Yeah, silly thing really but... those of you who speak English in your daily life (be it because you are born in an English speaking country or just lives there temporary) I need some help with a word.
Halfblood. That is the literal translation of the word I want, but that sounds like a rip-off from Harry Potter, so I'm looking for synonyms. The exact usage would be on a person who got one human parent and one demon parent. First I though of using mutt, but perhaps that would be better on people who origins from three or more different species...
Help?

I think halfblood is a rather common public domain word. It doesn't sound Harry Potter-ish to me, and it's a very good descriptor.
One of my favorite anime has a character that is half-demon half-human and he is often called a "child of taboo" (since it is usually looked down upon for a human and demon to mate). So if that is applicable, you could go with that. He is also referred to as a "half-demon" as well, though usually not "half-human."

Considering that it is main characters half-brother we're talking about (I R writing story), "child of taboo" might be a little too long, seeing that the main character uses the phrase pretty much like we would use "b*****d" or even ****er. That is, often and with no friendly intentions. I think I settle for half-human as a variation to halfblood, as that marks him out from the rest of the family.
Thank you for the reply ^^

Why no make up a word and explain it to the reader...such as Humon...is a human and a demon son...that's what I like about writing you have the license to create things as they fit...
