Alazne wiggled happily as she watched her parents both carry out a bunch of ancient clothes from all over her older brothers -all eight of them- as well as a lot of her really girlie clothing, all of it being set up outside as a ginormous yard sale. She flicked her slim, heart-tipped tail behind her happily, decked out now in what they could find of slacks, a polo shirt, and a pair of suspenders, though her greyish-purple feet were uncovered. She rocked back and forth as she watched her parents set up the yard sale, watching from the sidelines and wondering if she was going to meet anyone new.
Trois frowned softly as he carried out a box full of the dresses that his only daughter -of this family- was wearing only a few days ago. Just his luck; of course the only other would-be feminine girl was... well, a complete and total tomboy. He didn't have much luck when it came to find any good female friends to spend time with. After all, Sarah was... well, gone, and he hadn't really bonded with anyone since then.
Alazne ran over to where her box of dresses had been placed on the ground and started looking through them. Picking out two diverse-looking ones, she handed those to her mother, and then picked out two more, which she then lifted up high and waved around for the world to see. "DRESSIES!! PRETTY, PRETTY DRESSIES FOR SALE FOR CHEEEAAAP!!" she yelled happily, turning a few heads and attracting the attention of at least one or two young children. Trois chuckled and smiled fondly at his daughter, holding up the two dresses in his hands and showing them off to the crowd as well. At least he'd gotten a sweet one, right?

Bailey puttered above the ground with a determined little huff as it tried to keep up with the hobbly walk of Grandma Lo. The elderly woman was by no means speedy, with her walker and bad hips, but the tot hadn't quite grown into it's wings yet. All three pairs were pushing it to the limit just to make it down the street.
Lo looked back and smiled sadly. It really was a shame that she had to separate the siblings, but the strange thing was that Bailey seemed to be flourishing. She suspected that it was hard to live with Lissy's hyperactivity, given how calm Bailey was. "Don't push yourself to hard, baby." She cupped it's cheek before giving it a light kiss. "Nanna can carry you if your tired."
"Mm'tay, Nay-nay." Bailey wheezed, pushing some hair away from it's face. It was so much harder to fly in the people world than in the dream world!
It started to putter out like a cheap car toy, so Lo took the oppurtunity to stop and allow it to take a rest ontop of her walker bar.
"Dressies?" The elderly woman turned around at the exclamation and giggled. "Oh my goodness, he's such an energetic little boy. I do love yard sales though, what a- we'll go check it out." She almost started laughing again at the expression on Bailey's face. It was obvious that the dresses were appealing to it.
Bolstering up it's last reserves, the infant fae flew over to the other tot and landed on it's feet, albeit a bit wobbly. "H-how much chu want for that one?" It pointed sheepishly to the one in Alazne's left hand before looking up at Nan.
Lo nodded. "Pick out the ones you want, sweetie." She then turned to Trois, her eyes widening a fraction before settling into a sweet look. "Your son's got a good set of lungs on him."

As soon as Alazne's eyes alighted on the small fae, a smile broke out across her purple-greyish face. "Y'can fly?!" she questioned excitedly, heart-tipped tail flicking back and forth behind her excitedly as she lowered the dresses from their position hanging high above the little girl's head. That is, until she was asked what the prices were for the dresses were, at which point she stood taller with them both held high, a conniving smirk unfurling on her lips.
"How much'a willin' ta pay, sweets 'tuff?" she asked with a pleased smile on her face, only for Trois to gently tap her on the shoulder with the split tip of his tail.
"Now Alazne, do not be so abrasive to the customers," he chastised with a soft smile, only for Alazne to pout up at him moodily, returning to her haggling. "So, how much'a wan'na pay?"
Trois blinked at the older woman curiously for a moment, staring a bit blankly before looking down at her crossdressing daughter and chuckling in relief. "Oh! Jou mean Alazne?" he asked, laughing softly. "Knew she shouldn't 'ave sold all'a those dresses," he said with a shake of his head.
"She's a girl, actualley, though you woulden't know et looking at 'er. Quite the little crossdresser," he noted with a sheepish laugh, shaking his head. "It's quite endearing, as a matter of fact."

Bailey smiled bashfully, a little blush on it's cheeks as it looked down. It tucked it's hair behind it's cupped elvin ears while looking at the other from the corner of it's eye. "Y-you've got..." So low was it's voice that it had a hard time hearing, so it brought it up. "You've got pretty horns. They match your eyes good."
Lo was listening in to their conversation and laughed. Bailey's cheeks just darkened. It thought for a while and reached out cautiously to finger the frillies on one of the dresses, to shy to ask for it. "I give'a joo fwree for dis one and five'a for dat one, cuz I like the color more."
Whoever said Lo was the only cheap one in the family? She looked at the snake man confusedly before copying him by looking at the little girl when it dawned on her. "Oh my goodness, I am so very sorry! She just looked so much like a little boy I thought that the little dear was one."
Looking down at Bailey, who was inspecting the wares with a keen eye, she nodded wearily. "Oh yes, it truly is. Much like Bailey. No matter what it puts on, it'll always be a cross dresser because the little dear has no true gender."

Alazne flicked her tail at the mention of those horns of her's and, draping one dress over the pretty other one's head, she reached up to touch at them curiously. She'd never really thought of them as pretty or not pretty, just that they were kind of big and bulky, but she liked them. Kinda. She shrugged. "Thanks, i'guess," she replied with a rather awkward smile before things got back to business.
She nodded with a big, closed-mouth smile on her face, a confident smile in a 'business'-like way. She'd learned it from the movies she'd been watching lately. "Both good prices," she said, putting both dresses over one arm and holding a hand out for the payment. Alazne smiled in what could only be described as an attempt at charming for a toddler. "Monies, please. And gim'me yer name while yer addit, if ya woud'n mind."
Trois laughed off the comment easily and smiled sweetly. "Please, zhere's no reason to apologise. I am su-er zhat is what she is tryingk for," he said, nodding and sighing a bit. He did love his daughter dearly, but he still couldn't help but wish that he'd gotten a chance at having another girlie girl since Corentine all those many years ago. No matter. At the comment of the nongender of the little one, a hand came to Trois' mouth in slight surprise. "Oh zhat poor sing! It must be so confusingk, don't you sink?"

Bailey blinked and reached up to hold onto the dress laid over it's head, peeping out around the frills to watch the lil' demon. Slowly it pulled it down to hold it against it's chest before handing it over to Alazne.
Little prisms of light passed through the tri wings on Bailey's back. It warmed the infant from toe to scalp in a way that nothing else did. Turning up at Lo, it hesitantly held out it's hand for the money and as soon as the funds dropped into Bailey's palm it held it out for the dresses, posession already in it's eyes. "B-Bailey. Whats yours?"
Lo nodded gravely. "Seems like both the lil' darlin's are gonna have it rough." She closed the clasp on her purse with a pert 'snap.'. Ever since her daughter had passed on she'd begun to latch onto the infant like a life line and hadn't realized until now exactly how much trouble gender could cause for it. "I wouldn't worry so much now. Their young; let me just be kids, I say."

Alazne was quick to take the money, handing the dresses over without letting them touch the ground -at least as best as she could- and she pretended to count the funds before folding them up neatly and pushing them into her pocket. She jutted out her hand, palm up, to take Bailey's. When it was handed over, she bowed all gentlemanly and kissed the back of the fae's hand audibly. "M'names Alazne, but you c'n call me Lazzy. Nice t'meet cha, Bailey~"
But as soon as introductions were done, it was back to business for the little tyke. Without letting go of it's hand, she pulled the pink-haired one over to the box of dresses while Trois gently placed the three he'd been holding back in it. "Tada!! Gots lotsa dressies f'r sale, if yer wantin' to buy s'more," she stated matter-of-factly, digging through the box to try to find ones with colours that Bailey would like, judging by its last favourite.
Trois nodded solemnly in response to the comment about the hardships the two cute babies would face later in life. But it was true, it wasn't the sort of thing to worry about now. At the thought, a smile returned to the snake's face. "Quite right jou are," he said sweetly, nodding once more before going to business matters as well. "So, do jou sink zhere is anysingk zhat may interest jou 'ere?" he questioned, gesturing to the table that Cat was setting up with all sorts of things their sons had left behind without wanting them, various nicknacks and a lot of books -mostly math ones- from their fourth-eldest.

Bailey hugged the dresses close, snuggling it's face into the cloth and blushed around it at Alazne's actions. The tri wings fluttered in excitement. It was just like the movies! Maybe Alazne was a prince, then...?
T'were it not for Lo grabbing them at the last second the dresses would have fell to the ground as Bailey squeeked, toddling as quickly as it could after the other tot. The fae gasped. "Wow! Why you don't want dem? Des are so pwetty..." Bailey's voice trailed off as it started digging through, looking at one and then the other, trying to decide which ones would look best on it before holding up one in a purplish color. "'Specially dis one. Matches you sooo good."
"Well, I can certainly have a look." Lo winked, chuckling as she moved over to check out the wares. She picked up a couple things, sitting them back down with a keen eye. One had to be careful when they went to yard sales. If you pushed it just right, you could get a real steal!

Alazne stood proudly over her mass amount of different things to sell, her thumbs settling for being hooked in her suspenders as she posed herself to look almost just like the people in those movies that she loved sososo much. At least, almost just like, 'cept she didn't had a fadora and her Mommy wouldn't let her have cigarettes. She'd had a long drag once upon a time, but her mom had taken that away, too. Sometimes parents were just no fun at all!!
When asked why she was getting rid of all of the dresses, Alazne made a slight face. "Well why w'd I wan'na wear dressies all like that? Y'can't be in the maf'ya if yer wearing dressies!!" she replied stubbornly with a slight pout toward the dresses. A gentle from creased Trois' brow when he heard his daughter's comment, laying the very tips of his tail on her shoulder as he turned to her; she wasn't too terribly far away.
"Lazzy, honey, you're not part of the Italian mafia and you need to accept that fact." It wasn't as though Trois didn't approve of make-believe. It was just that his daughter seemed to honestly believe that she belonged to the Italian mafia and that wasn't quite a good thing. In retaliation, Alazne pulled out a snapgun and 'fired' it at her mother, raising it to blow on the barrel before stuffing it back into the hem of her pants, immaturely sticking her tongue out at her mother. She was so part of the mafia!! Her mom didn't know anything.
Alazne backed up a bit when the dress was held toward her and held her hands up in defeat, feigning the weakness-to-women that happened so often in her beloved black-and-white films. "Nah, toots. I ain't the kind t'be wearing things like that, I promise ya. Sure that these things'd look much nicer on a form such's yers," she replied with what she didn't even know was a coy smirk that she'd practiced in the mirror. Trois groaned softly, facepalming at his daughter's actions, though a smile remained on his face. What would he do with this girl...?

Bailey stood hunched over the dresses, peering out through it's bangs at the other tot. Slowly it's head lolled to the side in confusion. "Maf'ya? Wassat?" The fae watched the interaction between father and daughter somewhat curiously, eager to find out what the mafia was. It had something to do with Italians, so was it some kind of club?
When Alazne fired the snapgun, Bailey jumped right into the box of dresses and covered its head. Lo watched on with a light giggle, wondering what had happened to her camera at such moments. Bailey timidly poked it's head back out of the box, covered in material as it's little hands clutched the side of the box.

Alazne was going to answer the question that was posed, she really was. But she was distracted by that when the other child jumped suddenly into a box of dresses, gasping and dropping to the ground in surprise, whimpering like the young thing that she was and rubbing her bottom with a gentle pout on her face.
All bad feelings were forgotten, however, when she looked up to see Bailey poking its head over the edge of the box. She giggled at the adorable sight of it and pushed herself back to her feet, stepping closer to ruffle Bailey's hair gently, tail flicking around behind her. "Yer a cyutie," she declared with a nod, helping to remove all of the dresses from its head while Trois did his best to find a camera.

Was it safe now? The little fae's wings just poked out of the garments so-so as it cautiously looked to Alazne for confirmation. Little tears were popping up in it's eyes and ever so slightly, it rubbed them away at the same time it's hair was ruffled. Bailey blinked and looked up. Slowly, it smiled brightly.
Lo sighed and placed a hand on her chest. "Why if that isn't the sweetest thing in the world. You've got one precious daughter on your hands, Mister."
