Looking for images of coconut ice, I spotted a picture of sticky date pudding (not a very good one though)
  It was a website for an Australian bakery in NY
  I didn't realise that sticky date pudding was particularly Australian, but my google search seemed to come up with mostly Australian sites...
  Either way it is delicious
  I think I'll make a few more dessert polls :D

it also reminds me of my gram's plum pudding

thick with molasses, heavy with cloves and other spice

and brandy

she would put hard sauce all over it

but we usually save the effort and use ice cream.
