Right in time for Halloween right? What are some of your favorite scary movies?
I get to see "the Shining" tonight. I have never seen it! So excited.

My favorite scary movies are mostly Japanese or Spanish but I like a few American ones too.

Ringu, the Others, the Omen, 1408, the Orphan and the Orphanage are just some I can think of off the top of my head.

I'm not really a scary movie person because I tend not to fall into the story line...and just make fun of things and crack jokes. ^_^; But I don't mind watching them every now and then.
@ Yama: The Shining was a pretty good scary movie - Hope you enjoy it.

The top movie I always watch during the Halloween season is Hocus Pocus. Never get sick of it. XD

Ones that seriously scarred me for life:
1.) Dream Catcher - Don't ever see that movie if you ever want to use the bathroom ever again.
 2.) One of the SAWs...I forgot which, but the one where the chick has to dive into a pit of dirty needles. GAH... >_<;;;

And I haven't seen it, but kinda want to with a group of people is Hostel. I heard it was creepy as heck, but I don't want to go see it alone. LOL.

Hostel is just sort of more gorey....Some people think it's an awesome movie because they like that aspect of it... I personally don't have much of a desire to see it. I like gore to an extent and I've seen some flashes of the movie and I'm disinterested. That's not to say that it's too gorey or not gorey enough or lacks plot or screaming women but meh. It's just not for me.

I saw that movie! biggrin only recently though. I saw them all within practically the same week last year haha. The Saws, that is. Was Dream Catcher the one about that thing that crawled out of the toilet or am I thinking of Windigo or whatever? I don't remember. They were both books right? By Stephen King?

Every time I went over a friend's house to watch a movie I always secretly wanted to watch Hocus Pocus. I didn't own it. Still don't. >: Haha. It's okay though. smile Just so long as its nearby somewhere LOL.

Yeah I heard Hostel was all gory and stuff, but I htink the concept seems so weird that I just wnat to check it out. I mean, what crazed business man would want to chop people up? o.o?
And yeah, Dream Catcher was by Stephen King...but no the monster doesn't come out of the toilet...more like there's an alien in some guy's stomache, and well, when it was ready to come out he exploded in the bathroom. O_O;;;; That freaked me out so much. I couldn't go into a bathroom for the rest of the night.

 As for Hostel..
It's based off of myth at least. I don't know about underground truth though. I should look it up. I'm not that surprised actually about it. I mean, everyone at some point has thought "how could someone kill another person?" some people experience absolute disgust after this thought, and some people experience curiosity...some people experience some kind of twisted euphoric daydream that makes a murderer. xD We're planning on watching Skele' key tonight. Me and Yama that is. *snuggle snuggle* Lol. I think... Our room mate is going to have a crazy party. kdjfhaksd. oh well. xD

The Skeleton Key was awesome! I reallyl iked it but watching the trailer kinda teed me off.
They said the writer of the "Ring" wrote the Skeleton Key, but it was a American writter and "the Ring" is a stolen concept from "Ringu" a Japanese movie.

Ha ha don't get me started. Anyone seen The Departed? That is practically a scene for scene remake of Infernal Affairs. Now don't get me wrong, they did a good job but the awards they got for that film were not merited. Scary film? I liked 'The Chaser' (though that wasn't really scary). I watched 'Black Kiss' last night that was pretty cool (yet again scare factor low). Lots of suspence in those though. Im going on so i'll stop
