This Decision Affects EVERYONE in the U.S.!!! So Give us your Opinion!

Some say it's the depression! Some say it's the end of the world! Some even claim that this may be scare tactics to get the world in the right direction by some secrete organization operated by foreign countries all over the world! Either way...

We are still up s**t creek without a paddle..

Banks across the U.S. including of the big names, Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, all of them, were found with their hands in the cookie jar. BUT, not EVERYONE! Top executives, who can claim the fifth in courts on behalf of their employees are going to be retiring in the next five years, all at different times. They are expecting to claim the 401K's that they have been collecting since they were just bank employees working at the scattered branches. Do you know how much money that is? We are talking 3.2-10 Million EACH IN U.S money!

That means more taxes, higher taxes, less pay raises, all of which you deserve if you have worked hard.

Now the debate. Do we GIVE these Bank Officials the ENTIRE portion of their 401K knowing that they MAY or MAY NOT have been involved with all the bank scandals that have happened this year?

Psst.. tone it down a just a smidge? oO
The large font is probably going to turn off quite a few people.

This is an issue which I would love to discuss but it has potential to become very volatile. My opinions are not popular and I am unapologetic about that.

I feel we are in dire need of an America First policy. Basically, sorting out our own garbage before getting our hands dirty for others. That means sealing the borders.
[boo-hoo insert No Human is Illegal crap here. I've heard it all.] and that we stop giving billions of dollars to Israel every year.

Pretty simple stuff but not a lot of the populace is in love with those concepts.

No I agree with you. Foreign policy with the U.S. seems only to harm our economy while failing at making us look less like, "World Police," which is the main reason the U.S. is just opening its pocket book to subside the possibility of another Iraq, "opps, he hurt mah daddy lets keeellll him," kinda deal.

But that's why I tried a main focus. In our borders, should we be allowing the people that are suppose to be helping our economy, to get away with bending the U.S over and forcing it to spell RUN?

It's crazy. No. They do not deserve their money. If they care about their country they should be working their asses off to get the U.S and its people the money the people THEY trusted most stole from them.... and if it takes their entire 401K so be it! So what if they have to live in a beach house in malibu instead of Jamaica, cry me a river!

Sorry if I got off topic.
So far as the bankers and execs and whatnot are concerned?

I've always hated that someone who sits in a corner office makes more money than a hard-working citizen
who breaks their backs for ten hours a day only to get laid off every other quarter. I'm not sure tapping into their 401k is the answer. Few reasons.
One - once you start hitting ANY 401k(s) they ALL have potential to be hit.
and - 401k(s) have depleted a great deal.

My boyfriend has a 401k worth about two grand. He worked damn hard for that and it used to be worth FIVE grand.
This is supposed to be his retirement money and 3/5 of it is gone. If it were me I would cash the damned thing out and shove the money I have left under the mattress
(so to speak)

I don't have a solution for the fat cats who currently are making off like bandits. They should have been HEAVILY taxed from the start but they weren't. If they had any sense of honor they would take only what they need to retire. Mind, not how much they need to maintain current lifestyles but enough to live on and put the rest of it toward fixing their mistakes.

You can get off topic all you want. ^^ I like your opinions, they are straight to the point and honest, I like that.

Agreed fully. But then again, it goes back to the people being more trusted than they should be towards banks and the government, we cannot dissuade them from turning their backs on those they believe they can trust.... which is bothersome really....

I read a newspaper article in the Wall Street Journal that ONE, count it, ONE bank executive, who was not openly involved with the scandals, felt too disgusted with the people that worked with him that when he left the company for retirement, he left his money behind and told them to invest it in what they had stole from the people who had lost their money.

That doesn't account for the rest of the jerks out there still going to take money. But you are right, they need to start doing the right thing if they plan on their bank still standing after the economy finally picks itself up... maybe. Who is really going to believe that their money is safe after all this crap is over?

Glad to hear there's one good guy on Wall Street.
Want to bet "they" didn't do as he wished?

I'd like to say what I feel on this topic, but...you've pretty much already covered all my sentiments. All I'd be able to do now is rant on about how screwed we are and how the Rich will never do anything about it. They're rich! What do they care?

What pisses me off most is hearing the sob stories from "rich" people.

My Aunt and Uncle are prime examples of this. (Though I love them dearly).
For years they've ignored my own parents struggle just to stay afloat. But now, now that their pocketbooks are being affected all they can do is whine about how much they're having to cut back. "We haven't been able to go on as many golf trips", "We can't buy as many new $500 so and so's", "We've had to dip into our retirement plans", and to top it off "We're going to set a limit on Christmas this year...that goes for you too." Are they shitting me! At least they have a retirement plan, and where do they get the gull to tell MY FAMILY how to spend money conservatively when that's what we've had to do our whole lives!?

Meanwhile, their business is going to s**t and when my grandma tries to help them get money they're owed, they fire her! Even though I love them, I sincerely hope that they lose everything. Only then will they TRULY understand what it means to struggle. People like them don't deserve their fortunes.

((XD I ranted anyways))
