Skye was not a fan of school, she never had been and never would be. She didn't mind being tutored at home because it had only been a couple of hours and then she was free to go riding or hunting with her father. Yet now she was here. The Crystal Academy, oh the joys! Her parents were taking her to boarding school, at least the school seemed posh. All because her father had some important job or something. It was a stupid reason. Skye should come first, she always had done so why that changed over a stupid job she had no clue.
She had picked up a key and dorm number from reception, her parents had already left, along with their driver and she was left without even a servant to carry her bags! This was so wrong.
She arrange her bags so they balanced nicely on her case that had wheels, that way she could walk along without any trouble and without looking stupid. She found the dorms easily enough, now to find the right number...
As she found the dorm she let out a sigh. She had been told she had a room mate, she was sharing a room. How disgusting! She knocked on the door before entering. She could only hope the girl she was sharing with was at least half decent.

It wasnt as if Serah wanted a roommate either. She hoped her roommate would be decent. Man, if she was stuck with someone who stayed up all night, how would she sneak out of the dorms?
Also, it needed to be someone compatible. Anybody who was messy or dirty.. well, Serah would have just have to hope for the best. Or ask for another room change.
She opened the door to reveal a red haired girl on one side and on the other side stood herself with her bright pink hair. Both uniformed. She didn't hide her quick examination of the other. Serah didn't know what to make her of her yet. But.. Fishnet stockings. Interesting. Also.. her hair looked really nice. At least, her looks were of the right stuff to be with Serah. Moving out of the way, she pointed towards the other side of the room. She moved out of the way to let the other in.
"I'd ask if you wanted left or right but they're exactly the same. Two beds, two windows, two desks." It turned out that Serah had already settled in the right, her items half-unpacked. "Serah Eos. Any bad habits about you I should know about?" She smiled, getting straight to the point.

Woah, her hair! It was the first thing that Skye saw and well to say it wasn't expected was an understatement. It was so pink! However it did seem to suit the girl so Skye wouldn't complain, after all hadn't she dyed her hair red? Pink would clash with so much though... well her funeral.
"Thats fine with me." Skye tried to keep her voice friendly. She would be living with this girl, they had to get on or she would get her father to come home so she could go back to her proper life.
She walked in to the room and headed over to the left where she ditched her bags and sat on the bed before looking around the room. It was so boring.
"I wouldn't know, the servants at home don't usually talk to me. Do you have any?" Skye assumed everyone here would have had servants at home so she didn't bother hiding that fact in the slightest.
"Would you mind terribly if we did something with this room? It's just so plain." It would give Skye an excuse to spend some money as well and she did love spending her parents money.
"Oh I am Skye Fortescue, it's nice to meet you Serah." Introductions really shouldn't be something to forget. She had just never had to introduce herself before. She was spoilt and was already realising that life at school was going to be somewhat different to what she was use to.

Servants? Whoa, whoa, what? From the way she was talking.. Well.. Serah could accurately assume that this girl was spoiled. She talked about servants as if it were nothing. Was she asking if Serah had servants? Or bad habits? Probably the latter since Serah had questioned that first.
"If I do, you'll find out." She grinned, unpacking her begs into the closet on her side of the room. She put various outfits within the closet, all which had been carefully selected to NOT clash with her hair color.
"Your call. It's not against the rules." Serah shrugged. She wasn't going to waste money in a room she would only be in to sleep. She didn't have that much money to spare. If she did, it would be on better things.
"Skye. Glad to know I'm not stuck with a instantly dislikable roommate. I'll reserve my opinions about you until I get to know you better. But as long as you're cool with me, I'll probably be cool with you." She said, facing the other, dusting off her uniform from being on the ground.
"You should unpack. You'll be too busy to do it later." Serah advised, tipping her head towards Skye's closet. "Of course, dropping dead later and having wrinkled clothes from your suitcase is an option as well."

Skye just nodded, they would probably find various things irritating about each other. Skye had never lived with anyone her own age, it had just been her and her parents. This was going to be interesting to say the least.
"Any colours you hate? It needs some colour in here if nothing else." Though Skye then realised she would have to paint it and considered dropping the project. It wasn't like she had to paint a masterpiece or anything, she could paint a wall, but her clothes... she would have to think about this later.
"Yeah I know what you mean, I was half expecting to be put with someone horrible." She held back what she really wanted to say about a disgusting child who had no manners but she wasn't sure that would make a good impression and she was all about impressions.
Unpacking, oh yes. Why wasn't she allowed her servants here? There was just so much work to do. She turned and started unpacking, after all Serah was right, wrinkled clothes weren't good whether you were dead or alive.
"So where are you from?" Might as well try and get to know the person she was to be living with. She could unpack at the same time. Of course the first things she got out happened to be photos of her parents and her horse which she put on her desk. Then there was one of her with her bow and arrow which she had been told wasn't allowed in school and so was at home collecting dust. Well she hoped it wouldn't be collecting dust but servants are so useless when you aren't there telling them off!

"Doesn't everyone? Most of the girls here seem halfway decent so that's lucky for us." Serah said noncommittally, her luggage was almost empty. Apparently, she unpacked fast. Or didn't have much to unpack since most of her clothes were done.
"I'm from around here. My parents are housing some of my cousins so I moved out here to get away from them. You?" Unlike Skye, Serah didnt seem to have very much pictures. A single picture stood on her desk. But she did have a lot of.. junk. The desk was littered with pretty objects such as earrings and trinkets.. not to mention lots of stuffed animals. One that stood out in particular was a bunny lying on her bed with 'X' eyes. It laid there on the bed, against the wall, away from everything else.
"Where are you from? Not too much people have servants.. so I'm assuming a ridiculously high allowance gets awarded to you?" Serah speculated. She didn't care about the money. She was simply just trying to find out more about her roommate.

Skye listened and nodded at various moments even though she wasn't looking at her new room mate. She unpacked lots of little trinkets though some she shoved back into her bag. She had some expensive stuff with her and they would be best hidden. Maybe, depending on how they got on she might show Serah some at some point.
"Oh but your family must be rich yes? It costs a lot to come here." At least that's what Skye believed. She was sure her father must have paid a lot to send her to the best school ever. If he hadn't, well he might find a rather rude message on his answer phone at some point.
Skye finally got on to her clothes and took a lot of clothes out of varying fashions. Some clothes looked well unpractical but you never know when you might need something random. Most of her clothes were expensive and looked it, as were all the shoes that were at the bottom of her case. Now to hang them up.
"I was from England, came over here when I was 10, father was offered a job or something. I don't know why he works we don't need the money. I think he gets bored though. I was home schooled most my life apart from father has been asked to do something which means he and mother have to travel lots so apparently its not practical for me to stay at home and so I am here." She turned around to look at Serah once she stopped talking and saw all the cuddly toys. She didn't say anything about them but well, they were interesting.
"So do you have any hobbies and is there any good shopping places around?" The shopping question was important, very important!

"Rich, yes. Rich enough to have servants? Well, not quite up there." Serah freely admitted. She listened to the other's life story with half an ear. She didn't want to be rude and cut her off.. but honestly, Serah couldnt care less about life stories. Why pour your heart out to a stranger? Useless. Serah couldn't even care less.
"Uh-huh." She murmured, stuffing her empty suitcase under her bed to make more room. "Of course there are good shopping places. Skye, we're at Crystal Academy. The mall over on the next street is excellent. As for my hobbies.. Well, you'll find out, shopping's one of them." She grinned, pulling down her hairband to let her long pink hair down.
".. Want to go later?" She offered, smoothing out her bedsheets. "Nice shoes." She said, looking over her shoulder, an impressed expression crossing her face. She didn't wear heels too often so she avoided them. Flats were more of Serah's style.

Skye loved talking about herself, which is probably one reason that she went on a bit about how she came to be here. She could have easily continued though, telling her new room mate about her horse, the hunting, her father, the house... oh how she missed her house. Skye was going to say something about servants but decided against it, she needed to make friends in this place whether she liked it or not.
"Sure! Always have to check out the shopping. We might find something to cheer this room up with too." She pondered wondering what Serah would like and also wondered why she still had cuddly toys.
"Thanks, I do love shoes, a small addiction of mine. However you need clothes to go with shoes and then you find you are just addicted to shopping." And with her money it didn't really matter that she was addicted to shopping, Her father would pay for it all.

"Well, then it's planned. A shopping date it is." Serah said in a satisfied manner, looking around at her clean half with a content sigh. Their room wasn't half bad.. In fact, it was pretty good. Her new roommate wasn't as horrifying as she could be.. In fact, she was a lot better than Serah originally thought. And Serah had finished packing. Yay~!
It was a good day. Now she could crawl into that bed and take a nap. She was tired from the long trip here and from unpacking. Unpacking took a lot of effort. Contrary to what people might think. They should try it and find how easy unpacking was.
School started tomorrow.
