This RP will take place after the destruction of the One Ring. You can make your own character as whichever race you like, and whichever age, so long as you don't go overboard with giving yourself powers, please. And no Eldar or Maia or Ainur or Valar or anything like that; they're not in Middle-Earth. You can, however, be a Sindarin elf, and they're still immortal, just descended from a different family that made different choices ages ago (for those of you who don't know).

You cannot be any of the characters from the LOTR books, because they are all dead, sorry. Eldarion, Aragorn's son, is King of Gondor. Lothlorien is dark and sad, abandoned by all but a few, and there is no music there anymore. Rivendell is still a haven to those who need one, but Elrond sailed into the West, so the beauty of that land is fading. There are some elves under Lord Thranduil (Legolas' father) in the north of Eryn Lasgalen, previously Mirkwood, and Lord Celeborn rules over the south of Eryn Lasgalen, where more elves live. Sauron is defeated forever, so he cannot suddenly be alive again. The men of the East still wander in Mordor, and the children of Ungoliant still haunt the Mountains of Shadow. Men have come to live in Ithilien, but still not will enter Minas Morgul. The Shire still belongs to the Halflings. There are some dwarves in the northern mountains, and they do some trade with the men of Lake Town (between Thranduil's and Celeborn's realms).

We'll need some ideas for villians, who can either be RP'd by us, or can be used by anyone to say anything they want. We can start once we have some characters, before we get some villians, but we'll need them soon if we don't want this to get boring. (I know this from experience; it happened for a while in another LOTR RP I'm in.)

All right, we have some ideas for the villian now. They are:

He was once a leutenant of Sauron. He's the leader of the hordes of orcs that are wandering in Mordor, and he's recruited Shelob as well, and all her children that lived in her lair. He's recruited the men from Belfalas and Dol Amroth, so they've closed down the harbors in the south, and control South Gondor.
Currently, they're planning a raid on the havens in the west, because they're searching for the secret to pass into the West and reach Valinor. The leutenant is a previous Maia (under the Valar in power, kind of like mini-gods, if you don't know), and he thinks he can sieze power over the West by recruiting some of the Valar and Maia. He hungers for the Secret Fire, which is the source of all life and existence, guarded in the realms outside Middle-Earth, where Illuvatar the Creator was in the beginning, from which he created Middle-Earth with the Ainur (his thought; Valar are Ainur). This is what originally corrupted Morgoth, so he is quite like to him. If he gains the knowledge of how to pass to the West, all shall fall under his rule.
Unbeknowest to others, the dwarves found in Moria a dark power. It was one of the original Balrogs of Morgoth, and is known by no name now. The Balrog that Gandalf, or Olorin as was his Maia name, was far less powerful than this demon of ancient times. If this demon meets up with the Maia described above, then there will be no stopping either of them.

***Obviosly, both of these characters NEED NAMES. PM name ideas to me or Bulletbeard, or post them in the thread, if you wish. We can edit this post and add the names in at a later date.

Rules

Some of these should be oviouse, but I'm putting them here any way:

1.No Godmodding. Nobody likes it and it isn't fair, so don't do it.
2.Follow Gaia ToS and all guild rules
3.No cybering. Kissing and hugging are ok, but don't take it overboard.
4.Don't kill any one unless you have their permission, as well as Gylfie's or mine
5.If you have a problem with one of the rpers, sort it out in PMs.
6.Use (), [] or {} for OOC.

More could be added at anytime so check regulary

how about Dae Edhel or Dur Edhel?
PostPosted: Sat Nov 28, 2009 8:02 pm

Hmm... I like Daedhel better. That would be Shadow-Elf. The leutenant of Sauron, I presume. So he's taken the form of an elf. Cool! And I think we can just call the ancient Balrog the Demon. So... I think we can start! ...Maybe? Did I miss anything? Oh, and should we wait for more RPers, or just start with three? (FYI I know a RP with three can work; a LOTR RP I was in lasted a long time with just three of us.) More can always join later, if they want to.

Silmarilli??? If you mean there are Silmarils left in Middle-Earth, I thought they were all lost. One, to the heavens on Earendil's ship. The second and third were recovered from Morgoth's crown, and given to Eonwe, and then taken by the two last sons of Feanor, Maedhros and Maglor. The gems burned their hands, and in their agony, Maedhros cast himself into a chasm of fire, and one Silmaril was lost to the bosom of the Earth; and Maglor cast the Silmaril he held into Sea. So there are none left.
Now if you mean Palantiri, then yes, some of the Seeing-Stones were surely recovered. I'm not sure what happened to the one that was on Weathertop, but the Stone of Isenguard was left in Helm's Deep, and the Stone of Minas Isil, which became Minas Morgul, was most likely left there. These are the only two I can remember anything of at the moment.

So, what exactly did you mean? xp

i knew about the one Erandil took to the heavans, the one he used to guide his ship, but i dodnt know the other two were gone from middle earth as well, i was thinking the could have been discovered in the ruin of Saurons tower, but one of the Palintir could be at Rivendale, and why not the one from Weather top? It's true that no one knows what happened to it, so we can say that Sauron took it and that's the one he used when communicating with Saruman and it was discovered by Aragorns son, and given to the Elves so they could communicate with each other in times of great need
