had more of a figure than she did. Or at least, Tisiphone and Tanzanite had figures. Although it was a bit chilly. At least she had long sleeves and stockings-- they provided her with some warmth.
"Before you go-- I don't suppose you have bandages or anything? I can't exactly walk into a store with an injury like this.. or a get up like this. They might uh.. mistake me for those terrorists going around?" She said sheepishly, hating to ask a civilian but-- he was her only option right now.

If Serandite was up to top speed, Alex would have probably found the pavement to be a very comfortable place. To him, there was just... something about her that seemed more or less "off" to him, and the more distance between them the better. Or at least, that was the thought that was trying to get Alex's attention. It wasn't.
"True," he agreed, "But just because I don't look like a vending machine doesn't mean I am one. Does it look like I have anything?" He held out his arms, showing that he didn't carry anything. His camera was tucked away into the front pocket of his hoodie, and Alex wasn't gallant enough to offer it to her.
"But... I think I saw something a couple yards ago," he volunteered, turning and scrambling up and over the fence. He made his way through the neighbor's yard over to the next, where someone forgot to bring in their air-drying laundry...

She experienced disappointment for a moment and then the strange civilian went off to grab someone else's laundry. Whoa.
She giggled as he volunteered to do something so outrageous for her. Usually a civilian would say no and leave, But he was willing to steal someone's laundry for her. How interesting. Of course, she had no protests against it but the morals of a citizen were usually so ridiculously limited.
"Stealing a laundry for me. How chivalrous. I really do appreciate it though." She said upon his return, offering him a small sincere smile but she couldnt help the chuckles that escaped. For once, she felt like -- not a negaverse soldier always on the hunt for starseeds. Even though this injury was a constant reminder of it though.

As tempting as it was to take a sheet, it would be way too recognizable. Besides, Halloween's panty raid didn't go exactly to plan. In fact, it... well, it could've been better. Alexander still had the itch to steal something, and luckily for this home owner they didn't have any unmentionables out to snatching. He instead settled for snatching several large shirts which could be either layered up for warmth or "accidentally" dropped and forgotten in order to pin the blame on a neighbor. Oops!
Hey, a boy's gotta get his kicks somehow. Why not live up to Hillworth's delinquent reputation?
"Hey, no problem. I've been wanting to snatch laundry for some time," he replied, "The last time a friend and I tried it... well, let's just say that snatching laundry when the owner of said laundry is nearby just doesn't work out, y'know? Here." He offered them to her: a large green T-shirt with some sort of novelty saying on it (Alexander couldn't make it out), an orange and yellow flower-print t-shirt, and a solid color turtleneck.

"Must have been a fun experience though." She commented, staring at his a little suspiciously. He snatched laundry. Did he snatch.. girl's laundry? The thought lingered in the back of her mind. She didnt mind if anyone else's one was stolen. It just had better not be her own laundry.
She took the three shirts, taking the turtleneck, it being the softest material to bandage as the first layer. She walked over to the chain link fence, she hooked the soft material and pulled it to form uneven strips of cloth. This was done with the other shirts as well, the ripping a fairly short process.
She lifted her arm sleeve, wincing as the action pulled on the muscles that had been shallowly sliced. Ouch. She couldn't wrap it around the whole way. Not like this.
"Mind helping? You dont have to do too much. just uh.. help me wrap it." Serandite asked, her finesse disappearing as pain continued to throb at her wound. s**t, that knife had been pretty damned sharp.

"To a point, yeah. It's not every night you team up with someone to go out and snatch clothes, y'know?" Ah, if only Alex knew how close he was with that! Granted, she snatched starseeds and not unmentionables but...
She took the items from him and went to the fence. As she stepped into the light, Alex couldn't help but to stare at her backside. There was something... off about her, something he couldn't put his finger on.
"Huh? What? Um, yeah! Sure, sure. What did y- oh! Yeah, hang on," he shook his head to clear it, and made a point to raise his eyes to her side. "Eeesh, that doesn't look good. You sure you're okay? I mean, that seriously seriously doesn't look good. I'd offer to call for help but I... I don't exactly have a cell," he said, taking the edge of the bandage and holding it down while wrapping the other end around her, cheeks burning before tying it off. "Another layer?"

"Nono. I'm okay." Serandite hastily said, agreeing as he asked about another layer. The task was soon done with little difficulty and the bandaging had suppressed most of the pain.
She looked back as his beet red face as she straightened up, a giggle filling the wakward air. "You've never bandaged a girl, have you?" She asked, leaning against the fence so that she didn't have to sit down and move too much. "I guess that wouldn't be surprising. I've never bandaged a guy either." She said thoughtfully, sourly reminded of why she was being bandaged in the first place.
"Those damned senshi just gotta make a ruckus of things without considering the attention they're drawing--- Argh. Makes it harder for me." She muttered to herself, almost forgetting that the civilian was standing right there.

"No ma'am never been this close to one like that and really pixels and polygons don't come close to the real thing believe me I just found out," Alex replied quickly, trying to fan his face at the same time and cool it down. Negative points for blushing! Even if some girls did dig the not-so-manly flush of the cheeks, Alex was smart enough to know that real life didn't work like Dating Sims. Real life worked like MMOs! Duh! Real Life was just like an MMO, only the nametags were off and the PvP flag was stuck on!
"Senshi?" Alex parroted, looking blank. "Was that the name of the gang that attacked you? Kinda lame name, if you ask me. It's pretty hard to move around at night since those terrorists started showing up, y'know? I was out trying to film one or two, but no luck -- all I've found are just puddles of glitter and the cries of sirens." He sighed, then shrugged it off. "Are you sure you're okay?"

Serah couldn't help but laugh at his formal reply, a hand at her mouth attempting to stifle her laughter. But she didn't try very hard to hide her amusement, a wide grin crossing her face. "I hope you found out that the real thing's heck of a lot better than virtual girls." She pointed out, taking a seat on the grass. If he didn't agree, she might slap him. Even if she did have a lacking chest, a man should never choose virtual females over real ones.
..He.. didnt know what the senshi meant? ... But he did know of the terrorists. Strange, he didn't know their names of the group. It had been plastered all over the news lately. But senshi was the less common name for sailor scout, Serandite guessed. But oh well, that made it better for her. "Yeah, it is a lame name. I agree." She nodded, cupping her chin in her hands. "Yeah, I'm fine. You're trying to film the terrorists? Tell me, what side are you rooting for?" She asked curiously, tipping her head slightly.
"Or are you just some reporter who's trying to get the scoop?"
