Humming softly to herself, Ursula made her way down the sidewalk, her hands gently swaying by her sides as her high heels clicked against the concrete pavement.
It was nearly eleven, and the streets were more of a bustle than what she had expected. Being Halloween evening, she'd expected a crowd of children in the neighborhood alongside tired and frustrated parents, but even the small stores and bars between her apartment and her destination were filled with a decent amount of people.
She smiled as she felt soft fur brush against the back of her legs, and she turned back to glance briefly at the adorable tail pinned to her (perfectly shaped) bottom. Her dainty fabric ears were still intact as far as she could tell, and the twenty-two year old glanced at her reflection in the nearby bar's window to ensure they remained straight.
Halloween was certainly not a night for boredom, but with nothing else in mind to do, Ursula had decided to create her own bit of mischief by visiting dear old Obsidian this lonely holiday evening. He was undoubtedly hoarding piles of candy within the confines of his apartment, and Ursula intended to raid his candy, liquor, and horror movie stash this evening to make up for the fact there was no party to attend.
Winking at her reflection, she happily continued down the street, approaching the sidewalk corner. It was a good mile or so to get to Drew's apartment, but the night was cool and relaxing, so a bit of a heeled hike wouldn't hurt her... or so at least she assumed.
A car horn honked, startling her, and she turned to watch as a cream colored station wagon pulled its way up to the sidewalk. A window began to roll down, exposing the middle-aged man behind the wheel.
"Hey baby, you lookin' for some candy? I've got all the sugar you need right in here!"
Ursula turned to look for the person the man was obviously addressing. No one was standing anywhere near her, all still bustled and rowdy within the walls of the nearby bar.
Turning back, she gave him a clueless look. It took her a few moments to put two and two together, but all it took was another corny pick-up line (this one having to do with pussycats) for her to catch his lewd drift.
Her first reaction was to get angry. After all, she was forced to put up with such comments throughout her time in the Negaverse, so to have regular people now commenting about her sexual behavior was going drastically too far.
Instead, however, she remained calm as a quick solution came to mind.
"Trick or treat?" She asked him innocently as she approached the passenger car's window, batting her eyelashes.
It only took moments before the man attempted to persuade her to join him in the car, and Ursula was happy to accomodate his wishes. Stepping into the station wagon, she ensured her tail was out of harm's way of landing in the door, and gave the older gentleman a giant grin at the mention of being given a 'treat' within the next few minutes.
A few blocks later, the car turned in to a darkened alleyway, both driver and passenger smiling widely.
A few minutes after that, and the station wagon was pulling out of the secluded alleyway, this time with a beautiful orange-haired woman behind the wheel.
Whistling to herself, Nealite gently tapped against the steering wheel with one hand as her other hand held out a shimmering seed for her to examine. The body had been easily stashed away in the trunk to be dealt with on another day but today, however, she was going to hit up Drew for a small party, rotting corpses be damned.
Happy with herself, the lieutenant tucked the star seed carefully away and turned up the radio's volume. She decided it was much easier to drive than it was to walk, and she'd end up at Obby's in no time at all. It was a shame she'd have to ditch the car to avoid being caught by the police, but tonight was a night for mischief, a night for joyriding, a night for fun.
And, apparently, a night of playing the best tricks and obtaining the sweetest treats of all!
