User Image The day had just started, though a single klipspringer was already out and about. He was an early riser, just like his mother. He had long since matured and left his mother, when he started roving, looking for a herd of his own.

He did miss his mother and grandmother, and he had finally learned bravery on his journey - he looked more dignified now, but he still would have a moment of childish playfulness every once and a while.

Especially around fawns.

He hadn't seen his mother since he left though, he paused in his walking to ponder, before shaking his head, horns swishing light to and fro. This mornng, he swore, he would continue seeking out a herd, then he would start a family there - he swore upon it.

Layan and woken earlier than the rest of her litter. She was walking around when she spotted a older klipspringer not to far in the distance. She smiled excited she. She had never met someone outside of her family and heard before. It was exciting to think that she got to meet someone new.

She galloped in his direction. "Hello there" she called to the older male Klipsrpinger. "Whats your name?" she asked smiling. She was a very friendly little foal.

Kucha was slightly taken aback by a fawn just... appearing out of nowhere. "Ah, hello," Kucha said with a friendly smile. "I'm called Kucha, and you are?" He asked kindly.

This had happened to him before, right when he had set off - a random fawn running up to him and asking to play or something. Still, his face remained as that of a small grin. He didn't mind playing with a fawn.

She smiled happy that the older male was going to talk to her, she had been blown off by adults before, saying that they were too busy working to play with her at the time. "My name is Layan'Ura" she told him proudly.

Layan thought her name suited her, it was a pretty name, and different, just like her. Her family was different then her most of her siblings were all brown, white and black, except from one of her older brothers who was blue as well.

"You don't live around here do you?" she asked, there was lots of Klipspringers in the heard but she had never seen one that looked like, Kucha before.

"No, I don't live anywhere," he gave a slight shake of his head. He hadn't come across a herd in nearly a year of travel. It had been so long since he came across another of his own kind, it was ridiculous, he thought. He figured there were more klipspringers.

"You do though, yeah?" He asked. His name, opposed to her, only suited his dark pelt - a name his father gave him before abandoning his mother to raise him alone. He swore to himself he would never do the same.

"Are your parents close?"

Layan nodded smiling, looking over her shoulder back towards where he family rested. "My family is just over there." she shook her head in the direction that her family was still resting.

"We live with a heard, travel with them every once in awhile. We have a god that take care of us, he is a lion, and big and strong." Layan liked her family a lot, and the God that took care of her struck her fancy. He was different from the other members of the heard. So much bigger, he was their protector.

"How come you don't live anywhere?" the young foal asked Kucha, the idea was strange to her that someone may not have a home.

Dark eyes lit up at the prospect of a herd. It made his grin widen slightly. Maybe he could stay here, with them. However, her next question made the direction of his mind dash in a different drection.

He didn't know how to answer that question. "I left when I was weened to find a herd for myself. Mother was struggling with me there," He answered. He figured that was a good enough reason. His mother would be safe, she had many dog and predator friends that protected her. Still, he did miss her.

Layan was saddened by the adults response, she couldn't imagine leaving her mother ever. Of course the foal was very young and not yet fully weaned.

Being the gentle soul she was, Layan's eyes brightened with an idea, "You could stay here!" she announced, very happy with her brilliant idea, "There are a lot of us here, and we always welcome new members."

Layan looked up at the older Klip, hoping perhaps he thought the idea was as good as she did.

Kucha gave a shy grin, like those he displayed in his fawnhood. "Perhaps. We would have to ask the Herd Leader first," he told her. He paused for a moment, but only a moment. "I'd like that very much, though," he informed her.

Layan was over joyed that the male agreed to stay, she was sure it would be fine with the leader, he took care of everyone, he was very loving. "Well I don't know if everyone is up yet, perhaps we can play for a little while first?" She had lots of energy and her siblings were still sleeping so she was hoping that the older klipspringer would agree to play with her.

Kucha gave a nod and agreed quickly. "Sure, sure. What do you want to play?" He asked. He knew a few games from playing with his mum and grandmum and a few from Azizi.

But still, it was always fun to learn a new game if this small fawn knew of any.

Layan sat quietly thinking, what did she want to play, it wasn't often that she got to pick the game that she played because she was so laid back. "I want to play I spy!" she finally shouted, she liked I spy because it was a littl emore laid back then the other games, Layan wasn't the type to run around, she was after all a bit of a clutz.

Kucha gave a chuckle. He had played this game a few times with his mother when they were laying in the High Grass. "Alright, do you want to start?" It always took him a while to pick something out, so while he was guess, he could look around.

Layan nodded excitied, she like Kucha a lot, happy that she was getting some one on one attention, in which she got to pick the activity! She sat looking around her, of course the game of I spy was a little difficult in the dessert, there wasn't always a great deal of colors around, she looked around trying to find something was different then the browns and greens around her. She spotted a gouping of orange flowers growing no to far in the distance.

She smiled looking around a little more so that he didn't know what she picked based on where she had looked right away. "I spy with my little eye something that is orange!" she shouted.

Kucha gave a look around, gazing at the horizon. He didn't spot the flowers at all, and his eyes settled in the direction of the sun. "Um... hmm... It wouldn't be the sun, would it?" He had been told the sun was orange, anyways...

He quickly looked around to think of something, stopping to look back at the female and looking down at her hooves - that's what he would use.
