before i start with some things I've seen in other guilds that seems to help or hinder them, i want to say this. I'm not trying to be too forward or try to take control. Its JUST notes from what I have seen. If you decide to act on them great, if not ok.

i think we need to be more organized. make sub-forums for begging (though I'm personally against begging), contests, and other fun things.

Also we need to get sigs, so we can find more people. We might want to wait on that though, knowing that this guild will take take to form, and earn enough gold.

When it comes to contests we need rules, beginning and ending dates, and all other stuff that goes along with contests. maybe make a sub-forum for contests.

i think it would be cool to make a sub-forum for people with cool aquariums to post in, since this helps MANY people gain gold easily.

I noticed a lot of people want to do avi art, so why not make a sub-forum for art, and let each person have their own page within the sub-forum. they can sell or whatever they chose.

We need more fun events, otherwise the guild will slow down and possibly die. With events it can be within just the guild forum. or maybe in towns, zOMG, and where ever else. this should include the contests

If we do a lot of sub-forums, they will cost. so we will need donation days, so the guild can grow. maybe keep track of who has been given gold and over time they start to help pay off a "debt" (not a literal one since this is a free guild) but people who never donate only take can hurt the guild

I STRONGLY AGREE with having a seperate account only 1 or 2 people run. this account would only serve as a guild bank! it wouldn't post in the forums, nor count as any vote in a contest, to keep things fair. To keep track of donations, you will need to keep a PRIVATE journal on the account. A separate page for each person. With this you will also need a page for gold going out from contests. Maybe people can only when big contests once a season (3 months) smaller ones maybe once a month.

You would want to separate the donations to the guild (for sub-forums) and donations to the guild for contests. Only the guild leader, or the most trusted person should run the account.

maybe even once a month do a total count to see who donated the most, and they could win a item. This may get you more donations. But remember to show the difference between types of donations.

we need to really find ways to keep people interested, maybe a monthly newsletter through the new messaging system for guilds (guild announcements) so they look and see we are still here. on the announcement can have the newest contests, and what not. (another reason for the GUILD donations)
