
He had long forgotten the dirt kicked in his face. After all, it had been in the most friendly of manners that the female running with him had done it, and he had taken no offense. In fact, he had laughed, a loud, hearty laugh that echoed in the chill night air. This was the best thing he had ever done.
They had gone a long time, running, walking, running again. He had seen things he never could have seen back on his family pack's lands - and was willing to bet that Kaya hadn't seen them either, where she was from.
"This is great!" he spoke, finally, still running. His happiness was visible on his face, and he was hoping that Kaya was just as excited about the new prospects that awaited them out here in the wild world.
