Book 13 is out!
The Gathering Storm, written by Brandon Sanderson based on Robert Jordan's notes, is out in hardback:
http://www.amazon.com/Gathering-Storm-Wheel-Time/dp/0765302306/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1256763011&sr=8-1
I want to know how it is! He wrote one really long book actually, and it was divided into three.

Yes, it's a book one of three, but I think they're keeping the numbering with Jordan's so this would be book 13. 15 book series!

It's been pointed out to me that Brandon Sanderson, Jordan's ghostwriter, has a LJ: http://mistborn.livejournal.comAnd did you guys see that Rand Al'Thor just won the fantasy cage match?

What cagematch? A friend of mine just loaned me Sanderson's Mistborn...actually.
Speaking of book 13, I'm not done yet...but for some reason I feel like Sanderson tried too hard to point out the humor that RJ just kinda left for the readers to understand on their own...
Was that just me?

Don't worry,no spoilers in these observations:
1) I feel like he's trying too hard to make it seem like RJ (which isn't his fault I suppose)
2) The humor, and the comedy...
3) The tense plots, etc.
4) In regard to 2&3, I feel that he isn't as subtle as RJ was about them. I mean, in RJ writing, the jokes were obvious of course, but never actually stated...here they are outright said. Which, while funny, is kinda...odd
5) For some reason I feel like our characters, in some cases, have become less developed rather than more developed.. ((Example: See Mat's chapter, "Legends" ))
6) Parts of the story have begun to seem...cinema-esque to me. And for some reason they strike me as unoriginal. Necessary perhaps, but still unoriginal.
Now, realize I'm not done with the book yet. And its not to say that its not a good book. Its just that, I guess as we all expected, its not RJ.

I read it a while back...it was good...but it wasn't RJ level to me...disappointed on that part but more or less kept with the storyline...on that note I was happy with it...sorry I have been gone for so long...I have been in the military now for 2 years and now I am in afghanistan but I am going to try to be more faithful now

Good to have you back Raz...and if it makes you feel better you're not the only one that is out of the country and out of touch with the rest of the internet.
