"I get to see Lauss-teacheeer~! I get to see Lauss-teacheeeer~" Rhian cheered in sing-song as she skipped along, walking next to her Mama as they headed over to talk to Lee. Never mind that the talk was to lay down clear rules of behavior for the two alters, or that it was hardly a visit for fun, Rhian was nevertheless overjoyed, and she'd dressed up in a simple yet pretty white sundress just for this occasion, the skirt perhaps shorter than Ellandra would have liked, but the flutterby was so proud of the simple article of clothing - having actually made it herself, albeit with a lot of help from the seamstress she assisted - that there was no way Ellandra could tell her not to wear it.

"Calm down a little, Rhian," the brunette called out, stepping along at a more sedate pace. "It hasn't been that long since you last saw Lauss."

Lauss sat on his bed, legs folded as he looked over yet another text book, sighing softly as he flipped through the pages. How many times had he read this? Was it twenty-two now? Honestly, it was hard to keep count, especially when he could think of nothing but Rhian. How was she? Was she thinking of him? Had she, perhaps, found someone more worth her time? He sighed again, this time a bit more depressed than usual. He missed her...

Lee poked her head into his room, not bothering to knock, knowing Lauss was the last person who needed privacy. "Hey, what do you want for dinner?"

"I'm not hungry at the moment, Miss Lee. Whatever Rory would like to make will be fine." He gave her a reassuring nod, though looked to be anything but his usual pleasant mood.

Lee sighed, leaning against the doorway. "It'll be fine. You'll see Rhian soon enough. Maybe even this weekend, if you're lucky." And with that, Lee left the alter to wallow in his own self-pity. She felt bad, sure, but there wasn't much she could do about it, and she wasn't the best at cheering people up.

Faolan gritted his teeth at Rhian's actions, but held his tongue. He was beginning to think he'd backhanded the wrong Essentic all those months ago. It made him happy to not have to be Rhian's owner at the moment, but he wished Elle would keep her on a tighter leash, so to speak.

Bustling about in the kitchen, Rory heard the front door open followed by voices. He tensed slightly before recognizing it was the Gradys and poked his head out to greet them. "Come on in. Lee's in th' back an' I'm makin' dinner. Feel free t' make yourselves comfortable in th' den."

Rhian sensed Faolan's anger and cowered away from him a bit, her antennae dimming. "I'm sorry, Faolan," she said softly, edging behind Ellandra and looking around for Lauss. "Lauss-teacher, Lauss-teacher! Down here!"

Ellandra, meanwhile, laid a hand on Faolan's arm to calm him a bit, and smiled at Lee. "Hello, Lee, we need to talk a bit, I think."

Rhian was here? Lauss hesitated at first before rushing down the hall and finding Rhian with the rest of the Gradys, standing still behind Lee and looking at the flutter-by alter. What was he allowed to do at the moment? Could he talk to her? Could he hug her? No, that seemed out of the question. He was content with just being able to look at her again, though, his eyes glued to her face, scanning it and attempting to remember every last detail, in case they were ever separated again.

Stepping aside to let everyone in, Lee gestured to the next room where everyone could congregate, heading toward a chair and plopping down comfortably, wondering what this might be about. She had her suspicions, considering Rhian had tagged along.

Faolan nodded, laying the twins down on a blanket he'd set out on the floor for them. "Elle an' me ain't always home an' th' Essentics ain't always in school. We donnae want t' keep them apart, but we also donnae need them gettin' naked wi' each other, either."

Rory leaned in the doorway of the den, arms folded across his chest. "W' ain't always home, either. Da suggested w' put Lauss in daycare t' help wi' his social issues. Might help Rhian wi' her rules issue an' let them visit wi' each other while supervised."

"That. . . . that just might be a very good idea, Lee," Ellandra said thoughtfully, thinking of the merits such an idea had. Rhian, however, had a completely different opinion.

"Baby-school?!?!?" Rhian half-yelped, half-whimpered. "you want to make me go to a baby-school? Why?!?" Ellandra facepalmed again, exasperated by the pseudoteen's histrionics.
