Emm'ahlie flicked her hair out of her eyes once more as she wandered her way toward the only den that she had seen in a while. She really needed a place to stay for the night. She didn't remember the night before much, mostly because she had a feeling she passed out. However now there were two storms coming. One in the sky, she could hear the rumble in the sky and she hated it she needed a place to hide and place to avoid getting soaked in the rain. Then of course the second one, the fact that she could feel her legs getting numb. She needed to rest. Her body was starting to get weak she needed to rest.
She picked up her pace a bit as she made her way. Or at least she tired to, she didn't go that much faster but it felt a little faster and that was all that mattered, it was all that she needed or at least for now, she was going to have to wander out later to find some water and also scavenge up some food. It was hard for her to hunt most of the time, by the time she started to run she was already pretty tired. So she would have to lay down for a while.
She scooted in, looking around a bit as she did before flopping down at the entrance, it was just the perfect place to feel the cool before the storm wind blow through her coat. It felt so good.

Fleance sighed heavily, his bed of ashes strewn and blown about the den in which he inhabited. He'd been driven into its quarters as dark clouds drew close, and their sudden appearance weighed as heavily on the atmosphere as it did on his heart. He'd heard of the bad news before he'd seen it from a small avian tottering on the ground as the added weight of water had weighed the fowl down. It was grumpy and chirped harshly about the approaching storms, and how it had been quite the sudden deluge. Fleance had walked away to seek shelter before the bird even had time to remember that it might need to fear for it's life in the face of a lion.
The god rolled over, seeking a comfortable position, though as he ran the risk of his back exposed to the mouth of the cave, he was trying desperately for some sleep. However, though physically it was a more comfortable pose, it was impossible for him to consider rest. So again he turned his huge body over, and curled his thick and fluffy tail around his body, resting his chin on his paws, and the dark tip lying just on his muzzle. His dull red eyes became half-lidded as he grew bored, not sleepy, from watching the cloud cover pass quickly and become darker. His skin shuddered with each crack of thunder miles away and echoing over the empty plains to rattle and resonate deep in his chest.
Sure, it would be much safer for him in the God Haven, but to be there without his big brother and sister was to Fleance as safe as being in the largest mortal pride of demons or devils. Eventually, his mind drew a blank, and his eyelids grew heavy, and they began to flutter and close as sleep drew closer.
However, his reprieve in reach quickly fell away when a form landed at the entrance of the cave. He sat up silently, startled and scared as he watched it for further movement. None came, but he willed it to leave before the rains came. It had blocked his exit, whatever it was, and his only hope was to stay quiet and motionless so that it too might pass without taking notice of him.
That is, until he sneezed, ashes strewn about and his shaggy forelock lying haphazardly in his eyes. He groaned, and waited for the worst- to defend rather than to attack. Such was the manner of this submissive soul.

Emm'ahlie was pretty caught up in her half sleep. Her legs were barely starting to get their feeling back but it was a different kind of feeling. It was the kind of feeling that you would get if you were about to sleep for the night. The lioness was pretty happy to have found a place to lay her head and relax instead of wander around and end up passing out on rocks or something. She hated when she did that but it happened on occasion. She never remembered it of course. But it was how it happened. She hated those days where she never remembered anything, but she was going to take the moment that she had to sit back and relax. She was surprisingly unaware of the god sitting in the back of the den.
However when she heard a sneeze she almost jumped out of her fur. She froze before processing that it was another lion. She jumped to her feet then quickly loosing her balance and crashing into the side of the den. She slipped down to her feet before closing her eyes trying to think, gathering her mind and also trying to gather her vision. So it wans't that good of an idea to stand up on her feet after being tired for so long. After almost passing out, she should have known that it wasn't a good idea but it wasn't the first time that she had done that. She sat up as much as she could before smiling at the male slightly. "Hello sir." She sighed slightly the nodded toward him. "I didn't know this was your den." she laughed quietly before shaking her head. "If you want I can leave and find another place to sleep tonight."

Fleance stared at the female, mouth agape as she thrashed and stumbled about. Was she mad with disease? His ears lay back on his skull, and he tensed, forgetting his divine ability to teleport for a second he thought himself stuck. But she gathered herself and was more normal, but he didn't lose that wary look in his eye.
"Oh, uhm, no... It's fine, you can have this one." He stood, ducking his head which was too tall for the back end of the cave. "But, are you alright?" He tilted his poofy mane in the other direction, scraping it on the roof of the cave and wincing in the process. He shifted on his feet as his dark red eyes looked past her and the rains began. They were light at first, turning to a normal to heavy rain, then a total deluge that dampened everything as far as the eye could see. Fleance wrinkled his nose, displeased, and sat back, now confused as to what he was supposed to do. He was by no means going to force the female out, but he didn't really want to get out there either.

Emm'ahlie flicked her hair out of her eyes as she looked at the male before shaking her head a few times. "No, no, I can leave if you want." She backed up a little bit shaking her head. "I don't want to chase you out if you picked this place first." She said simply. She was exhausted but she wasn't that sure what to think about the other male that was already in the den. She looked down and wiggled her toes around in the sand, she could feel them move, they were a little tingly but she had a feeling she could make it to the next den if she needed to .
She laughed slightly then shook her head. "I'm sick, so you can say." She looked at him quickly. "Not worries though! It's not contagious." She chuckled slightly, shaking her head quickly, she wanted to make sure that the male understood she was in fact not going to get him sick. Many others were confused when she said she was sick, some of them didn't want anything to do with her because of a fear of getting sick. "I... Uh, I guess you can I get really dizzy or really tired. I've had it since I was little."
She stretched her paws out a little bit before smiling softly. "I really can go if you want." She chuckled before glancing at him again. "Unless you want to share. It is pouring out." she smiled shyly.

Fleance made a face, despite his adolescent looks, he had ages of manners and etiquette. "No, don't go." He could see how tired she was, and it only filled him with more guilt as she continued to offer to leave. And she was sick? Ohhh now he felt terrible. Even if she were spreading the plague it'd probably be impossible for him to contract it.
He felt sorry for her, really, but not in a way that made her any less of a lion. It was almost the same sort of pity he sometimes had for himself, but hers was probably more well earned than his self-loathing pity-party. Scooting back further into the cave and forcing his large body into the narrowest of spaces, he waved a paw for her to come further in. Although... Maybe she should take the back and he should have the mouth... Awkwardly, he tried to walk around her and usher her towards the back of the cave. It was probably safer there. At least the wind and rain wouldn't buffer the lioness.
"Yes, please. Let's share." As he said it, he sat near the mouth, still with his back to the opening as the wind pushed sheets of rain towards the god, and a few hit their mark.

Yin-Bug Emm held her breath for a moment, taking in the fact the god was willing to help her and willing to share with her. She couldn't help but to to be full of joy because of that, she didn't want to cry, she bit her lips she was hoping that the she can hold it back. As soon as she hit the back of the den and flopped down on her side panting quietly enjoying the warmth that was there. she was so happy at the moment. "Thank you so much." She purred as she curled up some and began to lick the water carefully off of her coat, she was so glad to be able to take a moment to do something like this she hadn't been able to pause and clean herself for a while. She really hadn't been able to do it in a while. So many times she couldn't find a den and she normally put on a fake smile and continued to walk. But now she finally had a moment to relax. "Thank you so much you have no idea how much this means to me." Flustered, Fleance stammered. "N-no, don't worry about it. It's not even my cave, really." He tried to laugh and offered her a smile. It might actually be nice to have company to weather out the storm in. A mighty crack of thunder ripped through the sky and he flinched. An uneasy laugh and he scooted a little bit further into the cave, although he wanted to make sure the lioness wasn't uncomfortable or worried about his approach.
"I'm Fleance, by the way."
Though he was massive in size, he was wearing his mortal guise, and his wings and divinity were hidden. Therefore, he left off the other part of his introduction that included 'I'm the god of ashes.' He wasn't so full of himself that he flaunted that fact.

Yin-Bug Emm felt a little more relieved that the lion seemed okay with the idea that she was going to be staying with him. This was a bit of a sigh of relief. "I still want to thank you, you were here before me, you didn't have to share." She laughed nervously. She hoped this male was staying friendly, thats what she was hoping for the rest of the night and maybe some of tomorrow morning. Depending on when this storm stopped of course...
She blinked for a moment before speaking again. "You can scoot forward some, there is more room and I don't take up much room." She chuckled awkwardly again.
She looked around uncomfortably. She wanted to say something but she was at lost for words. There wasn't anything that came to the top of her head. "Oh no! It's alright, really!" Fleance was made to feel bad again, because he seemed to make her feel awkward. He moved a little bit closer and laid down, curling his tail around him and projecting complete ease. Or at least trying to. He looked out at the storm and sighed. They could be in the cave for a while.
"We might be in this cave for a while."
Anything to break the silence, even though the rain, wind, and thunder. He smiled and looked back at her. "What's your name?" Lightning flashed and he grimaced, though he didn't show it. His meek nature gave her nothing to be worried about.

Emm looked at the male and nodded quietly before laying her head on her paws, she was trying to calm down and better yet trying not to pass out. She paused for a moment before then flicking her hair out of her eyes. She really hoped that she didn't pass out, that would be a little embarrassing in her mind, as she thought that she thought that she should also speak up at least warn the male that it might happen. "If I fall asleep forgive me, I'm very tired."
She nodded to him and then chuckled once again. "I agree," she closed her eyes and flicked her tail around a few more times and then paused once again then loked at him. "My name is Emm'ahlie. It's very nice to meet you, and it's very nice of you to share your cave with me." She nodded again before she laid her head on the ground, her eyes started to close and she could feel herself start to drift off... She knew that she couldn't stay up much longer, and it didn't take long until the lioness stopped shuffling and her breaths became deep and slow.

"It's nice to meet you too, Emm'ahile," he gave her a smile. "I'm a bit tired too. Might as well sleep, right?" The god closed his eyes and listened to the sounds around him as they lulled him to sleep.
The drumming of the rain on the ground outside, the rumble of thunder like a lion's mighty roar, and the soothing and gentle breathing of the lioness sharing his cave. He sighed contentedly and a peaceful smile crossed his face. Today wasn't so bad after all. He had a warm, dry place to sleep and peaceful, quiet company. Fleance fell asleep not long after she did and slept peacefully through the night. The end.
