((This is back dated, as it was suppose to happen early summer. But do to rl, it had to be held off until now.)) The day had finally come, and in all honesty, no one thought they would get there. But standing out in West Barton park, on the clear cool afternoon they stood. The gazebo shading the bride and groom as they gazed at each other. Soft music played behind the rather large crowd of family and friends, as the onlookers gazed at the beautiful transition from lovers to a union in marriage and life. But to the fairy and the Ijiuo, this meant so much more. It was a finally, after all the centuries. After all the promises, only to never find each other. The countless times of being so close, only to fade. As they heard "You may now kiss your bride." they both smiled as Zhane pulled her veil up and out of her face. Green eyes staring into Aqua, and as their lips met the applause from the those gathered faded away, as the two old souls finally found peace. Even as they held one another on the man-made dance floor, their eyes never left each other, and anyone there could see they were happy. Just being in each others arms. The need to touch, just to know the other was near was there. Only when they had no choice, did they part ways. When Tinania's newfound stepfather asked for a dance, while Krista asked Zhane for a dance. When Zhane's parents welcomed Tinania into their family with hugs, even when Tinania tossed the bouquet, only to laugh when one of her best friends caught it. Nothing could go wrong, so long as they had each other. Though there were tears, from bride and family alike. Tinania bidding her mother, as well as her children, goodbye for awhile. But they were happy tears as Zhane wrapped his arms around his new wife. His hand sweeping her hair behind her ear as he reached for their card to open the door on the boat. A cruise, stopping at Gambino Isle. Although small, it was a nice honeymoon for them. To get away and just be themselves for a week, to relearn each other without the hassles of routine life, and just be happy. Tinania gazes out of the small portal window, looking over the ocean. She smiles as she rested her hands on her stomach. It was a small pain, nothing to really worry about after all. They had been coming and going for most of the ceremony, but they were tolerable. Looking over her shoulder, she grins as she hears the shower from the other room turn off. Their first night as husband and wife. She couldn't help but feel like it was different then any other night.

Overall, Zhane couldn't say he was too crazy about boat living. The small shifts and creaks of the floor had kept him from fully relaxing, even in the shower when he had felt the need to wash away the results of wearing a suit for the last span of hours.
Though he supposed it just took some getting used to...and they did, after all, have an entire week unfurled ahead of them for acclimating themselves to the sea.
The residual joy of the wedding still swelling in his chest, as well as Nani's radiance did well to neatly blot out any complaints he may have had about the arrangement as he grabbed for a towel to dry himself.
They had not yet discussed what they were going to do with their first evening married. The obvious for newlyweds, he felt, was likely not an option in their situation with Tinania this close to term, and so he had long-since dismissed it from his mind.
There had been a flyer on the nightstand, his mind helpfully chimed in, that advertised the ship's scheduled events. Surely there was any number of things for them to do with their night....
Hanging his hopes on that for the moment, he dressed himself and emerged from the bathroom, wet hair still plastered to his scalp in some places as he watched Nani at the window before approaching to link his arms about her waist from behind, resting his hands over her own.
"How are you feeling?" he asked, giving her a small squeeze, and rewarded by the child within her giving an irate kick at the disturbance, making him just as quickly ease his grip again.

Resting back against Zhane, Tinania smiles as she nods slowly "Alittle sore, and alittle pain. But that pretty normal for me at this point. More then anything, I am still happy from earlier today." linking her fingers through his, she gives them a squeeze "Rather enjoying the fact that I can say I'm married, to a rather awesome man I might add."
Under their hands, the baby gives a rather hard kick to Tinania's right side. This actually causes her to wince for a brief moment.

"I think it takes an equally awesome woman to make an awesome man." he chuckled, one palm straying from her touch to rub at the swollen slope of her belly a bit, as if the gesture might soothe the little one, though in the times past he had done it, he had yet to see it have an effect.
He did not need to see Nani wince to know it had been a hard kick. Even HE had felt its force on the flat of his palm.
The doctor had told them they would see a steady rise in activity from the baby as the due date drew nearer, though he doubted either of them had expected quite THIS much.
"You feel like laying down for a bit?" he offered, presenting the option in case the thought had crossed her mind and she'd been abstaining in worry of ruining the evening.
As far as he was concerned, it didn't really matter -what- they did, as long as his time was spent at her side.

Shaking her head, Tinania turns so she is facing Zhane. With a smile, she leans up to brush her lips against his cheek "I'm alright, as quick as the pain comes its gone. Beside, I think laying out on the deck sounds alot nicer. We can look up at the stars, just like you love." taking a step away, she holds her hand out towards Zhane.
her other hand rest on her stomach, moving in a soothing motion. The baby was more active then normal. And she was hiding the fact that the pain was coming alot faster then normal. But this was her honeymoon, and she was going to enjoy it.

A twinge of unease tweaked the back of his mind, but was quickly pushed out of hand as he supposed Nani knew her own body best. And if she said it wasn't that bad....
"The deck sounds good to me." he heard himself say, nuzzling the top of her head affectionately. "We could see what they're doing about dinner tonight, and maybe eat while it gets darker?"

Laughing, Tinania shakes her head as Zhane nuzzle her. Pulling away, she nods as she waddles her way towards the door "Mmm dinner does sound good. I could honestly use a loaded baked potato right now." pausing in mid step, she place her hand on her stomach again. The pain alot worse then before.
Taking in a few deep breaths, she rubs at her stomach. The child was more restless then normal. It was almost worrying to Tinania, but each time the child settled. Maybe the baby was just hungry also.

Zhane had been one step ahead of her, moving ahead to try and beat her to the door and hold it open for her (as a proper gentleman, or at least the husband of a heavily-pregnant spouse OUGHT to).
However, even as he placed his hand on the knob, looking over his shoulder back at her with a smile, it faded away as he watched her, locked in place, hands on her stomach.
"Are you sure you're all right...?" he ventured, concern creeping back into his voice. "Because I mean, I could bring something back for us to eat here..."

Tinania hands were on her stomach, as she winces again. Shaking her head, she clench her teeth together as she rides out the pain. As she opens her eyes, they grow wide as she looks up at Zhane "Zhane...I don't think I am going anywhere..." her breathing came out in quick breaths as she felt liquid running down her legs.
"Zhane....I think...we may need the doctor..."

The hand that held the doorknob grew lax and then slipped away from it, his eyes widening.
This....no, this wasn't how this was supposed to unfold, his mind yammered at him. They'd been over the game plan several times at home....when the time finally came, they were going to call the hospital, drive everyone there, call his mother to come pick up the kids, call Krista, and take it from there.
Quick, painless, organized. They even had the overnight bag packed already and sitting by the bedroom door. His mind held a picture of it clearly, sitting alone and quiet against the wall where they'd left it, safe and waiting.
And now they were on a boat, floating in the middle of the water and....he had no IDEA what to do.
Teeth sinking into his lip, he approached her, taking her by an arm to guide her back to the bed. "Here, just...just....sit down, okay?" he said, trying and failing to keep his voice steady as his other hand was already groping for the phone. "I'll get somebody."
WHO, he was not sure, but surely someone on a boat was equipped to deal with things like this, he felt.
He HOPED...

Rubbing at her belly, Tinania winces again as pain hits her again. Breathing in slowly, she nods to Zhane as she tips her head back. The child picked a great time to decide to come into this world, while they were on water. They were suppose to be on the way to the hospital when this happened.
Clenching her teeth, she whimpers between them as she bites back a scream.

Once he had the receiver situated against his ear, he found for a few horrible moments all he could do was stare uselessly down at the number pad as one finger jittered a few inches over the keys.
Who did he call first...? More importantly, who would be the most help right now?
His eyes flickered over a small sticker depicting a cheerfully smiling parrot with a word bubble emerging from its mouth that declared 'Our staff can be reached to assist you at any time of the day. Press "0" to speak with a Gambino Isle Cruises staff member!'
He did not so much press it as he did mash it, along with several other keys, adrenaline hopping through his veins as Nani mewled in discomfort beside him.
There were nearly four seconds of dead air before someone connected.
"Yes, may I help you?" a woman's voice inquired that sounded surreally calm against the circumstances.
"This is cabin 48C." he heard himself say in a voice that shook as he groped for one of Nani's hands to hold in his own, giving her fingers a reassuring squeeze. "We think--I mean we're pretty sure...." He paused, taking a deep breath to calm himself. "My wife just went into labor." he managed.
There was a startled silence on the other end of the line, and then a furious ticking of a keyboard.
"How long ago, sir?"
"I dunn--just NOW I guess...!" he paused, hastily rethinking this. "I mean...she was having a little pain since we got on the boat, but it only just now got bad for her and--"
He knew he was rambling, but that didn't mean he could stop himself.
"Is there anything you can do for her...?"

Tinania couldn't help it, but the moment Zhane's hand found its way into hers, she squeezes it hard as she bites back another scream. With her eyes closed, she feels the beads of sweat forming over her skin. Her breathing labors a little as the contraction slows for a moment.
Opening her eyes, she looks towards Zhane as she coughs alittle. Looking away, she tilts her head back. Slow and easy, as long as she didn't feel the need to push, everything was okay.

A few hasty words were exchanged as the staff member he'd been connected to assured him they would be sending the ship's on-board medical staff to their room immediately and, until then, to try and remain calm.
There had been something else said about an emergency docking, but to be honest, he hadn't heard it as his attention was rightfully focused on Nani and her pain.
No goodbyes were said, and the phone was dropped to the floor instead of being hung up as he shifted in beside her to hold her as best as he was able.
"They're sending doctors, its going to be all right, okay?" he soothed in a voice that tried to be confident and assure her things were back in the realm of control. Within him, his stomach knotted in worry as he smoothed hair away from her face.

Tinania gave Zhane a weak smile before she whimpers. Breathing quickly, she dug her nails into the sheets of the bed as she shakes her head "Zhane, I don't think this baby is going to wait." her contractions were getting close together, and the pain was so intense that she wanted to just push.
Tilting her head back, she tries to take in a few calming deep breaths. But even this wasn't helping. If the doctor get here soon, this baby was going to come without him.
