~Story~

Long ago when the Earth was at peace, both land and water was working together side by side. Despite their peace, no water creatures set foot on land due to human harassment of the more narrow minded. This was a great anger to the world of water, since humans were coming and going from both land and sea, taking the sea’s resources for their own and not allowing the creatures of the deep to harvest anything from their land. This bitter hatred grew decade by decade, resulting in a thin layer of piece that could snap at any second from the tiniest of actions from either side.

One land however was still peaceful, the Land of Blossoms. It stood in the middle of the Vast Ocean and was the founding place of all land creatures. Long ago, all land use to be connected to this one island, but eruption caused the land to separate into four separate land masses. At the top of the world was the Land of Ice, supporting humans and creatures of ice such as Yetis and the Polar Bear Tribes. This land was one of the smallest and every creature there was use to the intense winters. The east side of the world contained the Swamp Lands, a home to humans and swamp beasts, like the lizard men and Insectoid Tribes. This land was the largest of all the land masses and was the only land to support water based beings. The land to the west was the Land of Flames, supporting very few humans, but vast amounts of tribes that could survive the heat, like the Scorpion men and Naga tribes. This land was only dwarfed by the Swamp Lands in size, being the second largest land mass on the planet. It also held many deserts and tropical jungles due to its extreme heated weather. The last land was far to the south at the bottom of the world, the Land of Night. Its times of daylight were shorter than any other piece of land, a perfect home to creatures of the dark such as the Bat and Driddler tribes. Humans in this land had evolved to suit the darkness, becoming nocturnal creatures that fed on the blood of others for nutrients. Each piece of land, though separate from the Land of Blossoms, was linked.

Each land possessed a tree that gave the land life, each tree being different based on its environment. The Land of blossom was the center piece of these new lands, A giant blossoming cherry tree... the grand center of life for the whole planet. It was the only place with peace on the world, having great beauty and clean waters. This place was sacred to humans and was placed as the creation of all life. The creatures of water were not born from the tree however, but from their own tree of life deep in the sea. It was first known by the Land of Ice that the trees were vital for land, without them, no land could exist. This was soon discovered by the creatures of water and a war campaign began to destroy each tree. The forces of water were too much for each land, and they eventually fell

Soon every land excluding the Land of Blossoms was sunk into the ocean after it's tree was killed. Tribes from every part of the world that survived moved by sea to the Land of Blossoms to defend it from the remaining water army. The army of water was numerous and the government decided that the remaining numbers would all they would get in order to destroy the final piece of land. Both sides shared equal numbers in army count, thus creating a stalemate between the two sides. The creatures of land now fight the creatures of water to defend their last home, the last hope for survival for every creature that walks on the Earth.

It’s been thousands of years since that war and it still is on today, but less extreme due the stale mate created by both sides. Tribes now live in separate sections of the circle-like island that is the Land of Blossoms. Each tribe having a separate property equal to its neighbors, but some smaller tribes like the White Tiger Tribe, is forced to share with their cousins, the Tiger Tribe. Rare tribes are also forced to share and as population rise for the whole island. Soon it would be overpopulated after a decade. One answer was discovered at the Temple of Life that could solve the problem. The High Priestess of the temple had discovered the Tree of Life has seeds and these seeds could in turn create new land if planted on small pieces of land, creating mass islands. However, no one knows where these seeds are or what they look like or are.

The present is a time of conflict as the land creatures try desperately hold on to their homes. Some sea creatures sympathize for the creatures of land, joining them in their struggle to create land. These rebels often life in the Lake of Allies, specifically designed by the High Priestess for those willing to aid the cause. Humans take the land in the middle of the island being the most technically advanced tribe among all others. The other races that had human qualities were in separate pockets all across the land, but most of the Land of Blossoms was covered in wild forests of great beauty, filled with deadly creatures such as dragons and the uncivilized trolls. A few trolls had begun to form a tribe, but it was only starting out very small. Each race contributed to the army of land, despite the hatred between some tribes.

Ice tribes

Yeti tribe
They would be big brawlers, with no magical abilities, much like the polarbear tribe but more monstrous looking, and often times feared. they make grate protectors and despite their wicked appearance make good body guards

Polar Bear tribe
Much like the yeti tribe only more human looking, with the exception of their beautiful white fur. They have very little magic, what they do have is generally water based. they live happily with the yeti tribe, and still do live together peacefully with them.

Swamp tribes

Lizardmen tribes
for the most part they are quick hitters... another species with little to no magic.. .and a species known for having little intelligence, but that is changing as all the species integrated you can tell them apart from the amphibian tribes by their dragon like scales which can very greatly in color

amphibious tribes
Much like the lizardmen tribes, but more evolved, the only land species naturally able to breath under water and on land, they have strong magical abilities and are often used as diplomats to speak to the water nation. you can tell them apart by their slimy scales.

Desert Tribes

Naga and scorpion tribes
Peculiar tribes both enable with the ability to poison, not particularily strong in any catagory, but not particularily weak either.
The naga basically look half human, but thier lower half is that of a snake, and they slither around rather than walk.
the Scorpionmen tribes are completely scaled, and all of their scales are black except for maybe one or two of them, they have a long tail (like a scorpion) that can inject poison into it's victims. they stand upright like men... but their body seems more like a dragons without wings... (kind of like bahamut from final fantasy 10, but much smaller and with a scorpions tail)

Dark tribes

Bat tribe
an unevolved species that dwells up in caves during the day and come out to feed at night, contrary to popular belief they don't drink blood, rather they eat their pray whole, using their large gaping mouths. they are also rather smart and despite their primitive life many do leave the caves to become scholars., no magical ability whatsoever. best used for speed and espionage, and they can fly.

Driddler tribes
an evolved species of the bat tribe, that has lost their wings and traded them for arms. Basically vampires... they are very fast and rather strong but nothing compared to a yeti. they are usually very pale, and will sunburn very easily but the sun does not cause them to explode or burst into flame. they don't practice, white magic at all. however they have the uncanny ability to hypnotize... which they mostly use on their pray... they take special precautions to avoid killing animals (they make sure not to drink all their blood) because if they do kill the animal by robbing it of too much of blood it will become vampiric as well.

other

Cat tribes-
very flamboyant species as a whole, takes pride in appearance, and homosexual relations are nothing new in this species, because all differences are embraced, and everyone is cared for by one another... much like a very large family that all obey's one alpha male, lion, anyone can challenge him for the throne at any time though

---Neko- very fast and very agile with high magic power, but little attack power, they look like a human cat hybrid, with human skin, but furred cat ears, a tail, claws and fangs... it is believed that 50% of neko's are member's of another tribe who used magic to become a neko.
---tiger and lion- decently fast and stronger then a driddler but still weaker than a yeti, with no magical ability, they are covered in fur. they are basically the best hunters of any tribe
---white tiger- same as a regular tiger, but more rare.

Dog tribes-very protective and territorial species, like to have their own designated spot, much like the cat tribe, they are like a family, however they break up into packs, but in that pack everyone is loved and cared for by each other.

---Inu, much like the Neko tribe but with a little less magical ability, appearances very greatly! some still walk on all four legs, others have no fur and walk on two, having only dog ears and a tail and a few other things
---wolf tribes the most adaptable species, basically exactly like the Inu tribe but with little to no magical ability, they are incredibly smart, and aren't afraid to retreat if it means saving the pack, there aren't as many of them as their are dogs, and the wolf and dog tribes will often break out into miniature "wars"

Humanoid tribes
---Humans the naturally smartest beings on the planet, with moderate speed, no magic, and relatively low fighting ability... you would think they would be the most vulnerable, however they are actually one of the most powerful and numerous tribes, able to adapt to any situation in a blink of an eye, crafty humans often find a way to survive.
---Elves
Like humans but with intense magical abilities, fairies are the only known creatures to have more magical abilities than elves, although the Neko's do get incredibly close, a well trained neko could beat a mediocre elf any day. relatively fast, however they use the earth for everything and view technology as useless.

harpy tribes.
---northern, the only branch of the tribe incapable of flight, they however, are even faster swimmers than the amphibious tribes , with their fin like wings, basically human with two flipper like wings instead of arms, however they do still bend and have fingers like arms. with higher water magic than any other species.
---eastern a dark species, sometimes called air devils, their wings have lost all feathers and look more like pteradactyl wings, jutting out of it's back, still making it able to fly and use it's arms at the same time. naturally the best at fire magic.
---southern a bizzare dark species that only exists because of a cross breed of the driddler and harpy tribes, their arms are their wings, and instead of a nose and mouth they have a large beak, they naturally give off a sense of disaster and are view as a bad omen, they can see things normal creatures cannot (like ghosts and specters) because of their bizzare vision. they do not possess magic
---western The most colorful of all the species, they have feathered wings coming out of their backs, in many different tropical colors, from royal blues and purples, to hot reds and yellows, some are even just white, and are called angel wings.. even though it is just a defect in the pigment of their wings. the specialize in earth/grass magic.

This is a basic breakdown of it, basically any tribe can be any class, except mages and status effecters, because some tribes just don't have that ability.
and you don't have to pick a class... I included this to help you know what type of tribe would be best for whatever class you want your character to be.

Biography: When she was younger she lost her parent's to a water raid on her hometown... the entire place massacred in front of her being saved only by a last ditch effort by her father... leaving her to be the last remaining member of the celestials.. a powerful and rare tribe, with Magical powers that out rank most elves, however the magic they can use depends on the time of the day. The morning following the massacre she was awakened as the High Priestess, hand chosen by the tree herself, and she was brought to the capital city. Many Tribes are cautious of Rikku because of her tribe that they know so little about. and others worship her because her people were almost considered gods. as she walks her dress and cloak seem to float almost as gravity doesn't effect her... when she walks through the city, she walks with such grace that she almost looks like she is floating, despite how short she is.
Personality: Kind, Gentle, and very softspoken. Her voice rings like a bell, and she can sing beautifly. Her Pale skin and ethereal beauty have gained her many marriage proposals, but she has turned them all down stating. “I am sorry, however I don't feel like now is a good time to be getting married. She is a kind soul that hates violence, but if you threaten any thing or one that is precious to her... she won't hesitate to unleash her celestial magic full force.

Appearance: Average build, chestnut brown hair with dark green eyes. he's one of the Inu types that have no fur and walks on hind legs, though he is able to run on all fours like other Inu types, which he uses in battle and hunting. His ears and tail are that of a german shepard.
Biography: Sorta an average life for a Inu. His father was a warrior and his mother was the daughter of one of the Hunters, those skills were taught to him by the father and grand father. His grandfather passed away and his father is getting close to that time. He became one of the best in honor of his grandfather and father.
Personality: Warrior and Hunter for his pack. Malik is reconized among the dog tribes as a skilled warrior. He is loyal to his pack, and any non pack people he calls friends. When dress for battle their is no one more serious, but when he's not hunting or fighting he's a very likable guy.

Biography: Born the only son of a Mage couple. Alex was announced blind at a young age, however he isn't truly blind, rather he sees energy. Magical, emotional, adrenaline, chi , heat, any sort of energy. he is also able to place a scent of an energy to something. He says all things contain energy, but people are simple unable to see it. The rocks, the trees, the water, everything holds energy, and he is able to manipulate that energy, manipulate the energy, manipulate the object, physically atleast. He's tried many times to manipulate people emotionaly with no end, however animals seem to be able to fall under his will, for a time. He's tried on a few tribe members that he has come across, it seemed that the free will of humans and the tribes seems to trump his ability. He currently is homeless, his parents having passed on their knowledge and wealth to his younger sister. But he takes it all in stride. He currently makes home along the streets of the human city.
Personality: A very calm person, he is able to change how he acts to make him more acceptable to others, though being blind has it's challenges, but he isn't bitter about it. He says that way he saves himself the trouble of having too look at the ugly mug of some thug. He is very knowledgable even to the point of being able to outsmart a scholar.

Biography: Born to a low standing family, his mother died at his birth and his father hated him for it. A child was hard for a single low ranking merchant to take care of. He ended up selling his son to a rather shady character, this man ended up being a member of a cult. the cult planned to sacrifice Dimitri in order to summon a demon. The Demon was summoned but killed it's summoners and burried it's power into Dimitri. His left arm was transformed into that of the demons. His eye was lost during the ritural but he can't remember when.
Personality:He can be rather cold and uncarring at times. He keeps to himself and hates it if people know about his arm. He fears that people will look at him as a freak. So he prefers to stay away from contact of anyone. But really he is a very caring guy who'll listen to your problems and help in anyway he can, though you'd never guess it.

Appearance: She has long auburn hair (which she keeps braided down her back at all time). Her face is delicate, but her eyes are a little too large for her face. Her eye color is a light jade, but they sometimes go black and almost hollow looking. She is slender, but not skinny, with well toned muscles. She carries herself with an aloof confidence that makes her seem as if she's in a trance at times. She conceals her weaponry very well, only carrying her favored weapon, her katana, in the open, at her hip or on her back, depending on what kind of danger she senses that day. She wears a dark-colored (color varies, but deep purples and greens are her favorites) kimono-like top that extends to 5 inches above her knee. The sleeves are loose, but have cuffs at her wrists. The pants have a style similar to the sleeves (both have many hidden pockets). The pants are tucked into light, soft, black-leather boots that reach to about mid-calf. She wears light armor under her clothes, but won't wear anything that inhibits her movement.
Biography: Her mother was driddler, and her father was human. They lived in the capital city because her parents' relationship wasn't entirely accepted by her mother's family. Her mother was a bard, and her father was a sort of a rouge that disguised himself as a hunter. They both fought to protect the only place that both of their people had left to live. Because of this her mother died when she was 10 years old. Her father, loving her, but not knowing how to protect her and teach her at the same time, he took her to the dojo of a good friend of his to study ninjutsu. She still lives in the capital city, and is still close with her father, but she lives alone. Her motivation to find more land is that her mother's people are generally loners, and don't always interact well with other people, and she worries about civil war if the peoples of the Land of Blossoms continue to reproduce as rapidly as they currently are. She knows that if the peoples were to start fighting amongst themselves that it would give the water tribe enough of a chance to wipe out all of the peoples of the land.
Personality:On the inside she truly wishes for peace for everyone, but she has a somewhat pessimistic view of the world. She is quiet, calculating, and guarded; she is also ready to strike whenever threatened.

Biography: Being an elf, Many people expected Jaden to use magic over melee, but he always ran head on into combat with out much use of spells. His parents had taken away his weapons, and robes away from him multiple times, but he always managed to get them back, while tossing away the magic books, and staves they handed him. He never liked his parents too much for them always trying to force him into learning more magic.
Personality: Prefers melee combat over magic. Kind and caring of others, and does not like to fight with friends. Will defend his allies, and falls easily for the women.

Biography: Not much is known about ty other than he has had a rather lonely life up until now... but on the night of the redmoon festival, 5 years ago he met Lady Sara they were both young, and they instantly fell in love... but fate has kept them seperate, all this time...
Personality: He pretends to be kind of badass "I don't need anyone" type of person, but he is actually quite respectful and desires to make friends, especially after his lonely childhood

Biography: Melody was born in the feline city, youngest of 5 siblings. Much like the children in TerraCotta, Melody had wondered why there were so many soldiers throughout what seemed to be the peaceful city she grew up in. Raised by her grandfather, the city’s priest, had mentioned to them stories about the Life Trees, but it wasn’t until 4 months ago that people were being encouraged to join dangerous training and join the army force. All of her siblings, abandoning what magic they had learned up to that point, took up swords and left to “make names for themselves”. Melody, not being much of a fighter, stayed at home while her grandfather helped her to prefect her healing. None of them returned home; instead, there were three death certificates, and one taken to the hospital in such a vegetable state, he was then killed out of mercy. Heartbroken, she couldn’t find the will to stay in the city any longer. Her grandfather, seeing her pain but at first reluctant for her safety (after all, she was only 14 and had already lost all his other children), agreed it was time for her to make her own path in the world and learn. Before leaving, he explained to her the earth’s full history, as well as handed her her oldest brother’s lucky charm, the one who she was closest to and who returned home vegetated and then killed. Apparently he had asked his grandfather before leaving to war to give it to Melody when he died.

Personality: A bubbly character, Melody is a very caring creature and tends to come off as slightly overly curious, which may or may not get her into sticky situations on occasion. Seeming younger than most who leave home and being kind of short doesn't help, despite having respect and being somewhat mature for her age.]

Biography: He was born, and raised in the outskirts of the feline city. His father passed away before he was born, so he never knew what its like to have a father figure. His mother raised him since birth, teaching him offensive magic, and the use of weaponry. By the age of ten, he had come to liking the use of great axes, and excelled with them, than the other weapon. He knows some use of swords, but just enough in case he is unable to use his axe. Upon reaching the age of twelve, he had come across the axe he now carries. He was wandering in the forest one day when he had come across a temple. Despite knowing the dangers, he entered it. Many creatures roamed inside, but he felt something calling to him, something he had never felt before. Following the call, and fighting the creatures inside, he came across a large room, with only a large axe sitting in the middle. He knew that was what was calling him. It beckoned him to touch it, hold it in his grasp, feel its strength. Slowly walking towards it, he reached out his hands, and grabbed hold. Power surged through him, a power he had never felt before, it was like ecstasy. He knew this axe belonged to him, he saw the history before his eyes, his father owned this axe, as well as his grandfather, and their father and so on before fainting.

Waking up in his bed, he looked about, his mother standing over him. She stared at him as the axe leaned against the wall besides the bed. She seemed to whisper something before walking out of the room with tears in her eyes. Sitting up, Larris got out of his bed, and walked off into the room his mother was in. "You have found it... I had hopped this day would never come. That axe in there, is your father's, which now belongs to you. Soon now, you will wish to travel the world, and explore the lands just like your father, protecting the weak, and helping those that need it." She looked over at him, and gave him a hug, and a kiss on the fore head with tears in her eyes.

She was right, a few days later, Larris was gone from the home, on adventures, helping others, an taking care of those that where in need.

Personality: Fun loving, and carefree. Kind and caring, and loves nature. During a fight, he is all about true strength, and offensive magic.

Personality: He has a tendancy to be very spoiled, and will pout when he doesn't get his way, but that isn't his fault... being a child of king leo and the only boy, and the crown prince, will cause that, he is also very openly gayand doesn't care who knows

Ken sat leaned against the stone entryway to the Temple, the holy area where the Sakura Tree resided, along with the High Priesstes. He had made a vow to himself that he would do anything he could to protect the tree and peace. In his arms he held two swords wrapped in purple cloth.

"I made a vow to protect peace, and this is the best way to do it." Ken responded. "So, as long as I'm still breathing, high priesstes, I will protect this temple, this tree....and you, if the need arises." he said.

"I guess it would be ok if I left my post for a little bit." Ken said. He stood up and dusted himself off. "Shall we?" he asked, walking towards down.
