The group had made it to their destination, and they had found their enemy. They knew Amara was at that tower, and they knew the culprit behind the theft. They fought against her, and the monster guardians. There was no way they were going to allow themselves to lose. Not after all they had been through. Their group had even split, and who knows where all the missing people were.

They fought back strongly, giving it all they had. Then the true culprit appeared. Before the group could do anything, she had taken Blossom, and had begun casting a powerful spell. Suddenly, all their surroundings vanished. The next things the group saw were grass, buildings, clouds... a dock. The sound of gulls resounded in their ears, and the smell of fish, took refuge in their noses. They knew this place. They were back in Pentheus. They were in Learania once more.

The last thing Abel had done, was begin to charge at the new enemy. He wasn't going to let Aidan's wife be taken, too. Then, he was suddenly in this place again. He wasn't dreaming. He hadn't awoken from some terrible nightmare. Somehow, he, and all the others, had been transported right back out of the desert.

The boy looked around, and saw Alihi, laying on the ground. Her wound was getting worse, and needed more than just a vulnarary. She needed real treatment. He quickly stored his blade back upon his back and rushed over to the tactician, then knelt by her and took her hand. "Alihi... Are you ok? No, wait, you shouldn't talk. Don't worry, you'll be alright."

He propped her up and dug his arms underneath her, then lifted her. Abel had traveled to this city before. He had done jobs here. Suffice it to say aloud, the clinic was one of the first places he had the pleasure of visiting, during his stay. He knew exactly where to take her. He turned to take off that way, but stopped and turned to whoever was listening. "I'll take her to the clinic. If something happens, we'll be there." He then took off down the street, with Alihi in his arms.

She was not an expert on magic, and knew very little of what it could do, aside from being used to heal or attack. This was certainly a new experience. However, she knew where she was, and it was always smart to focus on the present.

"I know not what deh hell just happaned. And I don't know who dis new enemy is... but I do know dat we in no situation tah go back dere." She turned around, and took a seat on the fountain wall. Apparently, they were in the middle of the town square. There were people around, but the town was always so busy, that not many people noticed when a group of travelers suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Those that did notice had simply fled in fear.

The halberdier growled in frustration of their situation. To make matters worse, there were still a few of their group possibly lost out in the desert, or worse. She didn't like magic much, and this certainly did not help change her mind about it. "Anehbody know anyting dat I don't, 'ere? Any suggestions?" She turned her head and eyed the lizard man. From her recollection, she had heard he knew many things about the world. It would make sense that he might know the identity of somebody as powerful as that scarlet-haired wench. "...How 'bout you, scaly? Know someting?"

Close. They were that close.

They were at the tower and had defeated Vika, but then the mask had developed a body of sorts (Roy supposed it was the mask's true form, just like Tura had a true form when they dealt with the being a few weeks back), and after Blossom was allowed to take the injured Raven into some portal leading into the tower, the rest of them were transported back to some town thanks to some strange magic. From the looks of it, it was Pentheus. He knew these streets all too well.

Yeah, that pretty much summed it up.

The young lord sighed before the flames died down and he sheathed the SoS, his raging thoughts and emotions becoming controlled once more. Great. Not only did they fail to rescue Amara the first time, but now both Vika and Blossom were potentially kidnapped as well! He wasn't even sure anymore if that figure he saw in the desert was truly his father or merely a mirage. From the way he saw things, they had three options. One, they could try to go back to where ever the tower was. Two, they could go locate their comrades that were still out in the desert (those bandits were bound to strike again after that sandstorm. He prayed that his mother and the others were all right). Or three, they could head back to Eyris and call it a failed mission.

Abel was taking Alihi to a medical clinic to treat her wounds, and the dark-skinned woman was asking Ganon the bard about what just happened, but had also allowed input from the others due to her earlier statement. The young lord could lend some insight about the mask, but that was about it. He also sat down on the fountain and pulled an enraged Darko out of his bag. After consoling the little imp, Darko landed on Roy's injured leg (he winced. The arrowhead was still in there and his shoulder, and both wounds still stung), his tail circling around the hole in his pants where the arrow struck. The young lord could trust in the imp to get the arrowheads out, and all he had to do was reapply some elixer on the wounds. Blossom still needed her shoulder treated, and Ephraim needed to replace his destroyed lance. He felt bad for the prince, for he knew exactly what it was like to have a precious weapon destroyed like that in combat.

"From my experience, that mask is ancient. It has its own consciousness and, when worn, can possess whomever wears it. That mask was probably drawing energy from the Raven so it could summon its real body. It's definitely not human made. I doubt even the greatest magic can put together something like that. That's definitely not the only one of its kind either. There was a serial murder a few weeks back in Eyris, and the mastermind behind the killings was controlled by a mask similar to the one we're facing now." Roy told Deborah and the others, wincing a few times as he spoke. "That's all I know. The identity of the woman, whatever powers she has, I know nothing of."

After a few moments, the imp chirped before it flew up to sit on Roy's head. Two shiny arrowheads dropped into his gloved hand, stained red with blood from earlier. They were tossed into his bag; he'd dispose of them properly later. After some elixer was applied to his smarting wounds, he got up to his feet and passed the bottle to Blossom.

"I don't know what you guys are planning to do now, but I'm going to head back to Sentria. We can't leave the others there on their own to fend for themselves against the bandits. And regardless of what that new masked woman says, we can't leave Blossom, Amara, and the Raven girl at the tower either." he told them. "If you're going to Sentria as well, stock up on plenty of water, maybe get another weapon or healing salve. We'll meet up at the gate in about...an hour sound good? Someone should go tell Alihi and Abel what's happening."

There. He had put his two cents into the pot. How the others would respond and such were up to them now. He wasn't the leader of this mission, nor was he willing to take command now that Alihi was getting medical treatment. Once the female tactician was all healed up, she would He parted ways with the group for now, so that he could go stock up for the journey back into the desert. He knew a few of them would tag along as well, but he wasn't sure if Alihi and Abel were going to come with them, not with Alihi the was she was right now.

Roy was tired. He was thirsty. Hungry. Physically, mentally, and emotionally strained. But he couldn't rest. He had to keep going. He'd go beyond his limits if it meant he could protect those important to him. The young lord staggered for a moment, using the street lamp as a support to hold him steady. After a few deep breaths, he began walking again, and soon disappeared behind the everyday hustle and bustle of the Pentheus crowds.

"Ya kiddin'." Whether or not he was serious, his explanation of the mask was the only thing she had to go on, and it made sense.. sort of. Magic in general didn't make sense to her, but it existed nonetheless. It was clearly involved in this case, in some way.

She shrugged a little, then scratched the back of her head, ignoring the sand that was still clinging to her thick hair. Then the lordling spoke again. Deborah rolled her eyes. "No, ya aint." She bluntly spat out. "I just said we in no condition tah go back dere." Roy was clearly unhappy by her remark.

Deborah thought a moment, and sighed. She was still on a mission, and she wasn't willing to let it fail so easily, and not get her reward. "We'll need more den an howah." She watched him stagger off. "See? Ya can't even walk straight. If ya wanna help dose people, ya need tah be at ya best. Eat. Sleep. If ya don't..." Roy had begun to walk off, so Deborah held up a hand to the side of her mouth and yelled out to him "...all ya'll do is make tings worse!" The lord vanished into the crowd.

She lowered her hand, turned away from where he walked off. "...Tch. Hasty child. He heard me. It not like he goin' tah go on is own. He wouldn't last a day, by himself." She folded her arms, and dawned an obstinate and irritable pose. She then noticed that the bard seemed to be staring at her. "Well?! I asked ya someting! If ya gunna stare, ya can answer my question!!"

Ganon hadn't said much since they had been returned. He'd mostly been sitting with his guitar in his lap, plucking at a few chords and mouthing something to himself, as though trying to recall something important.

He listened quietly to Roy's supposition and conjecture, shaking his head slowly and watching the red-haired young prince walk off. "In all honesty, he'll probably get lost in the city and wind up going in circles," he sighed at last. "In any case, I believe I have a more concrete idea of what we're up against." He turned his guitar upward and plucked out a chord. "... Sorry," he added. "Habit."

Nonetheless, he continued to quietly play as he spoke. "Stories from all around Learania tell of an ancient menace, a powerful sorceress known as Razevi. She was a tyrannical woman with immense power. She even challenged the gods when they were embroiled in war with one another. But she was defeated ages ago, all the stories say so. She challenged the greatest of the gods, and he imprisoned her within her own mask." He sat back a bit, closing his eye. "Vika must have found the mask and I guess wearing it let Razevi... exert her power. But I don't know why she was able to break out. The curses of gods are pretty strong, unless the god who beat her lost a ton of power, it's hard to see how she could break out. But from the looks of things... that's definitely Razevi out there. Which means we are in assheaps of trouble."

Shaking now, trembling,is a light all alone not a thing to heal the pain...it disappears

-Ephraim-

--------------------

Things were getting worse by the second. Not only were they out of the battle, they were transported back to town and half their other groups were gone. Ephraim's mind was completly blank, trying to comprehend everything that went on before they ended up back in town. He ignored his own hunger at the moment, listening to the words Roy was spilling out.

The mask huh? Guess that explains why that..woman who had appeared was so angry toward him. But they knew their target now and it was no longer Vika.

Ephraim slowly looked up from the ground when Deborah she asked about the situation "Unfortunentally..I know just as much as you do" in all honesty, what he was learning now is what she was learning. Nothing more, nothing less.

Ganon was the next to speak up, telling the tails of Razevi and the history behind her. But what caught his attention was the fact that he mentioned she was able to break out. "Perhaps..." he began, trailing off in his mind for a moment "Perhaps the seal was already weakening...and by fighting us..we released it" that was what the lancer thought. It may not be true, but that was his guess. "Its just a hunch, it has been over decades" he added, before they started to look at him oddly.

Well, the dark-skinned woman showed her disbelief. The others didn't seem to have too much faith on his words. Oh well. The bard probably had more solid information about whatever they were dealing with anyway. He could ask Ephraim about it later, if the prince was going to stay with the others.

As he walked away, he heard the dark-skinned woman shout at him to eat and rest, else he would only make things worse. He grit his teeth. He knew the older woman was right, but what about the ones still lost in the desert? Did they have time to eat, to rest? They were probably in a far worse condition than everyone here. Unlike the female lancer, he actually had something he couldn't afford to lose out in that barren wasteland of a nation. He was worried about his Mother. The cow...? Not so much. The others were more than capable of defending themselves, and he had faith in them.

Two hours. He would rest for that long. He would bathe, replace his tattered cloak, grab a bite to eat, restock on water...whatever else he could think of after that if there was still time. He paused for a moment, wondering where his weary legs had taken him. The young lord was right outside of his friend's bar. Surprise, surprise. After walking through this town so often, his legs had instinctively led him to exactly where he wanted to go, though he wasn't aware of it until he arrived. If he recalled...the bar had some rooms upstairs equipped with bed and bath. This would save him a lot of time and money. He wasn't too far from where the others were. Just a few streets away, actually.

With a tired smile, he pushed the door open and walked in.

Hang on just a little longer, Mother...We'll be there soon...

"Hmph!" Deborah spouted. "I could care less about deh 'gods' of dis world. Deh haven't done anything in a long time. Ya can't even prove deh exist anymore, or if deh even were gods, as ya say." She spoke that without thinking about those around her, but stood firm on everything she said. She believed in the power of spirits and the evils of darkness, but held little interest in the tales of gods. She was quite obstinate about certain things.

She looked down at the ground, still troubled. Even without the backstory, she couldn't deny that this person was who Ganon said she was. He would know. And with this new information, this now became a mission far too big for them to deal with. "Dis is more den just a kidnappin'. Deh crew need tah know about dis." She turned her head, and looked behind where Ganon was sitting. "Ya here dat, Mihira?! I know ya were listenin', and ya bettah get goin'. Tell deh crew what ya heard, and ask what should be done."

She returned to her original position, and looked back up at the sky. There was a nice breeze out today. She would enjoy this peace for as long as she could.

xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!"
"The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!"

Mihira hadn't been able to do much, except do what she could with the monsters, before they were transported. Now, she was inspecting her wyvern, and listening to everyone talk, from behind them. She jumped suddenly, being startled when Deborah called on her. She didn't mean to eavesdrop, but she couldn't help but wonder what had happened, and Ganon's story was interesting.

"Y-yes! I will!" She was always quick with her orders, and eager to do them, because it meant she could be useful. Her wyvern seemed to be in good enough condition to make it to Eyris, thanks to the brief rests it was able to have during their journey thus far. Mihira prepared to take off, then mounted and took off into the sky, soaring quickly toward the direction of Eyris.

It didn't take her long to get back to Eyris, either. It took a couple hours possibly to go between Pentheus and Eyris on foot, but on a wyvern, it wasn't even close to that long. She quickly saw the city, and before long, she was dashing toward the castle. She didn't notice anything odd about the streets, except that it was strangely empty. (This is after 5th is about over, I'm sure?) But she didn't have time to take in the sights, despite it feeling like she had come back after being gone for months.

She landed at the Guard's training area, and rushed inside the castle. She thought about going to Vaida, but that would just take up time. She knew that Nino was ill, and that Rath was in charge, so she would find his office, wherever that was. However, something very frightening stopped her in her tracks.

"HOLD IT, SOLDIER!" Vaida grabbed Mihira's shoulder, and pulled her back, as the scout had rushed passed her, almost knocking into her pride. "Mihira?! What are you doing here! I didn't expect you back so soon. It's been about a day at most! I take it you succeeded?"

Mihira, started to tremble. She didn't really know what to say, but her commander had asked her a question, so she had to think up the words. "W-well... you see... We got to the tower, a-and we fought the raven, but..." Mihira gulped, and looked around nervously. "Well, something new has arisen...! I need to speak with a crew member, immediately! Please, time is essential!"

"You're not making any sense! Pheh!" She let go of Mihira, shoving her slightly. "If it's really that big, that I can't deal with it, then fine. We've had our own problems here in Eyris, so I don't really know where all the crew is." Vaida turned, and began to walk down the hall. "Well, come on! Let's go find one!"

"Y-yes, ma'am!" Mihira quickly darted off where Vaida was headed, being scolded once for following so closely, and being shoved back. First, they went to several of the crew's offices, but they couldn't be found. Upon questioning the guards, they were told that a few of the crew were in the conference room, discussing the current situation of the city.

The two of them then hurried to the conference room, and Vaida flung open the door for Mihira, shoved her inside, and stood behind to listen to her subordinate. Mihira looked around at those who were in the room. They were staring right at her. She must have interrupted an important conversation! "U-um..." She stuttered "I-I have urgent news! It's about the mission to Sentria..." And then she spilled everything she knew. The bandits, the sandstorm, the missing people, and finally about Vika and the mask of Razevi. The timid scout could only hope they would know what to do, and act quickly.

Alihi Kaua

Distinct Genius

PostPosted: Wed Oct 28, 2009 2:49 pm

♦ ◄ALIHI► ♦

The sight of Portheus made Alihi want to cry. She wanted to get up on her feet, scream, do something, but somehow her stomach wound got worse. It was now bleeding again. She groaned, pressing her hand to her stomach. Great. Things couldn't get much worse at this point. First, she lost Amara. Then, their group got split and, in the process, she lost Akihi. And now she was bleeding again?! Just wonderful. She thought bitterly, holding back tears of frustration.

Her heart skipped a beat or two when she saw Abel. Nervously, she looked away from him. "I-I'm fine..." She said softly, though it was obviously a lie. If she was fine, she wouldn't be injured. She would be able to move on her own without being carried if she was fine.

She didn't protest, though. It was... nice. She relaxed slightly, hands resting on top of the wound. It was a strange thought, saying that being carried around while you are injured is "nice", but it was how she felt.

The tactician waited until they were some distance down the street before speaking again. "... The others... do you think they're alright?" Of course, a huge chunk of her concern was on the group they got separated from back in Sentria. She knew they weren't there; if Akihi was there, he would have freaked out about seeing her injured. "Th-they have to be...!" She said desperately, her voice wavering in strength. Her eyes closed slightly.

Alihi didn't know what she would do if they didn't return...

The news Vaida's subordinate had delivered was shocking. At first, the crew didn't know how to respond. They were discussing the fatalities and situation of the city, after quelling the threats that had plagued it. Then, in stormed Vaida again, along with the scout that was supposed to be on the mission to Sentria. It was very sudden, and shocking, to say the least.

However, with this news, their suspicions that something bigger was at work had been confirmed. Something had to be done. They had missing guild members, and technically three kidnapped members. There was no longer a need to infiltrate on a rogue mission. This time, they would deploy their Guard.

Rath sat at the head of the table, and after brief discussion with the other crew in the room, they came to their conclusion. He looked at Vaida, and gave her an order. "Prepare your troops who are not on active duty to mobilize. Due to the Guard's current lack of numbers, call upon all guild members who wish to become temporary recruits." He waited for the wyvern lord to leave the room, then asked a guard to search for anything he could find on Razevi.

About thirty minutes later, the guards returned, with no books, but one lonely scroll. Within it carried the entire tale of Razevi. Her's was a power that even Loki would find to be a major threat. Although her intentions now were unclear, she had chosen to use Learania to further herself, and this led to the possibility that she was targeting them specifically. Even if that wasn't necessarily true, her rise would not do well for them. They had to act now, and be swift, to prevent another dark lord from arising.

The vice captain looked up from the scroll, and eyed the crew in the room carefully. "...I want one of you to go, and make sure things go well. We cannot falter, in this. If we do..." He paused a moment. "Then darkness will rule, and it will be the end of the world as we know it."

xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!"
"The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!"

Vaida received her orders and said nothing, as she stepped out of the room, pulling Mihira by her loose pony tail, behind her. She continued to head back to the Guard's area of the castle, and startled to chuckle to herself. This is what she wanted to do from the start. Vaida would not go for not being allowed to depart for Sentria, this time. She would lead her troops, personally.

When the two of them arrived at their destination, Vaida turned to Mihira, with a command, for her. "I want you to fly back and tell the rest of the group that Learania is sending a small army, in response to this dire news. I'll have the soldiers ready to leave within an hour." She turned, and began to head outside, to find all non busy guards. "And tell voo-doo girl to stay put!"

After receiving her order, Mihira quickly rushed out to where her wyvern was. Her fellow guards had taken the liberty of preparing it to fly once more her, as well as give it some food and water. The wyvern was at its best, once more. Mihira wished she could have gotten some other items, but there wasn't time to waste. She was just happy that her friends had refilled a canteen for her, and restocked her essential supplies.

Just when she was about to take off, however, one of the guards came running up to her, shouting for her to wait. Mihira looked down at him, and noticed that he was holding up a lance of some sort. After a moment of looking at it, she realized that she had seen Deborah wielding it a couple of times before. "...Hm? Oh, but this isn't-" The guard explained that Vaida had told him to fetch it, and give it to her, to give to Deborah. Mihira looked up, and saw her commander in the distance, watching her. She smiled lightly, and latched the lance to the side of her mount. "Thank you, I'll make sure she receives Graver." Now, with everything she needed, she took off into the sky, and hurried back to Pentheus.

Vaida watched as her scout turned into a black spec in the sky. When she was out of sight, the Guard Commander turned to her stationary men, and clapped her hands, once. "Alright, listen up! I want you all to prepare to mobilize! Get everything you need for desert terrain, then get in position to move out! Go, go go!" The tiny guards began to rush about in a fluster of chaos, and began to prepare themselves.

She then turned to a few guards who were on active duty, and gave them a firm order to go out to every place where groups of people were, and announce that all people who wish to become temporary recruits to help save a number of guild members, should prepare to mobilize and quickly come to the castle, to move out. The guards were gone seconds after receiving their order. Vaida turned around, and began walking back toward her office. "Now then... where's my spear...."

Several guards were soon rushing about the streets. One went into the hostess club, one to the town square, and a few more to other places where many people might be. Wherever the location, their words were the same. "Attention, Attention! Your guildmates in Sentria are in peril! All those who wish to help, prepare yourselves, and quickly come to the Guard section of the castle! Attention! ...Attention....!"

(( Inserting a small timeskip here for between the Rei/Twins fight and now, 'cause he'd be in two places, and that's odd. XP ))

Rei stumbled slightly as he followed the call for aid. He was just in a fiasco with a pair of insane murderous twins, so he wasn't at top form. He closed his eyes as he walked, still regretting how the situation had turned out. A slightly battered Berserk staff clattered on one side of his waist, a Mend staff on the other. He went opposite the echoes that shook through the town, heading straight for the castle.

Sentria was a desert, of course. So, a Druid like Rei would be more than comfortable there, as magic users were unaffected by the sand, oddly enough. He had his staves, for healing and for interference, and tomes: Fenrir, Erebus and Apocalypse. He didn't want to bring Apocalypse with him, but Sentria was mostly desert, so there'd be much less danger of mass destruction. Erebus would likely be simple interference. Footing would be difficult in desert sand, and a little shove could help things out. Fenrir, though, would be his main offense. It was powerful and could cover a large area, so it would be a boon to everyone if there was a clump of enemies.

Speaking of 'everyone', there was hardly anyone around, save a few frantic soldiers. Maybe people hadn't come yet? Well, the group wasn't gone yet, so he didn't miss them. He shrugged it off as a byproduct of the chaos in town, and sat down on the stairs leading to the castle's door. He pulled out a new book, Mental Disorders and You, and began to read. Those twins seemed perfectly normal, until they became homicidal, and Rei was interested in just what could make people do things like that.

((Small timeskip for Roy as well))

He was tired of waiting.

It had been a little more than two hours since he left the group, and was now sitting in front of the gate that led towards Sentria. They didn't need all this preparation time. There were people's lives at stake! Sure, the group he was in was tired and wounded, but what about the others that they were separated from? Surely they were in a similar state, if not worse.

All Roy wanted was to protect his mother. That was it. And to protect his mother, he would have to go protect the others that were with her. The issue with his father could wait until that was done. The last thing he wanted was to lose his mother again, and then discover the man he had seen in the desert that he thought was his father was actually a hallucination or a mirage (but the hand that had touched his shoulder was solid! He was 100% certain of this! And yet the others didn't even see his father there! So what gives? Was he real, or not?).

The young lord slowly got up to his feet. Water was replenished, snacks were packed, elixers were restocked, and he was well-rested. The tattered cloak was replaced with a sandy-colored traveller's cloak, perfect for blending in the desert. He had also gone to pick up the Rune Sword he had his friend hold on to (which explained why he was missing all three of the magic swords he used to carry), then pulled back the glove on his left hand. In the center of the palm of that hand, there was a large scar. By the looks of it, a sword had pierced the hand (there was a similar mark on the back of his hand to support this theory. It would also explain why he was no longer duel-wielding like he used to). Yes, he could hold a sword in his left hand (and throw it too, he had discovered earlier), but it was unlikely he could use two weapons in a fight at the same time. One at a time was his hand's limit, for now.

No more waiting. He was going, even if he was going on his own. With Darko's help, he could find his way to where his Mother and the others were, but it would be a little more difficult for the imp to find the tower. That was fine. It would be suicide to storm that place on his own, or with the group currently out in the desert, anyway. They could rendezvous with Alihi's group later. He took one last look at Pentheus, perhaps his last one for a long while.

"I'll go on for now, see if I can buy them some time." he muttered quietly.

With a swish of his cloak, Roy had turned away from Pentheus and was now moving towards Sentria.

xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!"
"The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!"

Soon enough, Mihira was flying back over Pentheus, and found room to land within the town square, close to where the rest of her group was. It didn't seem that most of them had migrated much. Deborah and Ganon were still by the fountain, and Ephraim was pacing around, looking at the shops and surroundings. As she got closer, she could hear the strums from Ganon's instrument.

Mihira dismounted and walked her wyvern over to the fountain, where it couldn't help but take a drink. She looked at the two before her, and smiled. "Commander Vaida has been ordered to mobilize the Guard, and all volunteers, who wish to participate in this rescue. They should be moving out very shortly, now."

She looked back over to her wyvern, and jumped a little, when she remembered something. "Oh! I forgot, I was told to give you this, Deborah..." She reached over, and unlatched Graver from the side of her wyvern, and handed it to the woman. "S-sorry, if I took too long... but now Roy can rest easy." She looked around, but did not see him. "I-is he not back yet...?"

The lizard bard's music had kept her calm enough, while she waited. When Deborah heard the news, she was a little surprised, but it did mean that her mission was still continuing. She wouldn't be swindled out of her reward. Plus, now she wouldn't have to worry about her group rushing back off into the desert. She just needed to wait right where she was, until the army arrived.

She looked back over at Mihira again, when the scout said that she had something for her. When Mihira presented Graver before her, Deborah just stared at it, for a moment, before finally taking it in her hands. This was Ledreak's spear, one she had taken, after defeating him. He was an opponent who didn't deserve to die, and yet rightfully needed to be dead. She chose to fight him, because he was of her kind, and yet fought on the side of evil. She didn't expect that he was being forced. He truly was a good man, and his mastery of Graver was impressive. Deborah had trained with it many times in private, but she still could not come remotely close to the way he used it. Still, the spear from her homeland was damaged and beaten, from the desert, and needed repair. She would have to use Graver.

"No... ya did fine, girl." She said, in response, noticing that Mihira was still speaking to her. "And no, he isn't back yet. But I bettah go find 'im, before he gets any crazy ideas." She sighed, then stood up, and stretched a little. "Tanks for deh lance, by deh way... I appreciate it." She walked off in the direction she remembered the red-head departed in.

She didn't know where he had headed, but logically, he would go places where he could get supplies, weapons, food and water... so Deborah went to such places, asking if they had seen him. There weren't many red-haired young men, with armor and swords around a port city, so his description came up positive in quite a few places. At each place, she got directions to another, and eventually ended up at a tavern, where it seemed the lord had stopped for a drink, after he finished getting the things he needed. Upon questioning the bartender, she learned that the bartender overheard the boy muttering something to himself about being tired of waiting, ad that he'd go save his mother, himself. After growling, and smacking some pervert from his chair, Deborah stormed out of the tavern, and headed back to the town square. "Dat damn boy...!"

When she got back, she quickly spat out some shouts to the group. "Dat fool! Deh idiot! He tinks he can just go into deh desert by 'imself?! It's suicide!" She kicked a gull, that was feeding on spilled bread crumbs, flinging it into Aidan's face, who hadn't said anything since being back yet, because his player is lazy. "Deh nerve a him! Well, I'm not going tah let my mission fail, because he tinks he's invincible! I know deh closest bandit hideout, arund where deh sandstorm hit us. If he goes deh same way we went before, he's bound tah come across it, too, given he don't die first! Dere's a good chance deh others are dere, too, given its location."

Deborah turned and faced the group. "I got no choice! We gottah go get deh fool, before he winds up dead. If he dies, it's on my shouldahs." she turned to her fellow Guard member. "Mihira, stay behind, and meet wit deh army, when deh arrive. Ya should let deh tactician know what's goin' on, too." She turned back to the others. "Well, come on! I aint goin' out by myself, so guess who I'm draggin' along? Let's get going!" Deborah took off toward the city gates, followed shortly after by Ganon, Ephraim, and Aidan, if his player actually posts. They reached the border in no time, and were soon making good tracks into Sentria. There missing companions were no longer alone, in the sands.
